The latest listed iPad price is for the newer 11-inch iPad with A16—not the 10th-generation model—and it is not a confirmed Black Friday 2026 deal. TechRadar listed it on October 7, 2026, at $399 (down from $449) in the US and £409.97 (down from £429) in the UK. For the 10th-generation iPad, check the exact model, seller, stock, and price before buying; the available evidence does not confirm a current offer for it.

The A16 iPad may be a relevant alternative if you are shopping for a base-model iPad, but it is a different generation from the 10th-generation model named in the headline. Compare the model itself, storage, Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity, and seller—not just the discount label.

Published 2025 offers offer historical context, not a forecast. Macworld reported the entry-level iPad A16 at $279 and Apple Pencil USB-C at $49 during its US Black Friday/Cyber Monday coverage. MacRumors reported the 128GB Wi-Fi 11th-generation iPad at $274, down from $349, during Black Friday week. These were individual retailer snapshots, not market-wide averages, and they do not establish what prices will be in 2026. Macworld’s 2025 Apple deal coverage; MacRumors’ 2025 Black Friday deals

Which Apple Pencil works with the 10th-generation iPad?
Apple lists both Apple Pencil (USB-C) and Apple Pencil (1st generation) as compatible with iPad (10th generation). The same two models are listed for iPad (A16). Apple’s compatibility guide does not list Apple Pencil (2nd generation) or Apple Pencil Pro as compatible with either of these base iPads. Confirm compatibility against Apple’s guide before buying a Pencil advertised simply as “Apple Pencil.” Apple Pencil compatibility guide
Apple Pencil (USB-C)
Apple Pencil (USB-C) is a compatible option for the 10th-generation iPad, and Apple sells it as an accessory for that model. The historical $49 figure above was a reported US Black Friday 2025 price; it does not confirm a current discount. Apple’s iPad accessories

Apple Pencil (1st generation)
The first-generation Pencil is also compatible, but pairing and charging it with the 10th-generation iPad requires the USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter. Include that adapter in the total cost and verify that the specific Pencil and adapter are included or available before checkout. Apple also lists the first-generation Pencil in its iPad accessories catalog. Apple’s iPad accessories

How to compare an iPad or Pencil deal
- Match the exact iPad. Confirm whether the listing is for the 10th-generation iPad or the newer iPad (A16), rather than relying on a generic “iPad” label.
- Check the configuration. Compare storage and Wi-Fi versus cellular; a lower price may apply to a different configuration.
- Verify the offer details. Check region, retailer and seller, stock, and the current checkout price. A listed reference price or discount badge is not proof that an offer is live.
- For a Pencil, verify compatibility first. Choose Apple Pencil (USB-C) or Apple Pencil (1st generation) for the 10th-generation iPad; if choosing the first-generation model, account for the required adapter.
- Use dated prices only as context. The reported 2025 prices are useful reference points, not promises or expected prices for Black Friday 2026.
