There is no single universal “Titan price,” so the best alternative depends on what you need beyond a mailbox. Titan Email is sold through hosting and domain partners, and each partner sets its own plans, billing terms and promotions. Obtain the actual Titan quote first, then compare it with Google Workspace for collaboration, Microsoft 365 for Outlook and Exchange, Zoho Mail for a cost-conscious mail-only deployment, Proton Mail for Business for privacy, Fastmail for focused hosted email, and Migadu for many domains and addresses.
For a team that needs documents, meetings and shared storage as well as email, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 usually delivers the clearest value. If you only need custom-domain mailboxes, Zoho Mail, Proton Mail Essentials or Fastmail can avoid paying for a larger office suite. Agencies and operators managing many domains should examine Migadu’s per-account pricing rather than a per-mailbox quote.
What to compare before replacing Titan Email
Titan’s price and feature set cannot be treated as a single global plan. Titan states that it is available through trusted partners and is not sold directly by Titan. The partner, country, currency, contract term and promotion can all change the quote. Ask the provider selling Titan to identify the exact mailbox limits, storage, aliases, domains, migration service, support channel, renewal price and cancellation terms.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Then compare alternatives on the cost of active mailboxes, not merely the headline monthly number. A service priced per user can become expensive when you add shared addresses, seasonal staff or multiple domains. Conversely, a suite that includes cloud storage, documents, video meetings and chat may cost less overall than buying those tools separately.
#1 Best Overall
| Provider | Best fit | Published price or pricing model | Storage and domain facts | Suite depth | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Titan Email | Customers whose hosting or domain provider already bundles it | Set independently by each partner; no universal Titan price | Confirm mailbox, alias and domain limits with the selling partner | Primarily hosted business email; partner bundle determines extras | Compare the specific partner quote, renewal and support terms |
| Google Workspace | Teams using Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar and Meet | Business Starter: $7/user/month after the introductory period; Business Standard: $14/user/month | Starter includes 30 GB pooled storage; Standard includes 2 TB | Email plus storage, documents, calendar, meetings and collaboration; Standard adds custom layouts, mail merge, appointment booking and broader Gemini access | Promotional pricing is temporary; budget using the standard rate |
| Microsoft 365 Business Basic | Organizations standardized on Outlook, Exchange and Microsoft 365 | $7/user/month when paid yearly | Custom-domain email; mailbox and alias limits depend on the Microsoft plan configuration | Exchange, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint services and filtering | The quoted price is for annual commitment |
| Zoho Mail | Mailbox-focused teams watching per-user cost | Mail Lite price varies by selected tier; verify the current quote | 5 GB or 10 GB mail storage per user, depending on tier; custom-domain mail | Primarily email administration, with migration tooling | Zoho lists a 99.9% uptime guarantee in its comparison; confirm the plan’s exact terms |
| Proton Mail for Business | Businesses prioritizing privacy and encryption | Mail Essentials: $6.99/user/month; Workspace Standard: $12.99/user/month; Workspace Premium: $19.99/user/month | Essentials: 15 GB and three custom domains; Standard: 1 TB and 15 domains; Premium: 3 TB and 20 domains | Encrypted mail and calendar; Workspace tiers add storage and collaboration | Prices and allowances are the published figures for 2026; check billing terms before ordering |
| Fastmail | Teams wanting focused hosted email rather than an office suite | Current business price was not stated in the available provider material | Custom-domain addresses; exact domain and alias limits require a live quote | Email, calendar and integrations | Verify current price, storage and administrator controls directly |
| Migadu | Agencies or operators hosting many domains and addresses | Flat price per Migadu account, not per mailbox | Unlimited mailboxes and addresses within plan quotas; as many domains as the plan allows within those quotas | Focused email hosting | Exact quotas and overage rules vary by plan and must be checked |
“Unlimited” in Migadu’s description does not mean unlimited sending, storage or traffic. It means the account can contain unlimited mailboxes and addresses while staying inside the selected plan’s quotas. That distinction matters when you estimate usage.
