The most reliable way to keep progressing in Last Asylum: Plague is to keep production buildings working, collect before their storage window fills, and treat Antitoxin as a separate resource for hero levels. Upgrade the Sanctuary when you need a higher hero-level cap, claim Antitoxin from workshops and available activities, and use scouting before making resource raids. No single activity is established as the best source for every account stage.
Know which resource solves which bottleneck
The game’s resource names vary by source: the App Store description refers to timber, herbs, and food, while a community reference calls the core resources wood, herbs, and grain. These supplies support sanctuary development; Antitoxin is used to level heroes. Gear workshops produce separate gear materials. The App Store listing describes gathering supplies, upgrading facilities, and recruiting and upgrading heroes, while the official game site gives the broader premise of treating survivors and leading heroes into ruined territory.
- Grain or food, wood or timber, and herbs: use these for development needs such as building and upgrades.
- Antitoxin: spend it on hero levels; it is not a substitute for ordinary building resources.
- Gear materials: obtain these through gear workshops for equipment progression, rather than expecting Antitoxin to cover gear costs.
Build a dependable resource-production loop
Keep production and capacity aligned
When progress stalls, identify the exact resource blocking the next useful building, research, or hero step. Bring the matching production building and storage forward enough to support that goal. A fan guide recommends avoiding Sanctuary upgrades so far ahead that production and capacity cannot sustain the next tier; treat that as a practical planning approach, not an official optimal build order. Collect before ordinary producers stop banking output
The community-maintained Last Asylum Wiki resource reference says ordinary Farms, Lumberyards, and Herb Gardens bank production for 3.5 hours at level 1 and up to 12 hours at level 30. Once the applicable window is reached, output stops accumulating until you collect. Collection timing therefore matters as much as the displayed hourly rate: if you cannot check in often, prioritize a schedule and capacity that fit your play pattern.

Use published production rates as a guide, not a promise
The same community reference, verified 31 August 2026 and last edited 5 September 2026, lists these level-30 rates and building caps. They are reference figures, not publisher-confirmed guarantees or firsthand measurements; check the live building panel because rates and caps can change.

Earn Antitoxin for hero levels
Use workshops for a baseline, then claim activity rewards
Antitoxin Workshop output provides a steady source, while the community resource reference also lists building-upgrade rewards, Falcon Quests, personal and plundered Covert Ops, caravans, Blight hunting, and events such as Cheese Trap. Rewards and efficiency can depend on account level and event state, so claim what is available rather than relying on a fixed payout assumption.

This is a community calculation, not an independently tested or publisher-guaranteed rate, and may change with balance updates.
Understand the Sanctuary level cap and Antitoxin risk
Your Sanctuary level sets the maximum hero level. When a hero cannot be raised further, check whether the Sanctuary is the limiting factor before spending time seeking more Antitoxin. The wiki also says Antitoxin has no storehouse and accumulated stock is exposed to raids, so it is better understood as spendable progression currency than protected warehouse inventory.
The reference distinguishes immediately credited Antitoxin from inventory items and Level Supplies that can be opened later. It suggests that delaying the opening of supplies until a higher Sanctuary level may increase their value, but item descriptions and caps can change; check the current in-game details before deciding to hold them. The sources do not establish a universally best hero to level first, so direct Antitoxin toward the hero or heroes that address your immediate progression goal.

Use plundering only as a measured supplement
Plundering can help bridge an ordinary-resource shortfall, but it is less predictable than your own production. A community guide recommends scouting before an attack, comparing visible resources with stamina and troop costs, and accounting for troop Load: Load affects how much a force can carry, while troop tiers and some technologies can raise carrying capacity. Treat that guidance as an estimate, not a guaranteed haul; game rules and server conditions may change, and attacks affect other players. See the community plundering guide.
Plan collection around events carefully
Players have asked whether they can leave producer output uncollected until a later Alliance Duel build day. A player discussion is not proof that delayed collection is possible, safe, or beneficial for current scoring. If event timing matters, check the live event objective and claim rules in-game before changing your collection routine; ordinary producers can stop banking when their accumulation window expires.
