If you want a handled tumbler with a straw like the HydroJug Traveler, the best-supported alternative here is the Stanley Quencher H2.0 FlowState Tumbler in 40 oz. It has a comfort-grip handle, reusable straw, vacuum insulation and a cupholder-oriented base. The key trade-off is the lid: Stanley says its covered position resists splashes, while HydroJug says the Traveler is leak-proof with the straw down. Those claims are not equivalent.
What to look for in a HydroJug Traveler alternative
The Traveler’s defining combination is a handle, a circular flip straw and a design HydroJug describes as cupholder-compatible. HydroJug lists 20 oz, 32 oz and 40 oz sizes. How the lid compares
The Quencher’s rotating FlowState lid has three positions: a straw opening, a wide-mouth opening and a covered top intended to resist splashes. That is different from HydroJug’s claim that the Traveler lid is leak-proof with the straw down. Stanley’s stated splash resistance should not be treated as a leakproof guarantee.