Google Workspace: the collaboration-heavy Titan alternative
Choose Google Workspace when email is one part of a Google-based work system. Business Starter is listed at $7 per user per month after its introductory period and includes secure custom business email with 30 GB of pooled storage. Business Standard is listed at $14 per user per month and raises storage to 2 TB. Use those standard prices for a long-term budget rather than a temporary introductory offer.
The pooled-storage model lets users draw from an organization-wide allocation instead of receiving an isolated disk quota for every mailbox. Confirm how the allocation is administered before migrating large archives. Google’s broader environment includes Drive, Docs, Calendar and Meet, so a team already using those applications avoids running a second identity and sharing system.
When Starter is enough
Starter suits small teams that need branded addresses, ordinary document storage and basic collaboration. It is less attractive if every user stores large mail archives or media, because the 30 GB pooled allowance can be consumed quickly across the organization.
When Standard justifies its cost
Standard’s 2 TB storage allocation and additional features—custom layouts, mail merge, appointment booking and broader Gemini access—matter to teams that market, schedule appointments or share substantial files. Do not pay for Standard solely for a larger mailbox if the team does not use those capabilities.
Migration considerations
Google lists migration tooling. Inventory mailboxes, aliases, groups, calendars and contacts first, then map each source identity to a Google account or group. Test mobile clients and SMTP-based applications after the cutover; a successful mailbox import does not automatically reconfigure scanners, websites or transactional systems.
Microsoft 365 Business Basic: Outlook, Exchange and Teams in one subscription
Microsoft lists Business Basic at $7 per user per month when paid yearly. The plan combines branded custom-domain email through Exchange with Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint services, plus automatic spam and malware filtering. It is the natural fit for organizations whose staff already work in Outlook or whose files and meetings are organized around Microsoft 365.

Annual payment lowers the quoted monthly rate but creates a commitment. Compare the full annual invoice with Titan’s renewal terms, not only a first-month figure. Ask whether your reseller’s quote includes taxes, migration assistance, telephone support or additional security features.
Who should choose Business Basic
Choose it when shared calendars, Outlook desktop or web access, Teams meetings and OneDrive/SharePoint collaboration are requirements. A mail-only company may not use enough of those services to justify a suite; in that case compare Zoho Mail, Proton Mail Essentials or Fastmail on mailbox cost and administration.
Exchange-specific checks
List every shared mailbox, distribution group, room calendar and application account before moving. Confirm that your intended design fits the selected license and that external sending systems authenticate correctly. Preserve existing SPF, DKIM and DMARC records during DNS changes, then validate message authentication from several receiving networks.
Zoho Mail: a cost-conscious mailbox deployment
Zoho Mail is aimed at organizations that want enterprise-grade custom email without adopting a full office suite. Its Mail Lite offering provides either 5 GB or 10 GB of mail storage per user, depending on the tier. Zoho also lists migration tooling and a 99.9% uptime guarantee in its comparison. Verify whether the guarantee applies to the exact edition and what service credits or exclusions apply.
Why Mail Lite can cost less
If your staff already have separate document, chat and meeting tools, paying only for mail avoids duplicating those services. The 5 GB tier can work for lightweight correspondence; users with years of attachments may need the 10 GB tier or an archive policy.
Migration and administration
Use Zoho’s migration tooling to stage users and import historical messages. Before scheduling the final transfer, inventory aliases, catch-all addresses, forwarding rules, calendars, contacts and SMTP credentials. Test every role address—such as sales or support—because a mailbox migration can preserve messages while leaving routing rules behind.
Proton Mail for Business: privacy-led hosting
Proton is the strongest choice here when privacy and encryption are primary buying criteria. Proton says, “Unlike Google, Microsoft, and others, we use end-to-end encryption to prevent hackers or anyone else (including us) from accessing your data on our servers.” Understand what that protects: encrypted storage and mail features do not remove the need to secure endpoints, account recovery methods or messages sent to recipients outside the encrypted system.
Rank #3
Mail Essentials
Mail Essentials is listed at $6.99 per user per month and includes 15 GB of storage, three custom domains, secure mail and calendar, and migration support. That combination fits a small organization that needs more storage than a basic mail tier and wants a defined domain allowance without buying a full collaboration suite.

