BookArc Flex makes sense on a small desk where horizontal space is limited, or in a workstation where the MacBook is effectively being used as a desktop computer. It keeps the closed laptop upright and frees the surface that an open laptop would occupy.
Choose BookArc Flex if: you already have an external display and peripherals and want to reclaim desk space.

The 15-inch MacBook Air and 16-inch MacBook Pro are the most important exceptions to generic compatibility claims. A stand can support a laptop’s weight yet still be a poor practical fit if the platform is too narrow, the front lip does not retain the device properly, or the larger chassis interferes with a desk, monitor, or cable arrangement.
Open stand or closed stand?
Choose an open-laptop stand when:
- You want to use the MacBook’s display as a second screen.
- You need the camera and screen higher for video calls or desk ergonomics.
- You may work without an external monitor.
- You are willing to use an external keyboard and mouse when the laptop is raised substantially.
Choose a vertical closed-laptop stand when:

What about typing directly on the stand?
