For the smallest water-cooled Mini-ITX build in this comparison, the LIAN LI A4-H2O is the clearest fit: it is an 11 L case with a top 240 mm radiator mount and a strict 55 mm maximum for the combined radiator-and-fan stack. Choose the roomier Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P V2 for top radiators up to 280 mm, or the taller CORSAIR 2000D AIRFLOW if your plan calls for listed 360 mm radiator compatibility. These are compatibility-based recommendations, not thermal-performance rankings.

Mini-ITX water-cooling cases at a glance

Radiator capacity is only one part of the decision. Case volume, radiator location, radiator-plus-fan thickness, GPU dimensions, power-supply format, and room to install components all affect whether a build will fit.

Which case should you choose?

LIAN LI A4-H2O: smallest-volume 240 mm option

At 11 L, the A4-H2O is the choice when minimizing case volume matters more than fitting a larger radiator. LIAN LI describes its sandwich layout as a collaboration with DAN Cases and specifies a top 240 mm radiator position. The combined radiator-and-fan thickness must not exceed 55 mm, so check the actual thickness of both parts rather than relying on the radiator’s nominal size. The case supports SFX and SFX-L power supplies and GPUs up to 322 mm.

Cooler Master NR200P V2: room for a top 280 mm radiator

The 18.25 L NR200P V2 offers a top mount for radiators up to 280 mm. Its larger volume may be preferable if the A4-H2O’s tight layout or 55 mm cooling-stack limit rules out your chosen parts. Cooler Master’s stated GPU clearances depend on the front-bracket configuration, so use the specification for the exact setup rather than treating one maximum as universal. It supports Mini-ITX and SFX or SFX-L power supplies.

CORSAIR 2000D AIRFLOW: listed support through 360 mm

The 2000D AIRFLOW is substantially taller than the other options here, measuring 458 × 271 × 200 mm. Corsair lists radiator compatibility up to 360 mm and describes three 360 mm mounting locations, with two 360 mm radiators installable simultaneously in any two of them. The case is specified for Mini-ITX boards, SFX power supplies, and GPUs up to 365 mm. Confirm the precise clearance and mounting arrangement for your selected parts using Corsair’s compatibility guidance.

Fractal Design Era 2: verify radiator details first

PC Gamer’s comparison reports top 280 mm radiator support and says Fractal recommends using a 240 mm radiator where possible to simplify installation. Treat those details as secondary guidance: consult the current Fractal manual for exact fit before choosing the Era 2 for a particular loop.

How to check whether your parts will fit

  1. Confirm the exact case revision. Open the manufacturer’s page and manual for the specific model, then check the radiator position and any configuration-dependent limits. Do not assume that a similarly named case has identical clearances.
  2. Check the full radiator stack. Add the radiator and fan thicknesses and compare the total with the case limit. For the A4-H2O, that combined figure must be no more than 55 mm. Also check whether fittings, tubes, or nearby parts need additional room.
  3. Measure the graphics card in the intended configuration. Compare its length and other relevant dimensions with the case’s stated GPU clearance. Check power-connector clearance too; a card that meets the length figure may still conflict with a side panel or another component. NVIDIA’s SFF-Ready case table provides another reference for selected cases, but the exact case and card documentation should guide your build.
  4. Match the power supply to the case. The A4-H2O and NR200P V2 list SFX and SFX-L support; the 2000D AIRFLOW lists SFX. Check the PSU’s physical dimensions and cable routing against the case manual.
  5. Review installation access before buying. Removable panels and brackets can make assembly more manageable, but they do not remove the need to plan component order and cable routing. PC Gamer warns that the Era 2 can be challenging in parts selection and build access; that is not a universal ranking of build difficulty.

What radiator size does—and does not—tell you

A 360 mm radiator needs a case with the space and mounting arrangement for it; that requirement makes the 2000D AIRFLOW a different physical proposition from the 11 L A4-H2O. But radiator labels alone do not establish which case will cool a particular CPU or GPU better. The available specifications establish fit, not measured thermal results. Cooling also depends on the components, radiator and fans selected, airflow, and the overall loop or cooler configuration.
