Use the StickerPix material made for your exact Cricut machine, select that material in the StickerPix/Design Space workflow, and load the sheet printable side up. For StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets, set the tray guide to 4 × 7 inches. For StickerPix Print + Cut Photo Paper, use 4 × 6 inches. Cricut’s official instructions do not specify a universal printer-driver preset such as “Photo,” a DPI value, or a color profile for StickerPix.
The most important setting is therefore not a generic inkjet quality choice. It is the correct StickerPix model, the correct Cricut media, the matching tray-guide position, and clean handling of the printable surface.

StickerPix Print and StickerPix Print + Cut are different products. Their paper sizes, ink cartridges, and supplies are not cross-compatible. Check the machine name printed on the device and the package before loading anything.
First identify your StickerPix model
StickerPix Print + Cut
This model uses its own glossy Sticker Sheets for custom designs and its own Photo Paper for photo prints. The Sticker Sheets are 4 × 7 inches. The Photo Paper is a separate 4 × 6-inch media type. The tray guide must match the media you selected, not merely the machine model.
#1 Best Overall
- INCLUDES: 50 sheets of Cricut Printable Sticker Paper, US Letter Size (8.5in x 11in)
- READY TO PRINT: Works with inkjet printers, & features a thin liner to reduce printer jams
- COMPATIBLE WITH CRICUT: Compatible with Cricut Explore, Maker & Joy Xtra machines
- FULL COLOR: Made to simplify your sticker making, Cricut Printable Sticker Paper allows you to make full-color stickers.
StickerPix Print
This separate model takes its own compatible photo paper and precut sticker sheets. Cricut lists those media at 3.94 × 6.93 inches (100 × 176 mm). The precut formats include six 1.5-inch rounds, five 1 × 2.6-inch rectangles, six 1.5-inch squares, or one 4 × 6-inch sticker per sheet.
Do not substitute Print + Cut sheets in a StickerPix Print machine, or StickerPix Print media in a Print + Cut machine. Cricut states that the two product families use different sizes and are not cross-compatible. A package that merely says “StickerPix” is not enough; the package must identify the exact model.
Best settings for StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets
- Confirm the package. Choose Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets, not StickerPix Print media and not a generic sticker sheet.
- Open the StickerPix/Design Space workflow. Select the StickerPix Print + Cut Sticker Sheets material option supplied for the machine. Treat this as a dedicated StickerPix workflow rather than as ordinary paper for a separate inkjet printer.
- Set the tray guide to 4 × 7 inches. This is the guide position for the glossy Sticker Sheets. Do not use the 4 × 6-inch position unless you are actually loading StickerPix Print + Cut Photo Paper.
- Place one sheet printable side up. The printable surface must face up in the material tray. Keep fingers, dust, and oils away from that surface because Cricut says they can affect print quality.
- Start the print-and-cut job. Follow the on-screen StickerPix/Design Space sequence for the selected material, then allow the machine to perform its intended print and cut process.
Cricut’s published instructions do not identify a separate “best quality” driver mode, DPI setting, or color-profile selection for these Sticker Sheets. Selecting an unrelated “photo paper” or “high-DPI” option in a conventional printer driver is not an official StickerPix setting and can misrepresent the media being used.

- Verify that the package says StickerPix Print + Cut Photo Paper.
- Choose the Photo Paper option in the StickerPix/Design Space workflow.
- Move the tray guide to 4 × 6 inches. The 4 × 7-inch position is for Sticker Sheets, not this paper.
- Load the sheet with its printable side up and avoid touching that side.
- Run the job using the StickerPix workflow for Photo Paper.
Photo Paper and Sticker Sheets are separate media types even though they are used in the same Print + Cut machine. Their guide positions correspond to their different dimensions, so a correct material selection and a correct physical guide position must agree.

