Choose between them based on your market, preferred Android ecosystem, outer-screen size, weight and camera priorities—not megapixel counts or battery-capacity claims alone. The X Fold6 was announced for China, so buyers elsewhere should first verify local availability, warranty and network compatibility.

What the vivo X Fold6 offers
vivo announced the X Fold6 in China on June 26, 2026, with sales stated to begin July 1. Its China product page lists four configurations: CNY 7,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage; CNY 8,999 for 12GB/512GB; CNY 9,999 for 16GB/512GB; and CNY 10,999 for 16GB/1TB. The inner AMOLED display is 8.02 inches and the outer display is 6.51 inches; both are specified for up to 120Hz. Unfolded dimensions are 157.16mm high by 145.66mm wide, and folded width is 74.26mm. Folded thickness varies by color from 9.4mm to 9.9mm, while listed weight is 228g or 235g depending on color.

For imaging, vivo lists a 200MP main, 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide rear camera, plus 20MP front cameras on both screens. Its launch announcement also promotes a Vivo V3+ imaging chip and an optional equivalent-200mm vivo ZEISS extender accessory. Those descriptions are manufacturer claims; they do not substitute for independent image-quality tests.
vivo states a typical dual-cell capacity equivalent to 7,000mAh and a rated equivalent capacity of 6,760mAh. The phone supports up to 80W wired and 40W wireless charging, and the package is specified to include a 100W charger. The 100W figure describes the included charger, not the phone’s maximum supported input. Capacity and charging figures are specifications, not measured battery life or charging times.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7: the weight-focused alternative
Samsung lists the Galaxy Z Fold7 at 215g, lighter than vivo’s listed 228g or 235g X Fold6 weights. Samsung specifies an 8.0-inch 120Hz main display and a 6.5-inch 120Hz cover display, with a 200MP wide, 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto rear camera system. The Samsung and vivo screens are close in stated diagonal size, but diagonal measurements do not describe aspect ratio, usable layout or one-handed typing comfort. Likewise, the shared 200MP main-camera figure does not establish equal image quality: sensor, optics, processing and real-world performance matter too. Choose Samsung when its lower listed weight or your existing Samsung services and devices are more compelling than vivo’s hardware claims; try the cover screens in person if typing comfort is decisive.
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: the Google ecosystem alternative
Google’s US Store lists an 8-inch inner folding display, a 6.4-inch cover display and a weight of 9.1oz (about 258g). It specifies Tensor G5, 16GB RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The listed US starting price is US$1,799. These are US Store details; they should not be treated as local prices elsewhere or converted into a direct value ranking against vivo’s China prices. Google lists a typical 5,015mAh battery. It says charging can reach up to 50% in about 30 minutes using a 30W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately, and specifies Qi2-certified Pixelsnap wireless charging up to 15W. These are Google’s stated charging conditions, not a like-for-like battery test against vivo. The Pixel is a natural candidate for buyers who prefer Google’s phone ecosystem, but compare local support, storage pricing and charger needs before deciding.

The available product information does not establish sales eligibility, warranty coverage, repair access or carrier compatibility for an unspecified country. All three have inner screens around eight inches, but their cover displays are listed at 6.51 inches for vivo, 6.5 inches for Samsung and 6.4 inches for Google. Listed weights are 228–235g for vivo depending on color, 215g for Samsung and 9.1oz for Google. These figures come from the manufacturers and are not a comfort ranking; screen proportions and how a folded phone sits in your hand can matter more than small diagonal differences.
Match camera hardware to your priorities
vivo and Samsung both list a 200MP main camera, but their other rear cameras differ: vivo specifies 50MP telephoto and ultrawide cameras, while Samsung lists 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide cameras. Pixel camera hardware is not detailed in the cited Google material, so a full hardware comparison is not established here. Megapixel counts alone cannot rank image quality; use independent camera comparisons if that is your deciding factor.

Do not infer battery life from capacity figures
vivo’s stated 7,000mAh typical equivalent capacity and Google’s 5,015mAh typical capacity use manufacturer specifications, while the cited Samsung information does not provide a comparable battery figure. Different devices and test conditions prevent a reliable runtime conclusion from these numbers. No comparable battery-life result is established here.
Compare like-for-like local prices and storage
vivo lists China prices from CNY 7,999 for 12GB/256GB to CNY 10,999 for 16GB/1TB. Google lists a US starting price of US$1,799, with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The cited information does not establish a current, same-market Samsung price. Compare the same storage tier and current local retail offers; currency conversion alone does not account for regional pricing, taxes, warranty or availability.

The X Fold6 runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 Fold according to vivo’s China specifications, and vivo promotes foldable multitasking features. Samsung and Google may suit buyers already using their services and devices. The cited materials do not establish a like-for-like software support-period comparison or independently verify multitasking workflows, so check the current regional support terms and try the features you expect to use.
