The Bosch PIE631FB1E is a 60 cm Series 6 induction hob with four cooking zones, DirectSelect touch controls and Power Boost on the zones. Bosch Germany’s product page marks it as no longer available, so treat this article as a specification reference for an appliance that may be discontinued, sold out or still listed by some retailers. It is not a recommendation to buy.
This is a specification-led review. No hands-on testing, independent laboratory results, cooking trials or owner-review data were available for this article, so it makes no claims about real-world heating speed, noise, reliability or cleaning ease. Is the Bosch PIE631FB1E still available?
Bosch Germany’s product page for the PIE631FB1E reads “Das Produkt ist nicht mehr verfügbar” (the product is no longer available). That statement describes the German page only. It is not a worldwide discontinuation date, and it does not tell you what any retailer holds in stock. Availability depends on the market and the seller, so check the current listing in your country before assuming a new unit can be bought. Second-hand and refurbished units, and units sold under a different regional name, are outside what Bosch’s pages cover.

The zone figures come from the Australia sheet only, and the sheets do not state how the four zones share the 7.4 kW connected load. Use the diameters to check whether your pans fit each zone. Pans much smaller than the zone may not heat efficiently on induction, which is a general induction principle rather than a Bosch test result.
Power Boost: what Bosch claims
Bosch’s German page states that Power Boost heats “up to 35% faster” compared with the highest power level. In Bosch’s wording, “Power Boost: up to 35 % faster heating compared to highest power level.” This is the manufacturer’s feature claim. No independent comparison was available to confirm it, and the figure does not tell you how long any particular pan takes to reach a set temperature.

Electrical connection
Bosch’s Singapore and Australia sheets both list a total connection rating of 7.4 kW. That figure is the appliance’s connected load, not a supply requirement for every home. Wiring, circuit protection and supply suitability depend on your local electrical rules and the installation guide for your region. A qualified installer should confirm the circuit before you commit to the model.

Bosch’s regional sheets give two sets of measurements: the appliance itself and the niche it sits in. The sheets differ slightly, so compare them against the installation guide for your region before cutting a worktop.

If your cabinetry leaves little depth margin, the 490–500 mm range on the Singapore sheet is the more cautious figure to plan around, but the regional installation document for your model is the final reference.

Accessories and cookware
Bosch’s Singapore sheet lists these accessories for the hob family: HEZ390090 wok set, HEZ9ES100 four-cup espresso maker, HEZ9FE280 iron pan Ø 18 / 28 cm, HEZ9SE030 set of two pots and one pan, HEZ9SE040 four-piece set, and HEZ9SE060 six-piece set. Current availability and compatibility with your region were not verified. Listing an accessory does not prove that every pan works on the hob. Induction cookware must be marked as suitable for induction, and a magnet should stick firmly to the base.
