There is no single best phone under ₹70,000 for everyone. In 91mobiles’ comparison, the Motorola Signature is the overall pick at ₹59,999; the OnePlus 15R is the performance pick at ₹59,999; the OPPO Reno 16 is the camera pick at ₹66,999; the iQOO 15R is the battery pick at ₹53,999; and the Samsung Galaxy A57 is the software-focused choice at ₹59,999. These are the publication’s recommendations, not a universal ranking. Choose by what you value most, and check the exact model, storage variant and live price before buying.
Best phones under ₹70,000: at a glance
The prices below are the amounts reported in 91mobiles’ comparison, whose model and category prices are dated 21 September 2026. They are snapshots, not guaranteed current selling prices. A separate 91mobiles list says it checked prices against Amazon India and Flipkart on 5 October 2026; that is a later verification date, but retailer offers and stock can still change.
| Phone | Best for | Reported price | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Motorola Signature | Balanced features and software support | ₹59,999 (91mobiles comparison, 21 September 2026) | Battery endurance and thermal efficiency are concerns in 91mobiles’ list; camera tuning may also feel conservative. |
| OnePlus 15R | Performance and gaming | ₹59,999 (91mobiles comparison, 21 September 2026) | No telephoto camera; 91mobiles flags low-light photography as an area for improvement. |
| OPPO Reno 16 | Camera versatility | ₹66,999 (91mobiles comparison, 21 September 2026) | Higher price in this shortlist and a chipset that 91mobiles says could be better. |
| Vivo X200T | Camera alternative with wireless charging | ₹59,999 (91mobiles comparison, 21 September 2026) | Standard 120Hz AMOLED rather than LTPO, USB 2.0 and reported heat during sustained gaming (Digit). |
| iQOO 15R | Battery-focused pick | ₹53,999 (91mobiles comparison, 21 September 2026) | The cited roundup names it the battery winner but does not provide equivalent detailed test figures in the available model passage. |
| Samsung Galaxy A57 | Software experience and support | ₹59,999 (91mobiles comparison, 21 September 2026) | Positioned for support and polish rather than top-tier performance. |
These entries reflect different priorities, not identical strengths. 91mobiles says its comparison draws on in-house performance benchmarks, battery and charging tests, display evaluations, real-world usage and camera comparisons. Treat its measured results and editorial picks as that publisher’s findings rather than independent guarantees of what every owner will experience.
Which phone should you choose?
Motorola Signature: the balanced option
At the comparison’s reported ₹59,999, the Motorola Signature combines a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a dynamic 1–165Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, three 50MP rear cameras, a 5,200mAh battery and 90W charging. 91mobiles describes its software as clean and close to stock Android and reports up to seven years of OS and security updates. That update duration is a stated support promise, not evidence that every update will arrive on a particular schedule.

- LIVE FAST. CHARGE FASTER: Focus more on the moment and less on your battery percentage with Galaxy A17 5G. Super Fast Charging powers up your battery so you can get back to life sooner.²

- NEED MORE STORAGE? WE HAVE YOU COVERED: With an improved 2TB of expandable storage, Galaxy A17 5G makes it easy to keep cherished photos, videos and important files readily accessible whenever you need them.³
- BUILT TO LAST: With an improved IP54 rating, Galaxy A17 5G is even more durable than before.⁴ It’s built to resist splashes and dust and comes with a stronger yet slimmer Gorilla Glass Victus front and Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer back.
It is not the strongest choice if long battery life or cool sustained operation is your overriding need: 91mobiles’ list describes endurance as underwhelming, notes the relatively smaller capacity compared with some rivals, and flags thermal inefficiency. The publisher also characterizes its camera tuning as conservative. Its AnTuTu score of 3,098,258 is a 91mobiles result from 2026; the publication says AnTuTu assesses CPU, GPU, memory and overall user experience, but the score is not a substitute for typical-use performance.
OnePlus 15R: performance and gaming
The OnePlus 15R is 91mobiles’ performance pick at ₹59,999. The listed hardware includes Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 6.83-inch 165Hz AMOLED display, a 7,400mAh battery and 80W charging. The comparison describes a cooling system for sustained gaming and reports no noticeable stutter in its everyday-use testing. Those observations belong to 91mobiles’ review conditions, not a promise that every game or workload will behave identically.
In its 2026 list, 91mobiles reports an 18-hour-13-minute battery-test duration and a 49-minute charging time. These are publisher test results, not a guaranteed screen-on time or charging time for every user. Its AnTuTu score is 2,957,229 in 91mobiles’ 2026 test. The rear cameras are a 50MP main camera and an 8MP secondary camera; there is no telephoto lens, and the comparison identifies low-light photography as a weakness. Pick it for speed and gaming rather than long-range zoom or low-light camera flexibility.

OPPO Reno 16: more camera reach
At ₹66,999 in the roundup, the OPPO Reno 16 is the 91mobiles camera pick. Its camera setup has 50MP sensors for the main, ultrawide, 3.5x telephoto and selfie cameras, alongside a low-light selfie flash and AI imaging tools. A dedicated telephoto camera gives it a distinct use case for subjects beyond the main camera’s natural framing, while the ultrawide adds a wider perspective.
The listed specifications also include Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a 6.32-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 6,700mAh battery and 80W charging. 91mobiles calls the camera package versatile but says the chipset could be better. This is the shortlist’s pricier option, so it makes most sense when camera variety matters more than maximizing processing performance per rupee.
Vivo X200T: camera alternative and feature mix
91mobiles lists the Vivo X200T at ₹59,999 as an alternative for camera buyers. Digit lists the India configuration at that price as 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with a Dimensity 9400+, three 50MP ZEISS-branded rear cameras, a 3x optical telephoto, a 6,200mAh battery, 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. The optical telephoto provides a specific camera advantage over the OnePlus 15R, which has no telephoto lens.

