The Bigme B13 is a 13.3-inch color ePaper monitor that can extend a computer’s display and, with the right hardware or wireless casting support, mirror a compatible phone. Its high-resolution 4:3 screen is aimed at reading and text-focused work—not at replacing a conventional LCD or OLED monitor for smooth video or color-critical projects.
What the Bigme B13 offers
Bigme’s B13 User Guide V1.1 describes a 13.3-inch, 4:3 color E-Ink panel with a 3200×2400 resolution and a stated refresh rate of 30 frames per second. The guide also lists touch control, front lighting with 36 cold- and warm-light levels, speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Mini-HDMI and Type-C video inputs, and a separate USB Type-C power port. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent lab measurements. Read the B13 User Guide V1.1.
TechRadar’s 2025 report gives further display and physical details: 150 PPI for color output, 300 PPI for black-and-white output, a weight of 660 g, and 6 mm thickness at the thinnest point. Can you connect the B13 to a laptop or phone?
Yes, if the source device can send video through a supported wired connection or use compatible wireless casting. The B13 guide documents Type-C and Mini-HDMI video input, as well as a Miracast input mode. Wireless mirroring depends on the source device supporting a compatible casting method; the presence of Miracast on the monitor does not make every phone or computer compatible.

Connect a computer by cable
- Power the monitor: connect a power source to the B13’s USB Type-C power port, as directed in the guide.
- Connect video: use Type-C-to-Type-C for a computer’s video-capable Type-C connection, or HDMI-to-Mini-HDMI from the computer’s HDMI output.
- Choose the input: select the matching Type-C or Mini-HDMI input on the monitor.
- Set the display shape: the guide recommends a 4:3 computer resolution for a full-screen image and describes 3200×2400 as an available Windows 10 setting. A different aspect ratio or resolution may not fill the panel as intended.
The guide lists HDMI-to-Mini-HDMI and Type-C-to-Type-C cables and a power adapter among the package accessories, along with a remote and manual. Confirm the contents of the specific package you are buying, but these principal connection cables are not described as mandatory extra purchases.
Connect a phone
For a wired phone connection, Bigme explicitly requires a phone with video-output capability. A USB-C connector alone does not establish that a phone can send video; the phone and cable both need to support video output. The guide names select Huawei and Samsung phones as examples, while warning that compatibility and performance vary by device and operating system. It does not promise compatibility with every phone.

The other documented option is wireless mirroring: select Miracast as the B13 input and pair a casting device, following the guide. Whether this works depends on the phone’s wireless-casting support.

TechRadar characterizes the B13 as a better fit for reading documents, editing text, browsing, and working with reports or contracts than for color-critical creative work or advanced data visualization. That distinction is central to choosing it: the screen’s ePaper character and reported pixel densities may suit static text, but its color output is not presented as a professional color-accuracy solution.

- Consider it for: a second screen for documents, text editing, reference material, and other work that is mostly static.
- Look elsewhere for: color-critical design, detailed data visualization, or use that depends on the look and motion of a conventional high-refresh display.
What ePaper behavior should you expect?
The B13 is not a conventional video panel. Bigme lists 30 frames per second, but that figure alone does not establish the smoothness of motion or make the display equivalent to a typical LCD or OLED monitor. TechRadar reports several display modes for text, web, images, and video, and notes that ghosting can occur. It describes a refresh button for clearing ghosting. Expect to choose a display mode for the content and occasionally refresh the screen, particularly when remnants of earlier content are visible.
The guide also lists front lighting with adjustable cold and warm levels. This describes the monitor’s lighting feature; it is not evidence of a medical or eye-health benefit.

Check fit, setup, and price before buying
Think through the whole setup, not just the panel size: whether your source supports video over Type-C, HDMI, or compatible casting; whether you have a stable place to position the monitor; and whether its ePaper refresh behavior suits your work. Bigme’s guide prints an overall size of 156.6×138.6×5.8 mm, but that figure may describe a component or reflect a labeling or transcription issue. Do not rely on it as the complete monitor dimensions without confirming with Bigme.
At access on October 5, 2026, Bigme’s official store displayed $659 USD against a struck-through $699 USD and described a Black Friday promotion. The page also said its presale price could not be combined with other in-store promotional offers.
