Vandorn Farm Survival is a confined, round-based holdout in the farmstead area of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s larger Ashes of the Damned map. The goal is to endure as long as possible—not to complete the larger map’s quests or Easter Eggs. Your best fundamentals are to keep moving, use the barn’s elevation to make pursuers take the long way around, and keep upgrading before later rounds leave you no safe time to do it.
What is Vandorn Farm Survival?
Survival takes one location from a larger Round-Based Zombies map and asks you to hold out there using the resources available inside it. Activision’s September 30, 2025 Vandorn Farm guide says the mode has no quests or Easter Eggs to pursue. It is a simpler objective than exploring the full Ashes of the Damned map: stay alive as the rounds get harder.
Activision’s September 2025 Zombies deep dive describes the farmstead as enclosed by a perimeter, with the usual escape vehicle out of commission. It also says players need to restore power and decide when to Exfil rather than wait until they are overwhelmed. Those are launch-design details; later updates may change elements of play.
How should you move around the farm?
Do not wait for a horde to seal off your route before repositioning. The farm offers limited room to kite a large group, so keep an exit path in mind and start moving while you still have space. The official guide recommends using both ground level and the barn’s elevation: changing levels can make zombies travel farther to reach you and buy time to reposition.

- Keep a route open: Notice where you can move next before immediate danger arrives.
- Use the barn’s height: Move between elevated and ground-level areas to add distance to a pursuing horde.
- Leave early: Start moving before the group closes around you, rather than trying to escape after the path is blocked.
The Blade Trap is one option Activision specifically calls out for a dire situation. Treat it as a way to help create breathing room, not as a replacement for movement; the official guide does not establish specific trap timing or damage figures.
What should you upgrade first?
Activision’s guide warns that each round increases the difficulty and advises players not to let upgrading stall. It names four parts of the routine: Pack-a-Punch, weapon rarity upgrades at the Arsenal, Perk-a-Colas, and replenishing supplies. The guide does not rank these purchases, so choose according to what your run needs rather than assuming one fixed order is optimal.

- Restore farm power so you can use the map’s powered resources.
- Improve your weapon with Pack-a-Punch and, when useful, a higher rarity from the Arsenal.
- Buy Perk-a-Colas that support your needs, then replenish supplies as they run low.
- Use downtime deliberately: if it is safe, briefly leave one zombie alive while you make purchases, but complete the upgrades promptly.
Do not assume that machine placements in Standard mode match Survival. Activision says accessible caches and machines retain their positions, while some other Crafting Tables, Wall Buys, and machines from outside the Standard-mode area are moved into Survival. Pack-a-Punch and Der Wunderfizz are examples it gives of machines added to the Vandorn Farm Survival layout. Learn the Survival layout itself so you know where to go when a round gives you a short opening.

Activision’s November 2025 launch equipment blog lists 12 launch Perk-a-Colas: Wisp Tea, Jugger-Nog, PhD Flopper, Elemental Pop, Melee Macchiato, Vulture Aid, Double Tap, Quick Revive, Deadshot Daiquiri, Death Perception, Stamin-Up, and Speed Cola. Its launch descriptions say Jugger-Nog increases maximum health, Stamin-Up increases movement speed, Quick Revive helps with health recovery and ally revives, and Speed Cola speeds reloads and armor plating. What the available guidance does—and does not—establish
The official map guide supports practical positioning and upgrade advice, but it does not publish a guaranteed high-round route, a best weapon or loadout, enemy-by-enemy counters, or quantitative rankings for how to spend Essence or Salvage. Later seasons have added Zombies content: Activision’s seasons page, accessed October 7, 2026, lists updates including Tenshu Survival and Season 06 content. That page does not establish whether Vandorn Farm-specific balance has changed, so treat any claim about the current best build or strategy as unverified unless supported by newer Vandorn-specific information.
