Furthermore, the BLU G9 Pro will probably remind you of the Samsung Galaxy A50 – if you have come across it before. Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy A50 is one of those smartphones the BLU G9 Pro was designed to compete against.
In all honesty, this smartphone measures up well against the Samsung smartphones.

BLU G9 Pro: Display Features
One of the most impressive upgrades of the BLU G9 Pro is its sharper and clearer display. The BLU G9 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch IPS LED display with an FHD (1080 x 2340) resolution.
Thanks to the improved resolution, the display offers a more crisp and well-defined viewing experience at 409 PPI. Furthermore, the colors on the display are super vibrant and the viewing angles are excellent.
Moreover, its 19.5:9 aspect ratio coupled with its ultra-slim bezels make the smartphone’s display look more beautiful. Hence, watching movies or YouTube videos on the BLU G9 Pro is a delight.
The smartphone’s 91% screen to body ratio also adds to the cinematic experience it offers. Playing games is also more interesting on the BLU G9 Pro.
Moving over to outdoor visibility, the BLU G9 Pro has been designed to offer a 100% screen brightness under sunlight. Although it gets bright enough, it could have been better if it gets a bit brighter.
What’s even better is that this display is protected with a Gorilla glass coating. This glass protection helps to protect the display from minor cracks and oil stains.
In conclusion, the BLU G9 Pro offers a beautiful display with excellent color reproduction. Therefore, it scores an eight in this review.
BLU G9 Pro: Camera Features
The BLU G9 Pro comes with a triple camera setup behind the phone. There is a 5 MP camera for sensing & portrait effects, a 20 MP camera for night mode, and a 16 MP primary camera.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

However, this smartphone’s software-based portrait mode doesn’t offer a satisfactory performance when using the front camera.
But the main rear shooter performs much better thanks to its separate depth sensor. It doesn’t depend on software effects to adjust field depth.
Furthermore, this smartphone’s camera is also good for video making. However, you will have to settle for recording only in 1080p at 30 FPS since the smartphone’s camera doesn’t offer 4k recordings.

In its entirety, this device has some of the best cameras BLU has to offer currently. However, as expected, the smartphone’s camera is not up to the level of quality you would get in a flagship device.
But you have to consider the fact that the BLU G9 Pro is dramatically cheaper than a flagship device too. Therefore, the BLU G9 Pro scores a seven in this review for its good camera features and performance.
BLU G9 Pro: Battery Life and Talk Time
Much to my surprise, BLU equipped the BLU G9 Pro with a 4000 mAh battery. This large battery capacity provides an amazing battery life as expected.
On a single charge, the BLU G9 Pro can last up to a day or two depending on the rate of usage. Moreover, you can get up to 9 hours of on-screen time with this smartphone’s battery.

Additionally, with wireless charging feature, you don’t need to plug in the smartphone.

Aside from that, this smartphone’s battery features and performance is impressive for a smartphone of its range. Hence, the BLU G9 Pro scores an eight in this review for its amazing battery features and performance.
BLU G9 Pro: Storage Options & Performance
The BLU G9 Pro impresses once again with its storage offering. The smartphone comes with an impressive 128 GB of internal storage!
A budget smartphone of this price range with 128 GB internal storage is a complete bargain. Hence, storage capacity is undeniably one of the best aspects of the BLU G9 Pro.
The large storage capacity on this smartphone means there will be enough room for file storage. You will be able to easily store a large amount of music, pictures, documents, and other files.

Sensors are used in modern smartphones to detect changes in the nearby environment and to send the data acquired to the operating system or processor. Most smartphones usually come with a number of sensors.
The BLU G9 Pro is no exception. It comes with an accelerometer, compass, gyro, and Proximity sensors.
The accelerometer detects axis-based motion sensing. It senses the changes in the orientation of the smartphone with respect to x, y, and z-axis.
With the accelerometer, the phone is able to automatically change the orientation of the phone as you move it from vertical to horizontal – and vice versa.
As I mentioned earlier, BLU G9 Pro also comes with a compass. Just like normal compasses, the compass sensor in the phone helps in detecting directions.
The compass sensor also provides the smartphone with a simple orientation in relation to the Earth’s magnetic field so the phone can always know your physical position. Although most users may not require this feature, it is nice to know that it is there in case you ever need it.
Furthermore, the phone also comes with a gyro sensor. The gyro sensor is an advanced version of the accelerometer. While the accelerometer detects axis-based motion sensing, the gyroscope works with the accelerometer and detects each degree of changes in orientation.

One important benefit of the proximity sensor is that when you are making a phone call, it detects the proximity of your ears. Then, it dims the phone’s display to save battery.
You also get a fingerprint sensor positioned on the back of the BLU G9 Pro. Other android security locks and even facial identification also comes with the BLU G9 Pro.
The fingerprint sensor works quickly to unlock the smartphone and so does the facial unlock. Both security features were easy to set up and they also worked a s quickly as possible.
Hence, the BLU G9 Pro scores an nine in this review for its variety of sensors and security features.