What “print settings” does—and does not—mean for StickerPix
For a normal desktop inkjet printer, people often ask about DPI, a “photo” driver mode, paper weight, or an ICC color profile. Cricut’s StickerPix instructions reviewed for this product do not publish a universal value for any of those settings. They specify the Cricut media, loading orientation, guide position, and StickerPix workflow instead.
That means there is no documented Cricut-wide answer such as “always use 300 DPI” or “always select glossy photo paper.” Applying a setting intended for an external inkjet printer can be the wrong advice for this dedicated printer and cartridge system. Use the material choice presented for StickerPix, rather than inventing a driver preset that Cricut has not specified.
Loading procedure that protects print quality
Before loading
- Read the media package and confirm whether it is for StickerPix Print or StickerPix Print + Cut.
- Separate Sticker Sheets from Photo Paper; they require different guide positions.
- Check that the sheet is clean and undamaged.
Orienting the sheet
Place the printable side facing up. Do not touch the printable coating while positioning the sheet. Fingerprints, dust, or skin oils can affect the printed result, according to Cricut’s handling guidance.
Matching the guide
For Print + Cut Sticker Sheets, the guide reads 4 × 7 inches. For Print + Cut Photo Paper, it reads 4 × 6 inches. A guide position that does not match the physical media can lead to feeding or incomplete-print problems, so check both the on-screen selection and the physical guide before starting.

Operating conditions for StickerPix Print + Cut
Cricut gives an optimal working range for StickerPix Print + Cut of 50–95°F (10–35°C) and 40–60% relative humidity. The company says print quality may be affected outside appropriate conditions. These figures apply to the Print + Cut machine; the supplied specifications do not establish the same range for StickerPix Print.
If a Print + Cut result looks unexpectedly poor, check whether the room is outside those ranges before changing unrelated settings. Keep the media in a clean, dry handling environment and avoid touching the printable surface while you investigate.
Material and ink compatibility
StickerPix Print + Cut is designed for Cricut StickerPix Print + Cut materials and ink cartridges. Cricut warns that third-party consumables may cause clogging, print defects, or machine damage, and says it cannot guarantee machine health or performance when third-party supplies are used.

Systematic troubleshooting
The sheet will not feed or the print is incomplete
- Stop and identify the machine: StickerPix Print or StickerPix Print + Cut.
- Read the package again and verify that the media belongs to that model.
- For Print + Cut, verify that Sticker Sheets are set to 4 × 7 inches or Photo Paper to 4 × 6 inches.
- Check that the tray guide physically matches the selected size.
- Reload with the printable side up, keeping the surface free from fingerprints, dust, and oils.
These checks address the documented model, size, orientation, and handling requirements before you attempt another print.
The print looks worse than expected
- Confirm that the selected material in the StickerPix/Design Space workflow matches the sheet in the tray.
- Check the room against the Print + Cut range of 50–95°F (10–35°C) and 40–60% relative humidity.
- Inspect the printable surface for fingerprints, dust, or oil.
- Verify that the media and cartridges are Cricut supplies intended for the exact StickerPix model.
Do not assume that switching to an unlisted DPI, color profile, or generic photo-paper preset will correct the problem; Cricut does not publish a universal StickerPix value for those choices.
The design is on the wrong material size
Check whether you loaded 4 × 7-inch Sticker Sheets or 4 × 6-inch Photo Paper. In Print + Cut, the guide position must correspond to that physical size. If you own StickerPix Print, its compatible media are approximately 3.94 × 6.93 inches and use that model’s own procedure instead of the Print + Cut settings.

An external-printer workflow is different from StickerPix. The instructions above apply to Cricut’s dedicated StickerPix printer models and their media. If you print on a separate inkjet printer and cut with another Cricut machine, the appropriate paper setting, resolution, and color management depend on the external printer model and the exact paper product; they are not established by the StickerPix instructions.

Frequently misunderstood settings
“Should I choose Photo or Best Quality?”
There is no universal Cricut-published StickerPix answer to that driver question. StickerPix instructions identify the dedicated material and loading workflow, not a generic desktop-printer quality preset.
“What DPI should I use?”
Cricut’s StickerPix guidance does not state a universal DPI value. Do not present a made-up number as an official requirement.
“Can I use StickerPix Print + Cut paper in StickerPix Print?”
No. Cricut says the Print and Print + Cut materials are different sizes and are not cross-compatible.
