Steam users should not assume that GOG’s included change or file instructions apply to their installation. Steam community guides and discussions describe LAA installation concerns that involve handling the executable. These are user-authored procedures rather than official support, so use a current Steam-specific guide and confirm it matches your game version before replacing or patching files. Establish a clean baseline first
- Launch the unmodded game. Confirm that it starts from your storefront before changing files.

Visual changes
Add visual modifications only if you want their specific changes and have checked their requirements for your game version. The available sources do not establish a universal best graphics configuration, a hardware-by-hardware settings matrix, or a tested combination of visual mods for every PC.
