The best verified case match for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is Samsung’s own Silicone Magnet Case, but Samsung’s US store showed it unavailable for delivery and pickup when checked on October 4, 2026. OtterBox has announced a more protective, hinge-covering Defender Series Pro XT, but its Fold8 Ultra collection showed no products at that time. Neither option has independent comparative test results here, so the right choice depends on which features matter to you—not a tested “best” ranking.
Which Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra cases are confirmed?
Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra on August 6, 2026, confirming that it is a released device rather than a rumored model. Its large foldable design makes an exact model match especially important: a case for another Fold generation may not fit correctly.
The official sources reviewed identify two model-specific options: Samsung’s Silicone Magnet Case and OtterBox’s announced Defender Series Pro XT. Their prices and availability are different kinds of evidence: Samsung’s price was a US store listing checked October 4, 2026, while OtterBox’s price is launch MSRP from July 22, 2026.
| Case | What the manufacturer says | Price and availability evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Silicone Magnet Case, Graphite (EF-EF976CBEGUS) | Samsung’s official listing confirms a case made for the exact phone. The accessed product details did not establish a drop rating or comparative durability. | Samsung US listed $89.99. Delivery and in-store pickup were marked unavailable when checked October 4, 2026; inventory can change. |
| OtterBox Defender Series Pro XT | OtterBox describes articulated hinge coverage, integrated magnets, an optional holster that doubles as a stand, and a manufacturer-stated “4X tested to military drop standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6).” OtterBox also says the case is not protective against water. | OtterBox announced $89.99 MSRP on July 22, 2026. Its Fold8 Ultra collection showed “No products found” when checked October 4, 2026, so current stock and price were not confirmed. |
Best choice by priority
Choose Samsung’s case for the clearest official model match
Samsung’s Silicone Magnet Case is the strongest verified official accessory match because its product page names the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra specifically. At the October 4, 2026 check, however, the US page did not offer delivery or in-store pickup. Recheck the listing before buying, and do not assume the listed price or stock status remains unchanged.

Consider OtterBox for articulated hinge coverage
The Defender Series Pro XT is the more feature-focused announced option if hinge coverage, a grip surface, or a holster/stand matters. OtterBox says the hinge articulates with the phone, protects vulnerable areas, and lies flat when the device is open. These are manufacturer-described features, not findings from independent testing.
OtterBox says integrated magnets enable up to 15W fast wireless charging. Treat that as the company’s compatibility claim, not as a result independently verified here. The holster is optional, and the announcement does not establish its current availability. OtterBox explicitly states that the case is not protective against water.

Wait or compare more options if you need proven protection
The available evidence does not establish a tested winner or support a claim that either case is more durable in everyday use. OtterBox’s “4X tested” wording is its own stated test claim; it is not an independent comparative drop test. If documented protection is your deciding factor, check the current product listing for the exact fit and full claim details before purchasing.
What to check before buying a Fold8 Ultra case
- Exact fit: Confirm the listing explicitly says Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, not simply Galaxy Z Fold or another generation.
- Hinge design: Decide whether you want a case that covers the hinge; the OtterBox announcement describes an articulated hinge cover.
- Charging: If magnetic wireless charging matters, verify the current listing’s compatibility details. OtterBox’s up-to-15W statement is a manufacturer claim.
- Bulk and grip: Foldable cases with added hinge coverage or a holster may suit different handling preferences than a simpler case. Compare the actual product dimensions and design when current listings are available.
- Water exposure: Do not treat the OtterBox Defender Series Pro XT as water resistant; its maker says it is not protective against water.
- Live stock and price: Availability was limited or unclear on the official pages checked October 4, 2026. Confirm both before ordering.
Bottom line on Fold8 Ultra cases
For an exact, officially listed fit, Samsung’s Silicone Magnet Case is the clearest confirmed option, subject to renewed stock checking. For announced hinge coverage and a holster/stand option, OtterBox’s Defender Series Pro XT may suit your priorities if it becomes available. Neither should be called the tested best: the reviewed sources provide manufacturer listings and claims, not independent case comparisons.
