For a modern-console starting point, choose Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha if you want the Strikers trilogy and a varied six-game lineup, or Psikyo Shooting Stars Bravo if Gunbird and the Samurai Aces games are your priority. Both are listed by Nintendo as digital Switch collections with local play for up to two people. On PC, check the exact Steam listing and region: older Psikyo releases were reported removed from sale in 2025, and a later Strikers 1945 listing should not be assumed to be the same product.
Which Psikyo games are on Switch?
Nintendo’s US store lists two digital Switch collections, Alpha and Bravo. Each contains six games, supports TV, tabletop, and handheld modes, and allows one or two players on one system. Nintendo also says both behave consistently on Switch 2. Those details describe the listed US editions; check your regional store for local availability and terms.

Which Psikyo shoot-’em-up should I play first?
Start with Strikers 1945 for a classic vertical shooter
City Connection’s 2020 announcement describes Strikers 1945 as a vertical-scrolling shooter first released in arcades in 1995. For the Steam version covered by that announcement, it lists six aircraft with different characteristics, seven selectable Arcade-mode difficulty levels, screen orientation choices, configurable controls, continues, score attack, and online rankings. Pick by series if you already have a favorite
- Choose Alpha if the Strikers trilogy is your main draw; its other games are Sol Divide, Dragon Blaze, and Zero Gunner 2.
- Choose Bravo if you want Gunbird and Gunbird 2 alongside the three Samurai Aces entries and Gunbarich.
- If neither series is familiar, use the complete lineup in the table to decide which six-game sampler better matches your interests.
The available product listings establish the collections’ contents, not which has better technical performance or review consensus.

Can I play Psikyo games on PC?
The official Psikyo Portal catalog links Steam listings for a broader set of games, but a catalog entry does not prove that a title is currently for sale in every region. City Connection’s April 2020 announcement documents an earlier Strikers 1945 Steam version; it does not establish the current status of that listing.
A secondary report in October 2025 said 12 older Psikyo titles were removed from Steam sale following a license expiry. Separately, search results surfaced a Strikers 1945 Steam product with a 2025 release date. Since these may be distinct products, do not assume a newer listing is the same edition as the earlier release—or that a catalog link means either is currently purchasable. Are the Psikyo collections available physically?
The official Psikyo Portal lists package editions of Psikyo Shooting Library Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 for PS4, with 2022 release dates, as well as earlier Switch package editions. These listings are a possible route for collectors seeking boxed copies, but they do not establish current stock or what a particular seller’s copy includes. Confirm platform, region, language, and exact contents before buying. By contrast, the cited Nintendo US Alpha and Bravo listings identify digital editions, not physical copies.
