Blackview’s PlayPop 8 is a small HDMI-connected motion gaming console designed for screen-based games controlled by body movement rather than conventional gamepads. Blackview says it tracks players through a front camera, supports up to four people on one screen, and includes five starter games. The company has not established independent performance or health-outcome testing in the available product information.
How does PlayPop 8 work?
Connect the console to a television, monitor, or projector with HDMI, connect it to Wi-Fi, and stand in view of its front-facing 12 MP camera. Blackview says its system uses 17-point body tracking to translate movement into game actions, so players do not need conventional game controllers. HDMI video output is specified by Blackview at up to 4K/60 fps; that is a manufacturer specification, not an independently tested result.
Blackview recommends placing or mounting the device 40–140 cm above the floor. Its suggested distance is about 1.5 m for solo play and 2–3 m for group play. Allow enough clear floor space for everyone to move safely, and check the screen’s available HDMI input before setup.

- Your body controls the action: Watch your child raise an arm, jump, or dance as natural movements become part of the game. This motion gaming console combines a 12MP 176°wide-angle camera with 17-point AI body tracking, letting kids and adults join in without holding a gaming controller. In supported game menus, wave to browse modes and hold your hand still to select. With fewer accessories to pass around, everyone can focus on the challenge and the people playing beside them.
- Capable hardware behind the fun: When the family gathers for motion sensor games, processing power and storage support the experience. An octa-core Rockchip RK3576 processor and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM handle game processing and motion recognition, while 128GB UFS 2.2 storage provides room for downloaded titles. Keep a selection available for different moods, from dancing with the kids to a sports challenge with your partner. Usable storage is lower after system files and installed content.

How many people can play, and what games are available?
Players and game categories
Blackview says up to four players can play together on one screen. Its listed game categories are family/party, casual/fun, puzzle/brain, sports/fitness, music/dance, and action/adventure. A four-player session still depends on having sufficient room for movement and a camera view that includes the players.
Starter games and GamePass
Blackview says five starter games are included. The company describes PlayPop GamePass as providing access to a premium library, quarterly releases, seasonal events, challenges, and a growing game collection. A compatible display with an available HDMI input and Wi-Fi access are also part of the described setup. Because the HDMI cable is listed as included, an extra cable is not presented as a required purchase.
What does Blackview say about camera privacy?
Blackview says the camera has a physical shutter and that AI bone-tracking calculations are processed on the device without uploading that tracking data to the cloud. These are the manufacturer’s statements, not the results of an independent security audit; they do not establish how every other type of device or account data is handled. The shutter can physically cover the camera when it is not in use.
