The best phone under ₹15,000 depends on what matters most: 91mobiles names the Infinix Smart 20 for day-to-day use, the Lava Virat V1 5G for performance, and the Ai+ Nova 2 5G for battery life. Those are category picks, not a single overall ranking. Prices also change between listings, so check the exact variant and current seller price before buying.
Quick picks by priority
| Priority | Phone | Why it stands out | Main compromise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Everyday use | Infinix Smart 20 | Routine messaging, social apps, email and casual games; 5,200mAh battery | 4G only, HD+ LCD and low brightness noted by 91mobiles |
| Performance and moderate gaming | Lava Virat V1 5G | Unisoc T8200, 120Hz display and 91mobiles-reported AnTuTu score of 515,146 | 10W charging and basic cameras |
| Battery capacity | Ai+ Nova 2 5G | 6,000mAh battery, 18W charging and Unisoc T8200 | Its reported PCMark result was below Lava’s in that test |
| Clean software | HMD Vibe 2 5G | Android 16 with a mostly bloatware-free interface | Not a performance leader; OS upgrades were not official in the comparison |
91mobiles’ category-winner prices were dated September 14, 2026: ₹13,499 for the Infinix Smart 20, ₹13,499 for the Lava Virat V1 5G and ₹13,999 for the Ai+ Nova 2 5G. These are dated listing snapshots, not guaranteed current prices. 91mobiles’ comparison explains the picks and its testing.
Best phone for everyday use: Infinix Smart 20
The Smart 20 is the 91mobiles pick for day-to-day use. Its cited configuration combines a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate chip, a 5,200mAh battery, 15W charging, 8MP front and rear cameras, and Android 16-based XOS 16. The outlet says it is suited to routine messaging, social apps, email and casual games.
The trade-off is connectivity and display: this is a 4G phone with an HD+ LCD, and 91mobiles notes low brightness. If you need 5G or expect to keep the phone for several years, consider a 5G model instead. That is a practical hedge, not a guarantee that any particular network or phone will remain suitable over time.

Best for performance and moderate gaming: Lava Virat V1 5G
The Lava Virat V1 5G uses the Unisoc T8200 and has a 6,000mAh battery, IP64 rating, Android 16 and a 120Hz HD+ LCD. 91mobiles reports an AnTuTu score of 515,146. That score is a result reported by the outlet, not a prediction of frame rates in a specific game or proof that it outperforms every phone in this price range.
It is best understood as a phone for dependable routine use and moderate gaming, not a high-end gaming device. Its 10W charging is slow, and the 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras are basic. Choose it for the cited performance-oriented pick and 5G connectivity, while keeping those compromises in mind.
Rank #2
- Fluid 120Hz Display: Features a large 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for smooth scrolling and added durability.
Best battery-focused pick: Ai+ Nova 2 5G
The Ai+ Nova 2 5G pairs a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging and the Unisoc T8200. 91mobiles also reports 4K video recording and clean NxtQ software. Its battery category label should not be read as a promise of the longest runtime for every user.
In 91mobiles’ PCMark battery test, which measured usage from 100% down to 20%, the Ai+ Nova 2 5G recorded 11.0 hours. The same comparison reports 21.5 hours for the Lava Virat V1 5G and 10.7 hours for the HMD Vibe 2 5G. These are outlet-reported results under that test definition, not universal real-world runtimes. The comparison also describes the Nova 2’s rear panel as flimsy.

Best for cleaner software: HMD Vibe 2 5G
The HMD Vibe 2 5G runs Android 16 with an interface 91mobiles describes as clean and mostly free of bloatware. The outlet reports a 6,000mAh battery and 18W charging. It also reports two years of security updates; OS upgrades were not official at the time of the comparison.
For context, 91mobiles reports an AnTuTu score of 511,972 for this phone, also based on the Unisoc T8200. The realme C100X, with a Unisoc T7250, scored 380,571 in the same outlet’s comparison. Benchmark results can help distinguish the tested devices, but they do not establish game performance across titles or conditions.

How to compare prices under ₹15,000
Phone prices in this range vary by date, seller and RAM/storage configuration. The differences between published snapshots are large enough that a model should not be treated as under budget without checking its live listing.

Quick Recap
- Confirm the exact RAM and storage configuration, since prices may differ between variants.
- Check that the listing is in stock and identify the seller; a dated comparison price does not guarantee either.
- Compare the live price with the ₹15,000 ceiling, including any delivery or checkout charges shown by the retailer.
- Choose based on your priority rather than assuming the lowest listed price means the best fit.
Which should you buy?
- Choose the Infinix Smart 20 if daily apps and casual use matter most and 4G is acceptable.
- Choose the Lava Virat V1 5G if you want the performance-oriented pick, 5G and moderate gaming capability, and can accept slower charging and basic cameras.
- Choose the Ai+ Nova 2 5G if you value its large battery capacity and 18W charging, but do not treat battery size as a runtime guarantee.
- Consider the HMD Vibe 2 5G if a cleaner software experience matters more than class-leading performance.
