The Bosch PVS675FB1E is a 60 cm Series 6 induction cooktop with four cooking zones and a Combi Zone that can join the two left-hand zones for larger cookware. It has practical controls and safety functions, but availability is the key caveat: Bosch’s Australian product page says “Product is no longer available,” and CHOICE also lists it as discontinued. Its published specifications can help owners and shoppers assess it, but they are not a substitute for independent performance results or a live stock check.

What is the Bosch PVS675FB1E?

The PVS675FB1E is a framed, 60 cm Bosch Series 6 induction hob. Bosch lists four cooking positions, Direct Select 1.0 touch controls and a Combi Zone. The product page lists neither a frying sensor nor Home Connect, so it is a relatively straightforward induction model rather than a connected or sensor-guided hob. Bosch’s Australian product page

Induction heats compatible cookware using magnetic-based heating. If you are unsure about a pan, check whether a magnet sticks firmly to its base; Bosch identifies magnetic cookware as necessary for induction. Bosch’s built-in catalogue

Cooking zones and power

Bosch’s specification sheet lists four individual zones, each with 17 power levels. The PowerBoost figures below are the listed maximum outputs with the boost function, not a promise of a particular cooking time.

What Combi Zone and Move Mode do

Combi Zone for larger cookware

Combi Zone joins the two left-side cooking zones so they can accommodate larger cookware. This is useful when a pan or griddle does not sit neatly over one circular zone. Bosch describes the function, but the available specifications do not establish how evenly any particular pan will heat.

Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop, Countertop Burner 1800W Silver 9600LS
  • PORTABLE INDUCTION BURNER: Duxtop induction cooktop uses 110/120 V 15 amp electrical outlet–standard in all North American homes. ETL listed and built to North American electrical standards. It is lightweight and compact for easy handling and storage
  • Choose from 20 preset power levels (100 to 1800 W) and 20 preset temperature level settings (100 °F to 460 °F). With an 83% energy efficiency, induction burner is more efficient than traditional gas or electric stoves
  • DIGITAL LCD SENSOR: Touch control panel: child safety lock keeps the cooking and timer settings from being accidentally changed once they have been set; fast boil button; keep warm button (for 1-30 minutes at 140 °F); up to 10-hour timer button
  • Induction stoves rely on cookware to heat, so it’s essential to choose magnetic bottom cookware with a minimum diameter of 5 inches. Auto-pan detection will shut off automatically after 60 seconds if no cookware, or the incorrect cookware is detected
  • Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning

Move Mode for simpler power changes

Move Mode divides a zone into two preset power levels. Bosch describes it as a way to move cookware between those levels rather than repeatedly selecting a setting; the listed feature should not be confused with a sensor that automatically identifies what is in a pan.

Controls, convenience and safety features

The published feature list includes:

  • PowerBoost, which Bosch says can heat large quantities of water faster; its Australian product page claims up to 35% faster heating than the highest standard setting. That percentage is Bosch’s comparison claim, not an independently verified test result.
  • A timer with automatic switch-off, plus QuickStart and ReStart.
  • An energy-consumption display and two-stage residual-heat indicators.
  • A child lock and automatic safety switch-off.

These are manufacturer-listed functions. They describe what the hob is designed to offer, not independent evidence of speed, energy savings, reliability or ease of cleaning. Bosch PVS675FB1E product page Bosch specification sheet

Dimensions and installation fit

Bosch’s Australian specification sheet gives appliance dimensions of 606 × 527 mm (width × depth) and installation dimensions of 51 × 560 × 490 mm (height × width × depth). It specifies a 30 mm minimum worktop thickness. CHOICE rounds the installation dimensions to 56 × 49 cm and the appliance size to 61 × 53 cm. Use the precise dimensions and installation instructions for the relevant regional version when checking a worktop cutout; rounded catalogue figures are not a cutting template.

The 6.9 kW connected load also makes electrical suitability a necessary check, not an assumption. Have a qualified installer confirm the home’s supply and the correct local installation requirements before purchase or fitting. The cited specification sheet is Australian. Is the PVS675FB1E still available?

Availability depends on country and retailer. Bosch Home Appliances Australia currently labels its listing “Product is no longer available,” and CHOICE identifies the model as discontinued. That does not establish whether an individual retailer elsewhere has remaining stock, so check local listings and confirm the exact model number before buying. Bosch Australia CHOICE

What the available review evidence can—and cannot—tell you

The published material establishes the model’s listed features, dimensions and electrical load, but not its real-world cooking performance. There is no basis here for claiming a particular noise level, cleaning experience, reliability record or owner consensus. Treat Bosch’s feature and speed statements as manufacturer claims, and seek accessible independent test data if comparative performance is central to your decision.

For an existing hob, Bosch has model support pages for service information, manuals, troubleshooting and spare parts. Availability and documentation can vary by region; select the country that applies to your appliance. Bosch UK service page Bosch Australia service page

Who should consider this model?

  • Existing owners: The support pages are the practical starting point for model-specific documentation and service information.
  • Replacement shoppers: Confirm that the cutout, worktop thickness and electrical supply match the exact regional instructions before committing to a replacement.
  • Buyers seeking a new hob: Because the model is marked unavailable in Australia and listed as discontinued by CHOICE, verify live stock and warranty terms locally. If you are comparing alternatives, focus on fit, electrical requirements, zone flexibility, connectivity or sensor features, availability and independently accessible test results.
