Skyline is a Core 6v6 Black Ops 6 map set on a luxury resort rooftop above Avalon. The Pool is a key but exposed objective area; the underground Duct offers a way beneath it; and elevated positions on the Roof and Office landings create long sight lines. Knowing how these routes connect helps you choose when to cross, hold an angle, or rotate through cover.
Skyline at a glance
The official Call of Duty Skyline map guide, credited to Dan Noel and published August 27, 2024, classifies Skyline as a Core 6v6 map. Its named areas include the Lounge, Kitchen, Gym, Pool, Garden, Roof, Office, and Panic Room. The layout rewards attention to both levels: a direct route may expose you to fire from above, while a detour through the Duct can bypass the most open central spaces.

How to move around Skyline
Crossing the Pool and Kitchen
The Pool is one of the map’s most important—and most exposed—areas. The guide notes that it can be watched from above and below on three sides, and identifies it as the Domination B-flag location and the first Hardpoint zone. Crossing alone can leave you vulnerable to several angles. When your team is contesting it, second-level teammate support can help cover the approach and make a hold more manageable.
The Kitchen sits beside the Pool. Its central bar top provides cover from the Pool, but the bar is exposed from both sides, so it is not a safe position if opponents can reach either flank. The Gym also faces the Pool through glass windows; use cover near the pool table or stationary bike rather than treating the windows as protection. Stairs from the Gym lead toward the Corridor.

Using the underground Duct
The Duct is Skyline’s below-map route. Enter it from the Lounge Elevator or by moving furniture in the Bathroom. It connects to the Panic Room and lets you travel beneath the Pool, trading the exposed central crossing for a more contained route.
That route also matters for the Office: interacting with the security panel in the Duct activates security measures that close two Office access points. The guide says the desktop computer in the Office can trigger the same procedure. Treat this as a change to available access, not as a guaranteed way to control the Office; opponents can still approach through the routes that remain open.

Reaching and holding the Panic Room
You can enter the Panic Room through the secret bookcase or from the Duct via the Elevator route. It is a small, defensible space with two entrances, so watch both rather than focusing on only the doorway you used. The official guide’s advice is to enter with a close-ranged weapon and use the underground route to avoid the Pool and Kitchen. As the guide puts it, “Prevent panic: That’s what the Panic Room is for.”

Taking the Roof sight line
The low wall at the back of the Roof gives a view toward the Corridor. It is set back from the Pool, making it useful for watching that longer lane without standing directly on the Pool’s edge. This is a long-sight-line position, not a substitute for teammates covering the objective itself.

Approaching the Garden
The Garden has three forward paths. The guide recommends using its protruding stone wall to shape your sight lines, while the Fire Pit deck offers a ground-floor view. Routes from the Garden lead toward the Roof, Kitchen, or Bedroom, so check which approach opponents can use before settling into one angle.
Other useful connections
- West side and Helipad: The Helipad is a west-side spawn. The Lounge planter offers nearby cover, and second-floor Office landings provide elevated views.
- Terrace: This outdoor dining area connects to the building.
- Lounge to Office: The grand piano lid can serve as a ramp for vaulting into the Office, according to the official guide.
Choose a route for the fight you expect
These are practical ways to think about Skyline’s options, not tested rankings. The official guide describes the locations and offers loadout concepts, but does not quantify how often any route or setup succeeds.

What to know about the guide’s loadout suggestions
The official map guide presents three concepts—Hold the Line, Cannonball, and Wallflower—including Assault Rifle/Strategist and SMG/Enforcer setups. They are examples tied to different ways of playing the map, not evidence that any build is currently optimal. Weapon and perk balance can change, so use the concepts as starting points and check current in-game details before committing to a setup.
