The Bosch PXE651FC1E is a 60 cm Series 6 induction hob with four cooking positions and a flexible cooking zone on the left. Bosch describes a useful set of touch controls, timers, frying assistance and safety features, but those are manufacturer specifications—not independent performance-test results. Bosch currently marks the model as no longer available on its UK and Australian product pages, so buyers should verify stock and regional suitability before considering one.
What is the Bosch PXE651FC1E?
It is a four-position induction hob. The two cooking zones on the left can work together as a 40 cm-long FlexInduction area, while the right side has a 145 mm rear zone and a 210 mm front zone. That layout gives you a flexible area for suitable cookware as well as two separately sized positions. These are Bosch-listed specifications, not a claim about tested cooking performance.
Because it uses induction, cookware must be suitable for induction. Check the PXE651FC1E manual for Bosch’s cookware guidance and operating instructions before use; the FlexInduction feature does not make non-induction pans compatible.

Flexible cooking and touch controls
Bosch describes FlexInduction as allowing cookware of different shapes and sizes to be positioned within the flexible left-side area. DirectSelect uses a touch bar to choose power and additional functions. The UK/Ireland specification lists 17 power settings per zone.

Timers and automatic functions
The UK/Ireland sheet lists a timer with automatic switch-off and a separate alarm timer. QuickStart is intended to select the zone where cookware is detected when the hob starts. ReStart can restore previous settings if you switch the hob back on within four seconds after an unintended switch-off.
Bosch’s UK/Ireland sheet describes a fryingSensor with four temperature settings. Bosch’s Australian product information additionally lists nine automatic frying programs; that is a regional-document claim and should not be assumed to apply to every variant or market.

Safety and cleanup
Listed controls include a two-stage residual-heat indicator, a control-panel lock, a 30-second lock for wiping the panel, a main on/off switch and a safety cut-out. The UK/Ireland sheet also lists an energy-consumption display for the last cooking process. These descriptions explain the intended functions; they do not establish how well the features perform in practice.

Bosch’s regional product information gives overall dimensions of 51 × 592 × 522 mm and a required niche of 51 × 560 × 490–500 mm. The niche dimensions are not a substitute for checking the actual cabinet and installation instructions: confirm the full model variant, countertop requirements and local installation rules before cutting or fitting a replacement hob.

These electrical and fit figures are from Bosch’s UK/Ireland specification and may not match every regional variant. The sheet’s 7.4 kW connected-load rating and 16 A, 13 A or 10 A power-management options do not by themselves determine whether your home needs a particular circuit, breaker or connection. Ask a qualified installer to check the exact appliance variant and local electrical requirements.
What does Bosch say about heating speed and energy use?
Bosch’s UK/Ireland sheet says PowerBoost provides “50% more energy than at the highest standard level.” Bosch’s Australian page instead describes heating up to 35% faster than at the highest power level. These are differently worded regional claims, not equivalent measurements or an independent speed test.

A BSH EU product-information sheet dated 22 March 2025 states energy consumption of 178.3 Wh/kg for the hob. The sheet also reports zone-level figures. This product-information value should not be treated as a household bill estimate or as a comparative result from an independent test.
Is the Bosch PXE651FC1E still available?
Bosch’s UK product page says “Product is no longer available,” and Bosch’s Australian page also marks the model as no longer available. That describes the status on those regional Bosch pages; it does not establish whether an independent retailer or second-hand seller has stock elsewhere. No current price or live retailer inventory is established here, so verify the exact model, seller, condition and regional electrical compatibility before buying.

Can owners still get manuals and parts?
