If you want more Star Wars podracing, start with STAR WARS Episode I: Racer. If the appeal is high-speed arcade action, try Burnout Paradise Remastered; if you want futuristic anti-gravity craft and vehicle customization, choose Redout 2. They match different parts of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, rather than sharing its setting or format.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer was announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with an October 6, 2026 worldwide release date. That date has passed, so check your regional store for current availability. Lucasfilm Games executive producer Craig Derrick described the goal as “a racing experience that’s cinematic, skill-driven, and unmistakably Star Wars.” Lucasfilm’s gameplay announcement provides the comparison point for the picks below.

For Star Wars vehicles and podracing: STAR WARS Episode I: Racer
Episode I: Racer is the most direct choice if you want to stay in the Star Wars universe. StarWars.com describes it as based on the podracing sequence in The Phantom Menace, with players controlling podracers. Aspyr has a publisher page, and the game also has a Steam listing.

Choose it for the franchise and vehicle fantasy, not because it is established as a match for Galactic Racer’s newer runs-based structure. The cited pages do not establish that the games share modes or progression. Store listings and physical editions can vary by region, so confirm the platform, edition, and format before buying.
For arcade speed, stunts, and crashes: Burnout Paradise Remastered
If what you want is forceful arcade racing rather than a space setting, Burnout Paradise Remastered is the better fit. EA describes the game in terms of stunts, high-octane racing, and destruction. Its open-world driving makes it a different structural experience from a runs-based racing adventure.

Pick it for the road-car action and crashes; it is not a Star Wars game, an anti-gravity racer, or a match for Galactic Racer’s format.

Redout 2 is the option for futuristic craft racing. Its official page presents it as a tribute to classic arcade racing and highlights anti-gravity hoverships and vehicle customization. That makes it a sensible choice if speed, futuristic vehicles, and tuning matter more to you than a Star Wars setting.
