In EA Sports FC 27, Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland lead the men’s striker ratings at 91 OVR. Harry Kane and Ousmane Dembélé are rated 90 OVR; the official position list also includes women’s strikers Khadija Shaw at 90 and Ewa Pajor at 89. The best pick depends on whether you want pace, shooting, physicality, or a more technical profile—and on whether you’re choosing an Ultimate Team item or a Career Mode signing.

EA’s striker ratings are useful for comparing player items, but the displayed order is not a simple overall-rating ranking: EA says it considers OVR and subjective factors based on real-life performance. The ratings below are the more direct comparison. Attribute values are EA game ratings, not real-world performance statistics.

Choose Mbappé for pace and dribbling
Mbappé combines the highest OVR in this group with 96 PAC and 92 DRI. On the listed attributes, he is the clearest fit if speed and close control are your priorities, while his 91 SHO remains strong. These ratings alone do not establish how he performs in a particular formation or match situation.

Choose Haaland for shooting and physicality
Haaland’s 92 SHO and 89 PHY make him the strongest listed combination of shooting and physicality among these leaders. His 87 PAC is lower than Mbappé’s, while his 80 DRI and 71 PAS are lower than the corresponding figures for Kane or Dembélé.
Choose Kane for shooting and passing
Kane has the highest SHO rating in this comparison at 94, along with 83 PAS. His 62 PAC is far below the other featured players, so his profile emphasizes shooting and passing rather than speed.

Choose Dembélé for dribbling and passing
Dembélé’s 93 DRI is the highest in the table, and his 83 PAS matches Kane’s. His 90 PAC and 89 SHO round out a balanced technical profile in the displayed attributes.

The official striker ratings include women’s players rather than limiting the position list to men. Shaw is rated 90 OVR, with 90 SHO and 88 PHY; Pajor is 89 OVR, with 93 PAC, 91 SHO, and 89 DRI. These figures make them notable options within the listed ratings.

What the official FC 27 striker list covers
EA’s position page reflects launch Gold, Silver, and Bronze Player Items available in Ultimate Team ’27. It does not cover every item type: Heroes, Icons, Campaign Player Items, and items released later are excluded. The page also does not represent live-form updates available in other modes. Check the player’s current item and rating in your game if you are comparing a special card or an updated version. Club affiliations can also change after real-world transfers.
EA’s broader FC 27 player ratings hub includes additional categories and PlayStyles. Relevant labels include Low Driven Shot+, Precision Header+, Acrobatic+, Finesse Shot+, Chip Shot+, and Power Shot+. Treat these as extra filters when comparing items, not proof on their own that a player will be effective in a specific tactic. The hub identifies Dembélé among the best dribblers at 93 DRI and Haaland among the most physical players at 89 PHY.

How to shortlist strikers for Career Mode
In Career Mode, current OVR is only one part of a signing decision. Your budget, wage room, preferred age, development timeline, and need for immediate quality all affect which player makes sense. A high-rated star is not automatically the best signing if the cost or growth profile does not fit your save.

Decide your transfer budget, available wage room, acceptable age range, and whether you need a starter now or a player to develop.
- Compare current rating with potential and growth margin. A higher potential can matter more over a longer save, while immediate OVR may be more important if you need short-term impact.
- Review age and cost estimates together. Compare estimated market value and wages with your club’s finances, and check the contract horizon where available.
- Check the attributes for your preferred profile. Use pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, and physicality to narrow the list after assessing the Career Mode constraints.
- Verify the player in your save. Database figures are useful for shortlisting, but actual negotiation outcomes and in-game performance are not established by a database listing.
FAFIFA’s FC 27 striker database, shown as updated on 20 August 2026 (update 1), provides potential, growth margin, age, attributes, estimated market value, wage, and contract end. It offers sorting by rating, potential, margin, youngest, and cheapest. Its figures are database estimates, not guaranteed transfer fees or wages in your save.

These examples show why a Career Mode shortlist can include players below the top OVR tier. Compare their age, growth margin, and estimated cost fields in the database before deciding whether a prospect suits your save.