Workspace Standard is listed at $12.99 per user per month with 1 TB of storage and 15 custom domains. Workspace Premium is listed at $19.99 per user per month with 3 TB and 20 domains. Select a tier by the number of domains and storage the business actually requires; the higher tiers are not automatically better for a small, single-domain team.
Privacy trade-offs to evaluate
Encryption can limit some server-side search, delegation or third-party integration patterns compared with conventional hosted mail. Test shared addresses, mobile apps, archiving, legal retention and SMTP integrations with a pilot account before committing. Proton lists migration support, but your own timeline depends on mailbox size, source access and DNS propagation.
Fastmail: focused hosted email without a broad office suite
Fastmail is a sensible shortlist item when you want custom-domain addresses, calendar and integrations but do not need bundled documents, spreadsheets, video meetings or team chat. Its business information highlights multi-data-center backup, spam and phishing protection, two-factor authentication, calendar and integrations.
The available provider material did not state a current business price. Do not infer one from an older article or a personal plan. Request a live quote that specifies the number of users, storage, aliases, domains, retention, administrator roles and support response. Compare that complete figure with Titan’s partner quote and with the per-user prices of Google, Microsoft, Zoho and Proton.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

- You want a focused mail and calendar service and already have separate collaboration tools.
- You value multi-data-center backup and phishing protection but do not need a large office suite.
- You want to reduce dependence on a single productivity ecosystem.
Checks before signing
Confirm how shared mailboxes, delegated access, catch-all addresses, aliases and multiple domains are counted. Verify migration support for your source platform and test every integration that sends through SMTP or an API.
Migadu: per-account economics for many domains
Migadu’s pricing model is fundamentally different from a per-user service. Its pricing FAQ states: “The plan prices are flat, per Migadu account. An account may have unlimited mailboxes and addresses.” It also says users can have as many domains as they want while remaining within plan quotas.
This can be economical for an agency, holding company or operator that manages many small domains and addresses. A single account can contain named mailboxes, role addresses and aliases without multiplying a mailbox charge for every address. You still need to stay within the plan’s storage, sending, recipient or other quotas; obtain the current quota table before calculating savings.
Model the real cost
Count active people separately from role addresses. For example, ten staff members plus dozens of addresses such as billing, support and regional aliases may fit a per-account model better than a per-mailbox model. If each person needs substantial storage or high-volume sending, a per-user service with predictable allowances may be easier to govern.

Document which domains belong to the account, who can administer them and how recovery works. Use separate identities or least-privilege roles where available, and monitor quota consumption so a busy campaign or attachment surge does not interrupt every domain in the account.
Which alternative is cheaper than Titan for a custom domain?
There is no honest universal winner because Titan’s partner quote is not standardized and the alternatives meter usage differently. Use this calculation:
- Write down the number of human users who need independent logins.
- List shared addresses, aliases, catch-all addresses and application accounts separately.
- Record every domain and the storage required for current mail plus retained history.
- Add suite services you would otherwise purchase: file storage, documents, meetings, chat, calendar and device management.
- Compare the first-year total and the renewal total, including annual commitments, taxes, migration fees and support.
A low per-user number can be expensive when every alias requires a paid seat. A higher per-user number can be cheaper overall when it replaces separate storage and meeting subscriptions. Migadu is the notable exception in this group because the account, rather than each mailbox, is the pricing unit.
Choosing by business scenario
| Your situation | Most suitable shortlist | Why | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Already standardized on Google applications | Google Workspace | One identity spans Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar and Meet | Storage usage, migration mapping and standard renewal price |
| Already standardized on Outlook or Exchange | Microsoft 365 Business Basic | Exchange, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive/SharePoint are integrated | Annual commitment, shared-mailbox design and application authentication |
| Only hosted mail is required | Zoho Mail, Fastmail or Proton Mail Essentials | Avoids paying for an unused office suite | Storage, aliases, domains, migration and support response |
| Privacy and encrypted storage dominate | Proton Mail for Business | Encryption is the central product distinction | External-recipient workflow, integrations and retention requirements |
| Many small domains and role addresses | Migadu | Flat per-account pricing with unlimited mailboxes and addresses within quotas | Quotas, sending limits, administration and recovery |
| Titan is bundled with your existing host | Compare Titan’s exact partner quote first | Bundling may outweigh a nominally cheaper standalone service | Renewal, support, migration and what happens if you change hosts |
Migration plan: move without losing mail or domain reputation
Email migration is a DNS and identity project, not just an export-and-import exercise. Use a staged cutover.