Digit also identifies trade-offs: the display is a standard 120Hz AMOLED rather than LTPO, the USB connection is USB 2.0, and some reports describe heat during sustained gaming. It is a plausible choice for someone who wants telephoto reach and wireless charging in one package, but the listed specifications alone do not establish that it will outperform competitors in every camera or gaming situation.

91mobiles names the iQOO 15R its battery pick at ₹53,999. The material supporting that recommendation does not provide comparable detailed endurance or charging figures for this model, so the category label should be read as the publisher’s verdict rather than a directly comparable runtime claim. Check a full model-specific review and the current price if battery life is your deciding factor.
Samsung Galaxy A57: software-first choice
91mobiles recommends the Samsung Galaxy A57 for buyers who prioritize long-term software support and a polished Samsung experience. Its reported price is ₹59,999. The roundup frames the compromise clearly: choose it for software and day-to-day polish rather than top-tier chipset performance. The cited material does not give a specific update-duration figure for the A57, so do not infer one from the recommendation alone.

Other phones that may fit the budget
Beebom’s list, updated 4 October 2026, includes several additional options below ₹70,000 at the list prices it reports. These are editorial or retailer-list snapshots; verify the precise configuration and availability on the day you buy.
| Model | Reported price | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi 15 | ₹69,998 (Beebom list, updated 4 October 2026) | Near the budget ceiling; confirm the exact variant and live price. |
| Xiaomi 17T | ₹69,999 (Beebom list, updated 4 October 2026) | Beebom lists Dimensity 8500-Ultra, a 6,500mAh battery, 67W charging and a Leica-backed camera with 5x optical zoom; it also notes software inconsistencies. |
| OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G | ₹60,825 (Beebom list, updated 4 October 2026) | Confirm current price and configuration before treating it as an under-₹70,000 option. |
| Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge | ₹66,890 (Beebom list, updated 4 October 2026) | Check live availability and the specific variant. |
| iPhone 16 | ₹69,900 (Beebom list, updated 4 October 2026) | Listed below the cap at that date; verify the exact model and offer. |
The Pixel 10 is a budget-edge case, not a dependable under-₹70,000 recommendation based on the cited price. Gadgets 360’s guide dated 30 January 2026 listed it from ₹70,220 in India. Later offers may differ, but that dated figure is above a strict ₹70,000 ceiling. The same guide lists a 4,970mAh battery and Google’s promise of seven years of OS and security updates.

Performance: sustained use matters more than a single score
For demanding games, the OnePlus 15R is the clearest choice in this roundup because it is the named performance pick and 91mobiles specifically describes cooling and sustained gaming. Motorola Signature’s 2026 AnTuTu result is higher than the OnePlus 15R’s reported result, but benchmarks measure a particular test run; they do not by themselves establish sustained frame rates, heat, or responsiveness in your own games. Consider memory and storage configuration as well as chipset, and look for workload-specific testing rather than treating one benchmark as a complete ranking.

Cameras: check lens roles and difficult conditions
Count the kinds of shots you take, not just the megapixels. OPPO Reno 16 offers a stated 3.5x telephoto and ultrawide; Vivo X200T lists a 3x optical telephoto. OnePlus 15R lacks a telephoto lens, and 91mobiles calls out its low-light performance. A camera decision should also account for low-light scenes, selfies and processing style: the Reno 16’s low-light selfie flash and 50MP selfie camera are relevant if you often take front-camera photos, while the Signature’s conservative tuning may not suit someone seeking more assertive processing.
Battery: capacity, test duration and charging are different measures
Battery capacity in mAh is a specification, not a direct prediction of hours between charges. Screen brightness, mobile signal, games, camera use and software all affect consumption. The OnePlus 15R has the largest stated capacity among the detailed primary picks at 7,400mAh, and 91mobiles reports its own 18-hour-13-minute test duration; those facts do not establish the same runtime for every use pattern. The iQOO 15R is the publisher’s battery category pick, but a comparable test figure is not stated in the cited passage.
Software: separate the promise from the experience
The Galaxy A57 is the roundup’s software-focused recommendation, while Motorola Signature is described as near-stock Android with up to seven years of OS and security updates. Those are different considerations: interface preference and polish on one hand, a stated support period on the other. The Pixel 10’s seven-year update promise is reported by Gadgets 360, but its January 2026 price snapshot is over the cap. A promised support window does not tell you how quickly updates reach a particular device or market.

Price: confirm the exact variant and offer terms
Prices can move with retailer, stock, storage tier, bank discounts and exchange offers. The reported ₹59,999 Vivo X200T price is specifically associated by Digit with its 12GB/256GB India variant; the other comparison prices should not be assumed to refer to an identical configuration unless the retailer listing confirms it. Before paying, check that the listing is for the intended model and storage, and distinguish the ordinary selling price from a conditional card or exchange offer.
