Bluehost has two different AI website-building routes, and the distinction matters: its WordPress AI Builder is included with eligible hosting plans, while a separate AI Website Builder has a 14-day trial and its own publishing plan. The WordPress option creates three design concepts from your description, then leaves you with a customizable WordPress site—not a separate, closed website platform. Neither route has a single price that applies to every Bluehost AI builder offer.
What Bluehost’s AI website builder is
Bluehost’s current product page calls its WordPress-based tool the WordPress AI Builder. It is a guided starting point for creating a WordPress site: describe your site and business, add or generate a logo, review three AI-generated designs, then customize the selected design in WordPress or publish it. Bluehost says the tool is included with eligible WordPress or web hosting plans.
Bluehost describes WonderSuite as the earlier name for its WordPress site-creation experience. The current result remains a WordPress installation, with access to WordPress themes, plugins, and editing tools. The AI generates a starting design; it does not remove the need to choose content, check the result, and manage the site.

| Route | How it works | Trial and publishing |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress AI Builder | Included with eligible hosting; generates three WordPress designs to customize in WordPress. | Bluehost says this route has no separate free trial; hosting-plan pricing applies. |
| AI Website Builder | A separate prompt-based builder. Its setup flow can accept up to three uploaded images and one reference URL, and offers an online-store choice plus AI and manual editing. | Bluehost’s help article describes a 14-day trial, followed by an upgrade to publish; it also describes a direct-to-paid option. |
These are separate product paths, so do not assume the standalone builder’s trial, credit allowance, or price applies to the WordPress AI Builder. Bluehost’s setup guide gives the separate builder’s flow; its product page gives details for the hosting-included WordPress route.
How much does Bluehost’s WordPress AI Builder cost?
The following are the US prices and selected features displayed on Bluehost’s WordPress AI Builder page, accessed October 7, 2026. Each introductory monthly rate requires a 36-month term; the renewal rate is higher. Prices and bundles can change, so check the live checkout before committing.
| Plan | Introductory rate and term | Displayed renewal rate | Selected listed features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $3.99/month for 36 months | $9.99/month | 10 websites, 10 GB NVMe storage, AI site creation, domain free for the first year, free CDN, weekly backups, 24/7 chat; no phone support |
| Business | $6.99/month for 36 months | $13.99/month | 50 websites, 50 GB NVMe storage, AI site creation, phone support, weekly backups, domain privacy for the first year |
| eCommerce Essentials | $14.99/month for 36 months | $21.99/month | 100 websites, 100 GB NVMe storage, AI site creation, phone support and commerce tools |
Bluehost’s page also displays a 30-day money-back guarantee; consult its terms for eligibility and exclusions. These are hosting-plan prices, not month-to-month equivalents. The separately documented AI Website Builder help page directs users to that product’s own page for current paid-plan pricing. A secondary page updated September 18, 2026, reports standalone-builder prices of $9.99/month on 12- or 24-month terms or $15.99 month-to-month, but those figures should not be treated as the price of every Bluehost AI builder plan.
Are there AI limits or extra setup considerations?
Bluehost says the separate AI Website Builder uses credits shown in a monthly counter. Credits typically reset each billing cycle and do not roll over; the active allowance depends on the trial or paid plan. Confirm the allowance shown in the product or checkout before relying on it, since Bluehost can change the limits.

Can you move a Bluehost AI-built site elsewhere?
Bluehost says users retain ownership of their content and data and can move a WordPress site to another WordPress-compatible host. That is a vendor statement, not proof that every site transfers in one click or that every detail will carry over unchanged. Before choosing a plan, consider whether your theme settings, media, menus, plugins, and customizations will need separate migration or rebuilding work.
What do the performance claims establish?
Bluehost’s managed WordPress hosting page advertises a 99.99% uptime SLA. An SLA is a contractual service claim, not a measurement of the uptime a particular customer will experience. Bluehost also cites WPShout figures of 0.35 seconds for US load time, a 98/100 performance score, and 0.65 seconds for first contentful paint. The cited page does not provide the test date, site configuration, or methodology, so those vendor-presented figures are not a reliable forecast for your site.
Rank #4
The published product and support pages describe features, workflows, and plan terms; they do not establish an independent hands-on assessment of the generated sites, ease of use, support quality, or real-world speed. Treat those as questions to evaluate against your own needs rather than as proven outcomes.
Who is Bluehost’s AI builder a good fit for?
- Consider the WordPress AI Builder if you want a hosted WordPress site, want AI to propose an initial design, and are prepared to edit and maintain the site in WordPress. Compare the full 36-month cost with the renewal rate, not just the introductory monthly figure.
- Consider the separate AI Website Builder if its prompt-led trial and publishing route better matches what you need. Check its own credit allowance and paid publishing price; do not infer them from the WordPress hosting plans.
- Look beyond the AI-generated starting point if your priority is a finished, highly customized site with little ongoing maintenance. The available evidence does not establish that Bluehost’s generated designs eliminate the work of content creation, customization, or site upkeep.
For a comparison with another website option, check whether it is a WordPress installation or a closed hosted builder, what themes and plugins it permits, what hosting and backups are included, the renewal price, support channels, commerce capabilities, and the practical work involved in ongoing maintenance or migration. The available Bluehost product information does not establish a comparative ranking against other builders.
