There is no single, independently proven battery-life winner. In the compared 2026 specifications, Logitech’s G305 LIGHTSPEED carries the highest quoted manufacturer figure at up to 250 hours, while SteelSeries rates the Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 for up to 200 hours on Bluetooth and up to 120 hours on 2.4 GHz. Those numbers use different connection modes and measurement methods. For competitive play, polling rate, lighting, weight and shape can matter as much as the headline maximum.
What is the longest-battery-life wireless gaming mouse?
Among the models covered here, the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED has the highest quoted manufacturer rating: up to 250 hours. Logitech’s comparison page does not describe a shared test protocol for that figure, so it cannot be treated as a directly comparable laboratory result against the other mice. SteelSeries quotes up to 200 hours for the Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 over Bluetooth and up to 120 hours over 2.4 GHz. Bluetooth and a gaming dongle are separate operating modes, usually with different latency, feature and power characteristics.
If you need a 2.4 GHz connection for fast multiplayer games, the Aerox’s stated 120-hour rating is more relevant than its 200-hour Bluetooth maximum. It is also important to select the polling rate used to obtain a rating. Tom’s Guide reported about 120 hours for the Aerox at 1,000 Hz but 35 hours at 4,000 Hz. That difference is why a mouse advertised for more than 100 hours can require charging much sooner when high-polling hardware is enabled.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe practical answer is therefore conditional: choose the highest rating that matches your connection mode, polling rate, lighting and preferred design. A 250-hour claim is useful for endurance, but it does not prove that the mouse is the best fit for your hand or that it will last 250 hours in a high-performance configuration.

Published battery ratings at a glance
The figures below are manufacturer specifications or a review-reported result, not measurements from a common cross-brand test. Keep the stated mode and conditions attached to every number.
| Model | Published battery rating | Connection and test context |
|---|---|---|
| SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 | Up to 120 hours / up to 200 hours | 2.4 GHz / Bluetooth, respectively. Tom’s Guide reported 120 hours at 1,000 Hz and 35 hours at 4,000 Hz over 2.4 GHz. |
| Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 | 95 hours | Logitech specifies constant motion; the mouse is listed at 60 g. |
| Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED | 250 hours | Logitech comparison-page rating; a shared measurement protocol is not stated. |
| Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED | 140 hours | Logitech specifies constant motion. |
| Logitech G502 X PLUS | 130 hours / 37 hours | Constant motion / RGB on, respectively. |
| Razer Basilisk V3 Pro | Up to 110 hours / up to 150 hours / up to 32 hours | HyperSpeed Wireless at 1,000 Hz / Bluetooth / 8,000 Hz with the separately sold HyperPolling Wireless Dongle and Mouse Dock Pro. |
Because the sources do not establish identical test conditions, these values should be read as a specification guide rather than a definitive ranking. “Up to” describes a maximum under the manufacturer’s stated conditions, not a guaranteed runtime for every user.
How each long-runtime model differs
SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2
SteelSeries states: “Game, grind and scroll for up to 200 hours on Bluetooth or up to 120 hours on 2.4GHz wireless.” The two numbers describe different radios. Bluetooth is the endurance option for ordinary desktop work, travel or games where latency is less critical; 2.4 GHz is the relevant mode for most competitive gaming setups.
The Aerox is the clearest example of why polling rate changes the buying decision. Tom’s Guide reported roughly 120 hours at 1,000 Hz over 2.4 GHz, but about 35 hours at 4,000 Hz. The reviewer also observed a 40 percent battery drop after around 15 hours at 4,000 Hz and could not fully drain the battery during the review. That is a use report rather than a complete-discharge laboratory test, but it demonstrates the cost of high polling.
Choose this model when you want a long Bluetooth maximum and the option of 2.4 GHz gaming, provided you are willing to use 1,000 Hz when endurance matters. If you plan to run 4,000 Hz continuously, budget for charging closer to the review’s 35-hour observation than to the 120-hour maximum.
Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2
Logitech lists 95 hours of battery life under constant-motion conditions and describes the mouse as weighing 60 g. That combination makes it a lightweight, competitive-focused comparator rather than the longest-runtime choice in this group.

- ICONIC ERGONOMIC FORM WITH 9 CUSTOMIZABLE CONTROLS — Favored by millions worldwide, the mouse’s signature shape perfectly supports different grips, while its numerous easy-access buttons allow for an endless combination of commands and macros
- RAZER HYPERSPEED WIRELESS AND BLUETOOTH — Unleash seamless, low-latency performance that's faster than other wireless tech or switch to Bluetooth for longer hours of gaming. Outfitted with multi-device support for a streamlined setup
- UP TO 285 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE — With up to 535 hours on Bluetooth and 285 hours on Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, last longer in the heat of battle with a mouse designed to play the long game. May vary depending on usage conditions
- RAZER 5G ADVANCED 18K OPTICAL SENSOR — Tailor the mouse to the playstyle with a new, robust set of sensitivity settings. Enjoy responsive, pixel-precise aim with an ultra-reliable sensor that tracks movement with zero spinouts
- RAZER MECHANICAL MOUSE SWITCHES GEN-2 — With new gold-plated contact points, the switches are less prone to degrading and have a longer lifespan of up to 60-million clicks, so gamers can enjoy crisp execution that’s just as consistent
A 95-hour rating can still cover many days of play, especially when the mouse is returned to its receiver or charging cable between sessions. Its appeal is the low weight and simple control layout. Players who need a large number of side buttons, a more sculpted palm rest or a free-spinning scroll wheel should evaluate fit and controls separately; battery life does not answer those questions.

Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED
Logitech’s comparison page lists up to 250 hours for the G305 LIGHTSPEED, the highest quoted figure in this set. The page does not state that Logitech used the same test procedure for every model in the table, so the number is best treated as a manufacturer-listed endurance claim rather than a category-wide record.
The G305 is the logical starting point for a reader whose first priority is minimizing charging. Confirm its battery type, weight and shape against your preferences before choosing it solely on the 250-hour figure. A mouse that lasts longer but causes hand fatigue or lacks needed controls is not a better gaming tool for that user.
Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED
Logitech gives the G502 X LIGHTSPEED a 140-hour constant-motion rating. It sits below the G305’s quoted maximum but above the 95-hour figure for the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2. The model belongs to a more feature-oriented design family, so it may suit players who value additional controls and an ergonomic shell over minimum weight.
Use the 140-hour number as a planning estimate under Logitech’s stated constant-motion condition. Actual runtime will depend on sleep timers, polling settings and how often the mouse is moving between charges.
Logitech G502 X PLUS
The G502 X PLUS is listed at 130 hours with constant motion or 37 hours with RGB on. Those two figures show how strongly lighting can affect endurance. If you want the longest interval between charges, disabling RGB or using a lower-intensity setting is likely to matter more than small differences between similar headline ratings.

Consider this model when lighting and a button-rich ergonomic design are important. If you leave RGB enabled, plan around the 37-hour specification rather than the 130-hour maximum.
Razer Basilisk V3 Pro
Razer rates the Basilisk V3 Pro for up to 110 hours at 1,000 Hz over HyperSpeed Wireless and up to 150 hours over Bluetooth. With the separately sold HyperPolling Wireless Dongle and Mouse Dock Pro operating at 8,000 Hz, Razer lists up to 32 hours.
This is a useful example of a performance-versus-endurance trade-off. The 1,000 Hz 2.4 GHz figure is substantially longer than the 8,000 Hz setup, while Bluetooth extends the quoted maximum for noncompetitive use. The Basilisk’s ergonomic shape and extra controls target a different user from a 60 g minimalist mouse, so choose based on hand fit and controls after selecting the mode you will actually use.

Why polling rate changes battery life
Polling rate is how often the mouse reports its position to the computer. At 1,000 Hz, a report is sent every millisecond; higher settings send updates more frequently and require more processing and radio activity. The Aerox figures provide a concrete comparison: Tom’s Guide reported 120 hours at 1,000 Hz versus 35 hours at 4,000 Hz over 2.4 GHz.
Higher polling can make sense with a high-refresh monitor and a competitive game, but it is not automatically beneficial for every setup. A practical configuration is:
- Competitive FPS: start at 1,000 Hz, then test 2,000 or 4,000 Hz only if your computer and monitor benefit and the shorter runtime is acceptable.
- MMO, strategy and casual games: 1,000 Hz is generally the endurance-oriented choice in the models covered here.
- Desktop and travel: use Bluetooth where available to obtain the longer quoted mode-specific rating, switching to the gaming receiver when latency matters.
Do not compare a 250-hour rating from an unspecified setup with a 35-hour result measured at 4,000 Hz. They answer different operating questions.

Connection mode: Bluetooth versus 2.4 GHz
Bluetooth can extend battery life, as shown by the Aerox’s up-to-200-hour Bluetooth rating and the Basilisk V3 Pro’s up-to-150-hour Bluetooth rating. It is convenient for laptops and secondary devices and avoids occupying a USB port. The trade-off is that Bluetooth may have different latency, wake behavior, feature support and polling limits than a dedicated 2.4 GHz receiver.

Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallUse the 2.4 GHz receiver for competitive play unless your game and system testing show that Bluetooth meets your requirements. When comparing products, write down the mode beside the number; “150 hours” without “Bluetooth” is incomplete information for the Basilisk, just as “200 hours” without “Bluetooth” is incomplete for the Aerox.
Shape, weight and controls still decide comfort
Battery life cannot compensate for a poor fit. Measure your hand or compare the mouse’s dimensions with a shape you already use. Palm, claw and fingertip grips place pressure in different areas, and a design that feels stable to one grip can feel cramped or tiring to another.
Weight changes how quickly you can reposition the mouse. The 60 g PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 is aimed at users who prioritize a light competitive feel. Larger, ergonomic models such as the Basilisk V3 Pro and G502 X series serve readers who prefer palm support, thumb rests or additional buttons. Neither approach is universally better.
Control requirements vary by genre:
- Competitive FPS: a light shell, predictable main clicks and a simple button layout may be more valuable than a thumb-clutch or many macros.
- MMO and productivity: extra side buttons and scroll-wheel functions can reduce keyboard movement and may justify a heavier body.
- General gaming: prioritize a comfortable grip and dependable wireless switching; the difference between 110 and 140 quoted hours is less important if both cover your normal charging cycle.
Lighting and power settings
RGB can materially reduce endurance. Logitech lists 130 hours for the G502 X PLUS under constant motion but 37 hours with RGB on. Treat the lower, lighting-on figure as the relevant one if illumination is part of your normal setup.
Recommended Free Tools
Turn off lighting, reduce brightness, shorten the inactivity timer and use sleep features when available. Keep firmware and control software current, but avoid assuming that an update will create a specific battery improvement unless the manufacturer documents it. A receiver placed close to the mouse can also reduce retransmissions caused by interference, although the supplied specifications do not quantify a runtime gain.

How to choose the right long-battery-life mouse
- Define your real wireless mode. Decide whether you will use Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz or both. Ignore ratings from modes you will not use.
- Set a polling-rate target. If you need 4,000 or 8,000 Hz, use the high-polling rating where one is provided. The Aerox’s 35-hour result and Basilisk’s 32-hour 8,000 Hz rating show why this step matters.
- Choose a comfort and weight class. Compare a lightweight design such as the 60 g PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 with ergonomic, button-rich alternatives such as the Basilisk V3 Pro or G502 X models.
- Decide whether lighting stays on. For the G502 X PLUS, RGB changes the listed rating from 130 hours to 37 hours. Apply the same principle to any mouse with configurable illumination.
- Match controls to your games. Count the side buttons and note scroll-wheel functions before paying for endurance you may not need.
- Plan charging around your schedule. A 35-hour high-polling estimate may be fine if you charge weekly; it is less suitable if you travel without a cable.
- Check the evidence label. Separate manufacturer “up to” ratings, constant-motion specifications, lighting-on figures and independent reviewer observations. Do not treat them as standardized scores.
Recommended choices by priority
For the fewest charging sessions
Start with the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED because Logitech lists up to 250 hours. Verify that its shape, weight and battery arrangement suit you, and remember that the comparison page does not establish a common test protocol.
For long Bluetooth use
The Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 has SteelSeries’ up-to-200-hour Bluetooth rating, while the Basilisk V3 Pro is listed at up to 150 hours on Bluetooth. These are mode-specific maximums, not 2.4 GHz gaming figures.
For lightweight competitive play
The 60 g Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 is the lightest explicitly described model in the supplied specifications, with a 95-hour constant-motion rating. Select it for the weight and shape first, then decide whether 95 hours fits your charging habits.
For high polling with a clear endurance warning
The Aerox review provides the most explicit comparison: about 35 hours at 4,000 Hz versus 120 hours at 1,000 Hz. The Basilisk V3 Pro similarly lists up to 32 hours with its 8,000 Hz accessories. If you use high polling, plan around those lower figures rather than the standard-mode maximums.
For lighting and many controls
The G502 X PLUS and Basilisk V3 Pro target users who value ergonomic forms, extra controls and lighting options. Keep RGB settings in your runtime calculation; the G502 X PLUS’s listed 37 hours with RGB on is dramatically below its 130-hour constant-motion figure.
Battery troubleshooting
The mouse drains much faster than the headline rating
- Confirm whether the mouse is running at 4,000 or 8,000 Hz instead of 1,000 Hz.
- Check whether RGB is enabled; the G502 X PLUS specification shows the potential impact.
- Verify the active radio. Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz ratings are not interchangeable.
- Review the sleep timer and firmware status in the mouse software.
- Keep the receiver near the mouse and away from heavily shielded USB ports or sources of interference.
The mouse will not connect in the expected mode
Check the physical mode switch and pair Bluetooth again if necessary. For 2.4 GHz, reconnect the receiver using the manufacturer’s pairing utility. If you are using an 8,000 Hz accessory, confirm that the compatible dongle and dock are actually connected; Razer lists those parts as sold separately for the Basilisk V3 Pro.
You need to finish a session with a low battery
Reduce polling to 1,000 Hz, disable RGB and use the 2.4 GHz receiver or Bluetooth mode that matches your immediate latency needs. If the mouse supports operation while charging, connect its cable without changing the pointer settings; the supplied specifications do not establish charging times, so consult the model’s manual for that detail.
How to read battery claims responsibly
Manufacturer ratings are useful for comparing a product with itself across modes, but they are not a standardized category leaderboard. “Constant motion” is a stated Logitech condition, while “RGB on” is a separate G502 X PLUS condition. SteelSeries and Razer use “up to” maximums tied to named connection modes. Tom’s Guide’s Aerox observations add real-use context but were not a full controlled discharge test.
No independent, standardized cross-brand endurance study is established for these models. The safest buying method is to identify your exact mode, polling rate and lighting state, then use the closest published figure as a planning range. Treat the result as an estimate, leave room for battery aging and keep a charging cable available for unusually long sessions.
