There is no evidence-backed universal winner among omnichannel CRMs for customer support and sales. HubSpot Service Hub, Salesforce Service Cloud, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center with Customer Service are the strongest candidates supported by the available product documentation. The right fit depends on whether you need a shared customer record and sales handoff, which channels must work together, and how much routing and automation your operation requires. Zendesk is a useful support-led comparison, but its support workspace alone does not establish that it meets a combined sales CRM requirement.

The capabilities below come from vendor product pages and Microsoft documentation, not independent performance testing. The sources do not provide comparable current prices, plan-by-plan entitlements, or a tested ranking.

Omnichannel CRM shortlist at a glance

Count channels only after confirming how they share context and move work between teams. A product that lists email, chat, voice, or messaging is not necessarily giving every agent the same customer history or routing interactions consistently. Confirm which channels are native, which depend on integrations, and what is included in the edition and region you plan to use.

HubSpot Service Hub Teams prioritizing a service record connected to sales and marketing HubSpot names email, live chat, and WhatsApp; its page describes interactions flowing to sales and marketing. Channel APIs can integrate messaging or voice platforms. General service and CRM capabilities are described; exact automation and AI entitlements by plan are not established. Comparable current prices and plan entitlements are not stated on the cited evidence. HubSpot product page
Salesforce Service Cloud Organizations needing CRM-connected service, configurable routing, and a broad service operation Salesforce describes voice, email, chat, and messaging and shared customer context across digital engagement. Salesforce describes omnichannel routing, automation, and AI agents; independent outcomes and edition-level entitlements are not established. Comparable current prices are not stated in the cited pages. Salesforce comparison and digital engagement page
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center and Customer Service Organizations considering Microsoft’s cloud contact-center and customer-service capabilities Microsoft documents omnichannel capabilities and voice calling through PSTN. Confirm the exact channel configuration for the intended deployment. Microsoft lists IVR, AI agents, conversation summaries, sentiment analysis, live transcription, translation, case creation, and queue management. Configuration and licensing matter. Comparable current prices are not stated in the cited documentation. Contact Center overview and Customer Service omnichannel introduction
Zendesk Agent Workspace Support-led teams comparing a unified agent workspace; sales CRM fit remains to be established A Salesforce-authored comparison characterizes the workspace as bringing company channels, customer data, and collaboration tools onto one screen. This is not neutral confirmation of all channel coverage. The cited description does not establish a combined support-and-sales routing or automation setup. Current comparable prices are not stated in the cited source. Salesforce comparison

These are candidates, not a performance ranking. The first three have direct vendor or product-documentation evidence for the combined service-and-customer-context question. Zendesk is included as a support-led point of comparison because the available description comes from Salesforce, a competing vendor; treat it accordingly.

What makes a CRM genuinely omnichannel?

For a support-and-sales team, omnichannel is about continuity of customer context and work, not the number of channel icons on a product page. Salesforce describes a consistent service experience when customers move across voice, email, chat, and messaging. Its digital engagement page also describes shared context and routing. Those are vendor capability statements, not independent proof that every deployment delivers that result.

  • Shared context: Can support agents and sales staff see relevant interactions on the same customer record, or does context remain in separate tools?
  • Consistent routing: Can new conversations and cases reach the right team, and can they be reassigned or escalated without losing their history?
  • Channel reality: Which channels are supported directly, which require an integration or channel provider, and which are available in your market and edition?
  • Useful automation: What can be routed, summarized, or handled by automation, and where should a human review or take over?
  • Sales handoff: Does a service interaction become visible to sales in a way that helps the next conversation, without treating every support exchange as a sales lead?

1. HubSpot Service Hub: a connected service, sales, and marketing record

HubSpot’s omnichannel product page presents Service Hub as a CRM-centered service option. It names email, live chat, and WhatsApp and says channel APIs can integrate messaging or voice platforms. HubSpot also says customer interactions flow to sales and marketing teams. That makes it a relevant candidate when support is expected to contribute context to a broader customer relationship rather than operate as a separate ticketing island.

What stands out

  • The cited page explicitly names email, live chat, and WhatsApp.
  • HubSpot describes service interactions flowing to sales and marketing teams, which speaks directly to the handoff question in a combined CRM.
  • Channel APIs may allow messaging or voice platforms to be integrated; the page does not establish that every integration is built in or included for every customer.

What to confirm

The available page does not map channel, automation, or AI entitlements to current paid tiers, nor does it establish regional availability for every integration. Before choosing an edition, confirm the exact channels, integration dependencies, and included functionality for your target region. Current comparable prices are not established by the cited evidence.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Best fit: Teams that want customer-service interactions to inform a shared service, sales, and marketing relationship, especially where email, live chat, and WhatsApp are central to the channel mix.

See HubSpot’s Service Hub omnichannel page.

2. Salesforce Service Cloud: CRM-connected routing and digital engagement

Salesforce’s service comparison describes Service Cloud as supporting omnichannel service, AI agents, and automation. Its digital engagement page describes CRM-integrated channels, shared customer context, and omnichannel routing. These capabilities make it a candidate for organizations that need to configure how service work moves across channels and teams while retaining CRM context. The cited pages are Salesforce’s own descriptions and do not establish implementation effort, total cost, or customer outcomes.

What stands out

  • Salesforce describes continuity across voice, email, chat, and messaging rather than framing the product around a single channel.
  • The digital engagement explanation connects channels to CRM context and describes omnichannel routing.
  • The comparison page includes AI agents and automation in its description of the offering.

