Tom’s Guide reported Bose QuietComfort Headphones at $169, down from $359, on Amazon on October 7, 2026, describing the deal as over 50% off. Its coverage said October Prime Day ended that night, so this is a dated offer—not confirmation that the price is still available. Check the live Amazon listing for the current price, stock, eligible model or color, and any Prime-member requirement. [Tom’s Guide, October 7, 2026]
What the Bose QuietComfort headphones offer
Bose lists this model as an around-ear wireless headphone with active noise cancelling, Bluetooth 5.1, a built-in microphone, and a removable cushion. The box includes a carry case, an audio cable, and a USB-C cable. Bose specifies up to 24 hours of battery life; that is the manufacturer’s figure, not an independent test result. Bose positions the headphones for travel, office, and home listening. The company also describes them as successors to QuietComfort 45 Headphones. [Bose QuietComfort product page]
Are they suitable for workouts?
They may suit light gym use if you prefer an over-ear fit and can keep the headphones dry, but the available Bose product information does not establish a workout-specific design, a secure fit during vigorous movement, or sweat resistance for this model. Bose’s workout category identifies secure fit and water resistance as useful fitness-headphone attributes; those category-level descriptions do not mean this QuietComfort model has them. For running, high-intensity training, or sessions likely to involve heavy sweat, do not assume these headphones are protected. The cited product details provide no IP water-resistance rating or sweat-resistance claim. Consider a model whose manufacturer explicitly documents those protections and fit characteristics instead.
Should you buy them at the reported deal price?
If you want noise-cancelling over-ear headphones primarily for travel, work, or home listening, the reported $169 price was substantially below the listed $359 reference price. Because the deal coverage was published on the event’s closing day, verify the live listing before deciding; the reported price may have expired or changed. [Tom’s Guide, October 7, 2026]
