There is no evidence-based single “best” PS5 wheel for Gran Turismo 7 in the available official product information: it does not provide independent tests, comparable current prices, or a measured performance ranking. It does identify five candidates worth comparing—Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro, Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition and T248, and Logitech G923 and G29—and describes their different feedback systems and features. Use those details as a shortlist, then verify the exact PlayStation version, bundle, mounting fit, and current total cost before buying.
Which racing wheels are on the shortlist for GT7?
PlayStation’s licensed-wheel guide identifies several wheel models for PlayStation. Its game page identifies Gran Turismo 7 as available for PS4 and PS5. The guide’s descriptions are useful for comparing stated features, but they are not independent measurements of feel, performance, or durability.
| Model | Feedback approach or stated feature | What the official information establishes | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro | Direct Drive | PlayStation describes a bundle with wheel, base, pedals, and desk clamp; maximum torque is listed as 5 Nm, with an optional separately sold boost kit to 8 Nm. It also describes four directional sticks for Gran Turismo use. | Current regional bundle contents, boost-kit availability and cost, and mounting compatibility. |
| Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition | Dual-belt force feedback and brushless motor | PlayStation describes its system as fast, powerful, and smooth. Those are product descriptions, not comparative test findings. | Current package contents and fit with the intended desk, stand, or cockpit. |
| Thrustmaster T248 | Hybrid force feedback | PlayStation says it is licensed for PS5 and PS4 and has three adjustable feedback modes. | Current package contents, mounting fit, and which settings suit the intended setup. |
| Logitech G923 | TRUEFORCE | PlayStation describes on-wheel controls, a programmable dual-clutch launch feature, and progressive brake resistance. | Exact regional PlayStation variant and whether GT7 supports the features you expect. |
| Logitech G29 | Driving Force feedback | PlayStation describes a pressure-sensitive nonlinear brake pedal and 900-degree rotation. PlayStation Direct lists the G29 in its US racing-wheel category. | Exact regional PlayStation version, game-feature support, current listing, and mounting fit. |
PlayStation also describes the Thrustmaster T-GT II as PS5- and Gran Turismo-licensed, but the GT-specific description refers to Gran Turismo Sport. That alone does not establish GT7 compatibility, so check the manufacturer’s current support information before treating it as a GT7 option.

Direct Drive, dual-belt, hybrid force feedback, and TRUEFORCE are distinct product descriptions—not a common test scale. The official information does not establish that one system is stronger, smoother, more realistic, or better suited to every player. A meaningful choice depends on the features you want and the setup you can accommodate.

- Use the HORI Device Manager app to download firmware, adjust settings and make up to 4 custom profiles
- Direct Drive: The DD Pro is the direct-drive option in this shortlist. PlayStation lists maximum torque at 5 Nm, or up to 8 Nm with an optional boost kit sold separately. Check the kit’s current regional availability and include it in the total cost if you need it.
- Dual-belt: The T300RS GT Edition is described as using a dual-belt system and brushless motor. The source does not provide comparative measurements or a durability guarantee.
- Hybrid feedback: The T248’s three adjustable hybrid feedback modes are a concrete adjustment feature to compare if changing feedback behavior matters to you.
- TRUEFORCE and Driving Force: Logitech uses different feedback labels for the G923 and G29. The available information does not establish how either implementation performs in GT7 relative to the other wheels.
What is included—and what might cost extra?
Do not assume that similarly named wheel products arrive with the same hardware. The DD Pro’s PlayStation-described bundle includes the wheel, base, pedals, and desk clamp. For the other models, the information here does not establish a complete, current list of included mounting hardware or accessories; check the exact retailer or manufacturer listing for your region.
Price the setup you will actually use, not just the wheel. Check whether the package includes the pedals and clamp you need, and add the cost of any separately sold accessories or mounting equipment. For the DD Pro, the boost kit is an optional add-on, not part of the listed standard bundle. A Logitech Driving Force Shifter is an optional accessory surfaced in PlayStation’s G29 product information; verify the exact compatible combination before purchasing it.

- PREMIUM BUILT: Look, feel and durability of a real race car wheel, pedals and shifter. Wheel cover, knob and boot are covered in high-quality, hand-stitched leather with a solid steel gear shaft and polished metal pedals
Will the wheel fit your desk, stand, or cockpit?
A wheel that is supported by the console can still be a poor fit for your room or rig. Before ordering, compare the product’s mounting requirements with the surface or stand you plan to use. The DD Pro bundle is described as including a desk clamp; do not infer that other models include one, or that every clamp fits every desk or cockpit.

- Measure the available space and check the manufacturer’s mounting specifications for the exact model.
- Confirm that the desk or stand can accommodate the clamp or mounting method you plan to use.
- Check pedal placement and whether the pedals can be positioned securely in your setup.
- If you plan to add a stand, cockpit, or shifter, verify compatibility with the exact wheel version rather than relying on a product-family name.
How to verify PS5 and GT7 compatibility before buying
- Identify the exact product variant. Check that the listing explicitly names the PlayStation-compatible version for your region; a similarly named PC, Xbox, or other variant is not interchangeable by assumption.
- Confirm GT7 support. Check current manufacturer support information for the exact model and the PS5 version of the game. For the G923, also verify whether the GT7 features you care about are supported; a feature listed for the wheel does not by itself prove how it works in a particular game.
- Check the current product listing. Product pages, stock, regional packages, and included accessories can change. PlayStation Direct’s US wheel category lists the G923 and G29, but that does not establish availability in other regions.
- Reconcile the bundle with your setup. Confirm the wheel, base, pedals, clamp, and any desired add-ons are included or priced separately, then check that the mounting arrangement fits.
- Compare total cost across complete setups. Include required mounting gear and optional accessories, such as the DD Pro boost kit if you intend to use it. No comparable current price set is established here, so a value ranking would be unsupported.
Which wheel should you compare first?
Let your priorities narrow the shortlist rather than treating this as a universal ranking. The DD Pro is the clearest direct-drive candidate in the official descriptions, but the available information does not establish that it is the best value or strongest performer. Compare the T248 if adjustable hybrid feedback modes matter; consider the T300RS GT Edition if its dual-belt design is of interest; and compare the G923 and G29 by exact PlayStation variant, GT7 feature support, and the setup each listing includes. These are comparison starting points, not a tested recommendation.