- Inventory the source. Export a list of mailboxes, aliases, groups, catch-all addresses, forwarding rules, calendars, contacts, mobile devices, desktop clients and SMTP/API integrations. Mark dormant accounts and decide whether each becomes an archive, alias or new mailbox.
- Confirm the destination design. Create users, role addresses, domain records and administrator accounts in the new service. Match display names and reply addresses so customers recognize messages after the change.
- Lower DNS TTL. Reduce the time-to-live for MX and related records before the cutover. A lower TTL helps resolvers notice the change sooner, but it cannot force already cached records to expire instantly.
- Preserve authentication records. Document current SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. Replace or combine them according to the destination provider’s instructions; do not publish multiple competing SPF records. Generate and test new DKIM keys before switching outbound traffic.
- Run a staged migration. Import a small set of representative mailboxes first, including large archives, aliases and users with mobile clients. Check folders, dates, attachments, contacts, calendars and search results.
- Freeze and perform the final sync. Announce a short change window, pause changes on the old system if the provider requires it, and run the final delta import. Keep the old service active so messages arriving during DNS propagation remain accessible.
- Change MX and verify delivery. Publish the destination MX records, then send test messages from and to several external providers. Check SPF, DKIM and DMARC results in the received headers, not merely the provider’s dashboard.
- Reconfigure applications and devices. Update website forms, scanners, CRM connectors, desktop clients and phones. Use the destination’s documented SMTP or API settings and least-privilege credentials.
- Monitor before retiring the source. Watch bounce reports, quarantine, forwarding and catch-all behavior. Keep the old service available until every mailbox and integration has passed acceptance tests, then export a final archive and cancel it.
Google Workspace, Zoho Mail and Proton Mail list migration tooling, but no provider page establishes a universal migration duration or deliverability guarantee. Your schedule depends on source access, mailbox size, throttling, DNS caching and the number of applications that send mail.
Security and administration checklist
- Require multi-factor authentication for administrators and, where practical, every user.
- Use separate admin identities instead of making a daily mailbox a global administrator.
- Publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC correctly and review DMARC reports after the cutover.
- Set recovery methods, offboarding steps and an emergency contact before the first user is migrated.
- Define retention, legal hold, export and deletion rules in writing.
- Audit forwarding rules and OAuth/API connections; these are common paths for silent data exfiltration.
- Test aliases, groups and shared addresses from both internal and external senders.
- Document support escalation, service-status monitoring and the process for restoring a suspended account.
Common pitfalls and fixes
Comparing a promotion with a renewal
Introductory prices can make a service appear cheaper than Titan for the first few months. Put the standard renewal price and contract term in the same spreadsheet as the promotional figure.
Counting aliases as users
Some providers include aliases in a mailbox price; others meter users, domains or account quotas differently. Ask for a written example covering one person with several aliases, a shared support address and an application account.
Forgetting non-mail data
Messages may migrate while calendars, contacts, files and meeting history remain behind. Treat each data type as a separate acceptance test.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed

Breaking SPF during the switch
Publishing two SPF records causes a permanent SPF error. Combine authorized senders into one record, then send test messages and inspect authentication headers.
Retiring Titan too soon
Because DNS caches expire at different times, some senders may continue delivering to the old MX record after the change. Keep the old service active until delivery is consistently reaching the destination and all application traffic has been updated.
Bottom-line decision
Start by obtaining the exact Titan partner quote, including renewal and support terms. Choose Google Workspace if collaboration in Google’s apps is central; choose Microsoft 365 Business Basic for an Outlook and Exchange-centered organization. Choose Zoho Mail when you need economical custom-domain mailboxes, Proton Mail for Business when privacy and encryption outweigh suite breadth, Fastmail when focused hosted email is preferable and you can validate its current quote, and Migadu when many domains and addresses make per-mailbox pricing unattractive.
