Why Vimeo may not work with a VPN
A VPN is only one possible cause of a playback or access problem. For an unsupported viewing environment, check whether your browser is current and supports the required codecs. Record the exact error, the affected video, your browser, and your operating system; that information helps distinguish a video-specific restriction from a broader connection problem.
Steps to diagnose a Vimeo problem
- Pause the VPN and retry the same Vimeo page. If it works without the VPN, the VPN connection or its exit address may be involved. If it still fails, investigate the video, browser, device, or network instead. NordVPN likewise recommends checking access without its VPN before reconnecting or trying another server.
