There is no established single longest-range no-glow trail camera in a controlled, cross-brand test. Among the models with figures available, the Bushnell Core S-4K No Glow has a review-listed 110-foot detection range and 110-foot infrared flash range; Stealth Cam and SPYPOINT list 100 feet for detection and flash. Those numbers are not interchangeable, and none guarantees a clear, identifiable image at the stated distance.

What “no-glow” means—and what it does not

No-glow describes the camera’s infrared illumination. Live Science explains that no-glow cameras use 940 nm infrared LEDs that do not emit visible light, unlike 850 nm low-glow LEDs, which emit a small amount of visible light and can travel farther. No-glow does not mean the entire camera is invisible: the housing, lens, and placement may still be noticed. Live Science’s trail-camera comparison discusses the distinction.

Detection range is not the same as flash range

Detection range is the distance at which the motion sensor may trigger. Flash range is the distance the infrared illumination is specified to reach. A sensor can detect movement farther away than the LEDs can adequately light it. Product pages and reviews also use terms such as “night-vision distance,” so figures should be compared cautiously.

Even when a manufacturer or reviewer gives matching detection and flash distances, that does not establish that a camera will capture a sharp, identifiable face at that range. Placement, subject movement, background, and site conditions affect results. The figures below are published specifications, not a shared controlled test.

Which camera best fits your use?

For local recording and the highest listed range here

The Bushnell Core S-4K No Glow is the clearest fit if you want a non-cellular camera and local storage. Digital Camera World lists 110 feet for both detection and no-glow infrared range, a 0.2-second photo trigger, and 4K video at 20 fps. It records to SD/SDHC cards up to 512GB and runs on six AA batteries, with optional external DC power. Because it has no connectivity, it will not send remote cellular alerts or live video.

  • More Features: The camera features a 2.4-inch color display, an intuitive menu system, easy-to-use operation buttons. For an optional external power solution, you can choose Meidase SP350 solar panel (sold separately) and keep 8 AA batteries (sold separately) as a backup.

For cellular access and on-demand viewing

Stealth Cam’s Deceptor MAX 3.0 is specified for up to 100 feet of no-glow detection and flash and supports cellular uploads plus on-demand live streaming. Tactacam’s REVEAL Pro 3.0 lists a shorter 80-foot flash range and 80-foot-plus detection, along with app-requested media and live video streaming. These features depend on network availability and the current service offering; check the camera’s coverage and plan requirements for your location before relying on remote access. Live Science explains why cellular cameras depend on network coverage and service arrangements in its trail-camera guide.

For solar power or selectable illumination

SPYPOINT’s FLEX-S-DARK stands out for its solar power, dual SIM, and selectable no-glow or low-glow LEDs. Its manufacturer lists 100-foot detection and flash range. The low-glow setting is a trade-off: 850 nm illumination can travel farther, but it emits a small amount of visible light, unlike 940 nm no-glow illumination.

  • Extended Power Options & Efficient Design: Powered by 8×AA batteries (not included). For continuous outdoor use, the E5S supports the GardePro SP350 Solar Panel (sold separately), ensuring reliable power even in remote areas.

GardePro’s E7 is a Wi-Fi rather than cellular option. It pairs with a phone using Bluetooth and transmits over Wi-Fi; the manufacturer gives a 45-foot-plus Wi-Fi signal range in an open area. It may suit a camera installed close enough to a usable Wi-Fi connection, but that stated signal distance is not a camera detection or infrared range.

Is a cellular trail camera right for security?

A cellular model can deliver images remotely, which may be useful when the camera is away from your home or property. It is not automatically a better security camera: it needs usable cellular coverage, and SIM or plan requirements vary by model. Confirm current coverage and service terms at the exact installation site. A non-cellular model such as the Bushnell records locally, so you must retrieve its card or connect to it in person.

For property monitoring, treat a trail camera as a way to record activity, not as a guarantee of crime prevention or usable evidence. Published distance figures do not establish face identification at the edge of the range, and the available sources do not demonstrate that any model prevents theft or trespassing.

Check power, storage, and placement before buying

  • Power: Match the camera’s battery type and any external power input to your installation. The Bushnell review specifies six AA batteries and optional external DC power; Tactacam lists 12 AA batteries; SPYPOINT describes solar power. Confirm that any solar panel or external supply is compatible with the exact model.
  • Storage: Check whether the camera records to a removable card, built-in storage, or both, and verify supported capacity. Bushnell’s review lists SD/SDHC up to 512GB; Tactacam lists built-in storage and an optional SD card.
  • Connectivity: A Wi-Fi signal range, cellular coverage, and motion-detection distance measure different things. Test the connection at the intended mounting spot before depending on alerts or remote viewing.
  • Positioning: Aim the camera at the area where you need detail rather than relying on the maximum published distance. A shorter, well-lit, unobstructed view is more useful for identification than a distant trigger with poorly illuminated footage.
  • Mounting and access: Consider whether the installation needs a wall mount, security box, or other compatible accessory. GardePro lists E7 bundles that may include these items; verify the selected bundle and camera compatibility.

Why the longest-range label needs caution

Live Science’s 2025 comparison table lists up to 120 feet of detection range and a 0.15-second trigger for the Bushnell Core DS-4K No Glow. That is a comparison-table entry, not a current manufacturer guarantee, and it does not state an equivalent infrared flash distance. It therefore cannot establish that the model provides usable illumination or identification at 120 feet. See the Live Science comparison for its listed figure.

  • 0.2s trigger speed: The deer cameras will be triggered instantly in 0.2s without delay, once detecting the movement, you will never miss any exciting moments. And only needs 4 AA batteries, which reduces the size and weight of the camera.(Included 16GB mirco memory card/ 4 Pcs AA batteries/ SD card reader).
  • Advanced and friendly night vision: Night vision game camera equipped with 940nm infrared light record animal activity at night clearly, and not to frighten the animals away, so that can capture any moment.
  • 120° wide angle sensor: This waterproof trail cam has a 120° Wide Angle Sensor and with a detection range of 80 ft, which allows you to get an excellent broader view.
  • Multi-function trail camera: The hidden camera comes with multi-recording modes and versatile functions(password protection/time stamp function/flash mode/three camera modes and so on), at the same time, it reduces the inadvertent shoot caused by the leaves or grass, saved power and memory card storage space.

Across these options, the Bushnell Core S-4K No Glow has the highest paired detection and flash figure in the cited product evidence, at 110 feet each in Digital Camera World’s 2026 review. That is a useful specification-based lead, not proof of a universally longest-range camera: the available figures come from different sources and are not measured in a common test.
