Blackbird can fit more than one job in Neverness to Everness (NTE): she can lead a Psyche team, support another damage dealer with off-field attacks, or help trigger reactions such as Nova and Stain. Current guides list Discord-focused teams with Zankou and Daffodill, plus a Stain/Chaos option with Hathor and Zero. None is established as the universal highest-damage lineup, so choose based on your roster, intended reaction, and who you want on the field.
What makes Blackbird flexible in NTE?
Blackbird’s basic-attack sequence builds Malice, which parts of her Witch of Deliverance sequence consume. Her Ultimate transforms her into the Witch of Deliverance, and its duration does not decrease while she is off-field. That lets you pause her sequence, swap to a teammate for attacks or skills, then return to Blackbird to continue.
Her Redirect Skill, Netherplume Rite, marks a target with Forsaken Feather. While the mark remains, another active ally damaging that target can trigger Forsaken Bird, a coordinated Psyche attack. The Neverness.gg build guide says Forsaken Bird can trigger at most once every two seconds and up to five times total. Neverness.gg’s Blackbird build guide was updated September 30, 2026.

The specialist team guide also says Netherplume Rite immediately fills the Esper Cycle Gauge. This makes Blackbird useful not only for her own attacks, but also for setting up an Esper Cycle interaction before another character takes the field. Icy Veins’ NTE team guide was updated October 7, 2026.

Which Blackbird team should you choose?
When players ask, “What are the best Blackbird teams I can make?”, start by deciding who should do most of the on-field damage and which reaction you want to build around. These examples come from current team guidance, but their inclusion does not prove they are equally strong or that any one is best for every account.

How do the Discord and Stain reactions fit?
Discord with Zankou and Daffodill
The listed Discord lineups use Blackbird with Daffodill, a Chaos character, to enable Nova. Zankou supplies Incantation, which can add Scorch to the plan, while Sakiri is the listed support. The alternative with Lacrimosa is described as leaning more toward damage over time.

The character database describes Nova as dealing Mental Damage when its five-second effect ends. That is a game-mechanic description, not a measured estimate of team damage.
Stain with a Chaos teammate
Psyche paired with Lakshana can trigger Stain. The character database describes Stain as increasing Psyche and Lakshana damage taken by 20% for 12 seconds. In the Blackbird / Chaos / Hathor / Zero plan, Chaos can take the field while Blackbird contributes coordinated attacks from Forsaken Feather.

Those percentages describe the reaction mechanic; they do not demonstrate how much damage a particular team will deal in an encounter. The result depends on the characters, their investment, and how the rotation is executed.

How to decide what to build around
- Choose the main field-time damage dealer. Decide whether Blackbird will lead the rotation or whether Zankou, Chaos, or another teammate should spend more time attacking.
- Pick the reaction plan. Use the Discord lineups as examples if you have the relevant characters; consider a Stain-oriented plan when your roster supports the Psyche/Lakshana interaction.
- Check your roster and investment. The named compositions require specific characters. A team guide listing a lineup is not evidence that it will outperform alternatives for your account.
- Match the rotation to your comfort. Blackbird’s off-field Ultimate and coordinated attacks reward swapping: mark the target, let an ally attack to trigger Forsaken Bird, and return to Blackbird before her Ultimate window ends.
Do any Blackbird teams have proven “insane DMG”?
The cited guides describe mechanics and team compositions, but they do not provide a named, dated damage benchmark that establishes a universal Blackbird team ranking.
