To stop a merchant from using your Cash App account for future payments, open the account’s Activity tab and use the option to block that merchant. Cash App’s U.S. Terms of Service give this route but do not specify an exact button label or device-specific sequence, so the wording and layout may vary.
Important: Blocking a merchant does not cancel a subscription, recurring charge, or outstanding balance. Contact the merchant directly to cancel a subscription or resolve an amount you owe.

Block a merchant from future Cash App payments
- Open Cash App and go to the Activity tab.
- Find the merchant and use the control to block it from using your account as a payment method for future payments. Cash App’s terms do not name the control or provide a device-specific screen sequence.
Cash App describes this as blocking a merchant from using your account as a payment method; it is not a general cancellation or refund action. The instruction appears in the Cash App U.S. Terms of Service, last updated June 4, 2026.
Cancel a subscription or resolve an existing charge separately
Blocking does not cancel existing subscriptions or recurring charges, and it does not remove outstanding account balances. Contact the merchant to cancel a subscription or address a balance. A block documented for Cash App Pay may cause a payment in that partner payment flow to be declined, but this does not establish that every merchant’s independent subscription billing will stop.

Report a completed or suspicious payment
If a payment has already gone through or you suspect a scam, report it separately; blocking a merchant is not a dispute or refund decision. Cash App’s scam guidance says you can report a transaction in the app. Its published route is to open Activity, select the payment, then tap Report an issue. If you do not recognize a charge, report it promptly to Cash App and contact the bank or card issuer connected to the payment as appropriate. The right route can depend on whether the payment used your Cash App balance or a linked financial instrument. Reporting does not guarantee a refund or recovery.

If you cannot find the block option
Cash App’s published terms identify the Activity tab but do not document a precise button label or sequence for every device. If the merchant or control is not visible, use Cash App Support from your profile rather than relying on an assumed menu path. For developers, Cash App Pay’s Payment Flow Operations documentation lists a decline reason for a customer who has blocked a merchant; that technical detail applies to the documented Cash App Pay flow, not every merchant’s separate billing system.
