The Brampton House Memory Foam Pillow sold by Spotlight Australia is a standard memory foam pillow. Its published materials are broadly consistent, but its published dimensions are not. CHOICE, the Australian consumer testing organisation, lists the model without a firmness claim, and its performance scores are restricted to members. No accessible, independent evidence confirms that this pillow improves comfort, relieves pain or suits a particular sleep position. This review sets out what can be checked and what cannot.
Which product this covers
Spotlight lists the item as the Brampton House Memory Foam Pillow White Regular, on its product page. CHOICE reviews the Brampton House Memory Foam Pillow in its product review. Both describe the standard memory foam model. Neither explains whether the two listings refer to the same production revision, so treat the details below as the published specifications of each listing rather than a single confirmed product record.
Materials
The two sources describe the construction differently:
- CHOICE classifies the pillow as polyurethane.
- Spotlight describes the construction as polyester plus polyurethane and states that the pillow uses 100% visco-elastic memory foam.
Memory foams are commonly polyurethane-based, so the two descriptions are not strictly contradictory. However, Spotlight’s 100% figure does not say whether it refers to the filling or the whole pillow, and neither source explains how the polyester and foam are arranged or in what proportions. A buyer who needs a specific material composition, for example for an allergy or a care plan, should confirm it on the sewn-in label or with the retailer.

- BREATHABLE FABRIC: Our pillow protectors with zipper queen size are made of extremely soft cooling microfiber. Each pillow case with zipper will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Dimensions: the listings do not match
The two published sizes cannot be matched to each other:
| Source | Dimensions given | How the listing presents them |
|---|---|---|
| Spotlight product page | 43 × 72 cm | Standard size |
| CHOICE product review | 18 cm high × 62 cm wide × 36 cm long; weight 1.6 kg | Full product dimensions and weight |
The sources do not explain the measurement convention behind either set of figures, and this review does not reconcile them. Before choosing a pillowcase, protector or bed fit, measure the pillow you receive or check the dimensions on its label or with Spotlight.

Care instructions
The care guidance is not identical across sources:
- CHOICE states that the pillow should not be washed.
- Spotlight says to fluff the pillow regularly.
- A retailer care listing for the same product name, published by The Budget Warehouse (a New Zealand retailer, not Spotlight), advises airing the pillow before use, using a separate pillowcase and preferably a pillow protector to prevent soiling, and not washing it.
All three sources point the same way on washing. If the sewn-in care label on your pillow differs from these instructions, follow the label.

1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsContouring and temperature claims
Spotlight says the foam contours to the head, neck and spine and that it is temperature-sensitive. These are retailer descriptions of the product, not outcomes measured by an independent tester. Temperature-sensitive is a general property of visco-elastic foams, in which the material softens as body heat builds. The accessible evidence does not show that this pillow stays cool, reduces pain or improves sleep for any group of users.

What the CHOICE listing does and does not show
CHOICE’s product page confirms the model, its dimensions and weight, the absence of a firmness claim, and the no-wash instruction. Its Expert Rating and its fatigue, comfort, side-sleeping, back-sleeping, fold and sink scores are available only to members, so they are not part of the public evidence. The review names Matthew Steen, Director of Reviews and Testing, and Matthew Tung, a test coordinator, but does not publish an attributable quote about this model. The public record therefore contains no independent comfort score, no firmness rating and no sleep-position verdict for this pillow.
Firmness and sleep position
No accessible source states how firm the pillow is. The only published loft figure is the 18 cm height on CHOICE’s listing, and no source links that height to any sleeping position. Because the evidence does not address side, back or stomach sleeping, this review does not recommend the pillow for any of them. A buyer with a firmness or position requirement should either test it with a return option or, if a CHOICE membership is an option, check the restricted position scores directly.
Rank #4
- Pillow Protectors Set of 4: These pillow protectors are tailored to fit Standard-sized pillows, each measuring 20 x 26 inches. (Please note, this set includes pillow covers only, not the pillow inserts.)

- Zippered: A premium zipper and double-hemmed stitching keep your pillow securely enclosed and protected.
- Easy Care: Machine wash gently with the waterproof lining facing inward and tumble dry on low heat. Avoid ironing, bleaching, or dry cleaning.
- Bed Bug Proof Pillow Covers: The high-quality zipper completely encloses the pillow, offering strong protection against bed bugs.

Before you buy
- Check the dimensions on the label or with the retailer, since the two published listings differ.
- Read the sewn-in care label and follow it where it differs from the guidance above.
- Confirm the current price, VIP eligibility and stock at your local Spotlight store, as availability depends on location.
- Plan for a pillow protector and a separate pillowcase if you want to reduce soiling. These are recommended by the retailer care listing but are not included with the pillow.
- If you need a firmness or sleep-position verdict, look for independent results you can read rather than relying on the retailer description.