What to confirm

The cited pages do not provide an apples-to-apples price comparison or establish which capabilities are included in a particular edition, add-on, or regional deployment. Confirm the channel and routing configuration you need, the boundaries of any AI functionality, and the full licensing and implementation scope before budgeting.

Best fit: Organizations that need a CRM-connected service operation with configurable routing across multiple channels, and that are prepared to assess its edition, integration, and deployment requirements.

3. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center and Customer Service: cloud contact-center capabilities with case and queue management

Microsoft Learn describes Dynamics 365 Contact Center as a cloud product. Its overview lists IVR, AI agents, conversation summaries, sentiment analysis, live transcription, and translation among its omnichannel capabilities. Related Customer Service documentation discusses voice calling through PSTN, automatic case creation, and queue management. Together, these pages make Microsoft a candidate for teams evaluating contact-center functions alongside customer-service case handling.

What stands out

  • The Contact Center overview names several specific capabilities: IVR, AI agents, conversation summaries, sentiment analysis, live transcription, and translation.
  • The Customer Service documentation describes PSTN voice, case creation, and queue management.
  • The documented features span interaction handling and case workflows, which can matter when both contact-center operations and service records are in scope.

What to confirm

Determine the product boundary between Dynamics 365 Contact Center and Customer Service for your intended setup. Confirm licensing, channel configuration, integrations, and deployment with Dynamics 365 Sales; the cited documentation does not settle those organization-specific details or establish comparable current prices. Microsoft Learn reported the Contact Center overview as last updated May 8, 2026, and the related omnichannel introduction as last updated August 18, 2026.

Best fit: Organizations evaluating Microsoft’s cloud contact-center capabilities together with Customer Service case and queue workflows, particularly where the planned Dynamics 365 Sales deployment and product boundaries have been explicitly worked through.

4. Zendesk Agent Workspace: a support-led comparison, not a confirmed combined CRM choice

The available description of Zendesk Agent Workspace comes from Salesforce’s vendor-authored service comparison. It characterizes the workspace as putting company channels, customer data, and collaboration tools on one screen. That is a useful lead when comparing support-agent workflows, but it is not neutral confirmation of Zendesk’s channel coverage, and it does not establish that the workspace itself provides the sales-record model required by a combined support-and-sales CRM.

What stands out

  • The cited description focuses on a consolidated support workspace with customer data and collaboration tools.
  • It offers a comparison point for teams whose immediate priority is agent-facing support work.

What to confirm

Establish how sales records and service interactions connect in the specific Zendesk setup under consideration, and which channels and integrations are included. The cited comparison does not establish product-specific pricing or enough detail to recommend Zendesk as a complete support-and-sales CRM.

Best fit: Support-led teams that want to compare a consolidated agent workspace and are separately evaluating how sales context will be maintained.

How to choose between the candidates

1. Map the customer journey, not just the current channel list

List the places customers actually contact you and the handoffs that matter: for example, a live chat that needs follow-up by sales, a WhatsApp conversation that should remain visible to service, or a voice interaction that needs a case. Use the specific channels named in the product documentation as a starting point, then confirm native support, integration requirements, and regional availability directly for your deployment.

2. Decide what “shared customer record” must mean

Define which teams need to see which interactions, what identity links a person or account across channels, and whether service context should flow to sales, marketing, or both. HubSpot explicitly describes service interactions flowing to sales and marketing; Salesforce describes shared CRM context. For Microsoft, verify the intended connection between Contact Center, Customer Service, and Dynamics 365 Sales rather than assuming the product names alone define the handoff.

3. Trace a case or conversation through routing and escalation

Ask how a new interaction is assigned, how a queue is managed, and what happens when work moves to another team or channel. Salesforce describes omnichannel routing; Microsoft documents case creation and queue management. For all candidates, verify the actual routing rules and transfer behavior in the edition and configuration you plan to deploy.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

4. Separate automation claims from the work you need automated

Write down the decisions automation should make, the summaries or translations agents need, and the points where a human must review or take over. Microsoft’s documentation names summaries, sentiment analysis, transcription, translation, IVR, and AI agents; Salesforce describes automation and AI agents. The cited material does not independently test accuracy or establish business outcomes, so evaluate those capabilities against your own workflows before relying on them.

5. Compare the whole operating cost, not an isolated license figure

The cited sources do not support a comparable current price table. A meaningful quote should spell out the required seats and editions, add-ons, implementation services, integrations, channel-provider fees, and contract term. Confirm market availability and the scope of each price with the vendor; do not infer total cost from a feature page.

6. Check deployment requirements before making the shortlist final

Review the systems and constraints that shape implementation: CRM and productivity environment, telephony and channel providers, identity, data handling, accessibility, migration needs, and the administration available to maintain routing and integrations. The cited product pages do not settle these organization-specific requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an omnichannel CRM different from a multichannel help desk?

The useful distinction is whether interactions across channels share relevant customer context and can be routed consistently, including any handoff to sales. A channel list alone does not establish that continuity.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Which product has the lowest price?

The cited evidence does not establish comparable current prices, so it cannot support a lowest-price verdict. Request quotes for the same seat count, edition scope, add-ons, integrations, and term.

Are the listed AI capabilities proven to improve support results?

No. The product pages and Microsoft documentation describe capabilities, but the cited evidence does not independently validate accuracy, resolution improvements, or other outcomes.
