If you mean a phone case whose built-in battery can be recharged on a Qi pad, the key is to verify that feature explicitly for your exact phone model. That is different from a magnetic battery pack that wirelessly charges the phone while attached. The clearest documented example here is mophie’s Juice Pack Access for iPhone 11; newer Juice Pack listings do not by themselves confirm that the case battery recharges wirelessly.
What “wireless-charging battery case” means
A wireless-charging battery case contains its own battery and can receive power from a Qi charging pad. Some models can also pass power to the phone while both are on the pad. Check which direction the wireless power flows: a case that recharges the phone wirelessly is not necessarily a case that can itself be recharged wirelessly.
That distinction also separates battery cases from magnetic wireless power banks. Apple’s MagSafe battery guidance covers an external battery accessory used with a compatible iPhone, not an in-case battery.

mophie Juice Pack Access for iPhone 11
ZAGG says Juice Pack Access charges on mophie wireless bases and Qi-compatible bases. Its Priority+ pass-through behavior sends wireless power to the installed iPhone first; the case battery begins recharging after the phone. See ZAGG’s charging instructions. AT&T also lists a Juice Pack Access for iPhone 11 and describes wireless-pad compatibility.

This is a model-specific lead, not a universal recommendation: confirm the exact iPhone 11 size and variant, the case listing, and current availability before buying. The cited documentation does not establish that this case fits other iPhones or Android phones.
Do newer mophie Juice Packs recharge their case battery wirelessly?
The cited mophie product pages list newer battery cases, but their stated specifications do not by themselves establish Qi recharging of the case battery. mophie lists a 2,800 mAh internal battery and up to 6 feet of drop protection for its iPhone 16 Juice Pack, and a 3,600 mAh internal battery and up to 6 feet of drop protection for the iPhone 17e/16e Juice Pack. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent test results; neither cited listing confirms wireless recharge input for the case. Check the exact product’s charging-input specifications before treating either as a wireless-recharging case: iPhone 16 Juice Pack and iPhone 17e/16e Juice Pack.

mophie’s separate iPhone 17 and 16 battery-case page says the phone and case can be placed on a Qi pad so both charge through it. Confirm which exact model the information applies to and verify compatibility before purchase; customer testimonials on a product page are not independent performance tests.
How to choose a compatible case
- Match the phone exactly. Check generation, size, and variant against the case listing. A case for one iPhone generation or size should not be assumed to fit another.
- Confirm the case’s own charging input. Look for explicit wording that the battery case itself recharges on Qi or a Qi-compatible pad. “Wireless charging” can describe power going to the phone instead.
- Check charging order and wired options. Find out whether the case supports phone-first pass-through, whether it can charge by cable as well as Qi, and whether the phone and case can receive power simultaneously.
- Compare practical trade-offs. Check battery capacity and any stated extra runtime, added thickness and weight, drop protection, and access to the camera, buttons, and charging port. Treat capacities and protection figures as manufacturer specifications, not comparable real-world test results.
- Verify current listing details. Availability and price can change. Confirm the precise model fit and charging behavior on the seller or manufacturer page before ordering.
If you meant a battery pack that charges the phone wirelessly
A magnetic wireless power bank is a separate accessory: it attaches to or aligns with the phone and supplies power to the phone, rather than serving as a protective case with its own rechargeable battery. Samsung’s Magnet Wireless Battery Pack is listed in Canada with a typical 5,000 mAh capacity, Qi2 wireless charging up to 15 W, and wired charging up to 25 W. Samsung advises Galaxy users to use a Qi2-ready case. These are product specifications for that power bank, not a battery-case comparison. See Samsung’s product page.

Belkin explains that some phones need a Qi2-ready case for magnetic alignment with a wireless power bank. That is why “MagSafe-compatible case,” “Qi2 case,” and “wireless-charging battery case” are not interchangeable terms; see Belkin’s wireless power bank overview.

Apple describes Qi as an open charging standard created by the Wireless Power Consortium. For an iPhone that will not charge, or charges slowly, on a wireless charger, Apple advises removing a thick case, metal case, or battery case and trying again. Follow Apple’s wireless-charging guidance and the case maker’s placement instructions. If charging works after removing the case, the case may be interfering with wireless charging; that does not establish whether its own battery supports Qi input.
