For a free-to-play account, the best hunter or weapon is the one that fills a real gap in your roster and suits the content you are tackling—not simply the highest-ranked name. As of Pocket Gamer’s October 4, 2026 guide for version 1.4.46, its Custom Draw shortlist is Min Byung-Gu, Choi Jong-In, Emma Laurent, and Seo Jiwoo for hunters, and Demonic Plum Flower Sword, The Huntsman, Thethis’ Grimoire, and Demon King’s Longsword for weapons. Treat these as candidates, not guaranteed options: check the live in-game selection screen before spending.
Which hunters should F2P players prioritize?
Start with a dated shortlist, then choose based on the element, role, and team you need. Pocket Gamer’s tier guide, updated October 4, 2026 and labeled version 1.4.46, names these four hunters as Custom Draw priorities:
- Min Byung-Gu
- Choi Jong-In
- Emma Laurent
- Seo Jiwoo
This is an editorial shortlist, not an official Netmarble recommendation or proof that every name remains selectable in every account’s draw pool. Confirm the current selection screen before using draw resources.

Ask whether your roster needs damage, breaking, support, or more survivability, and whether the hunter’s element suits the target encounter. A June 2026 guide from All Things How identifies Go Gunhee as a break-damage option, Tawata Kanae as a high-damage pick when supported, and Thomas Andre as a self-sufficient tank-and-damage option. Those are that guide’s judgments, not official rankings, and its examples predate Pocket Gamer’s October version snapshot. Build quality and team support affect how a hunter performs.
#1 Best Overall
- SUNG JINWOO: Climb the hunter ranks with Total Anime Sung Jinwoo
- SOLO LEVELING: 9-inch deluxe PVC statue is based on the popular anime Solo Leveling
- DYNAMIC POSE: Jinwoo is posed in a dynamic battle stance inspired by the show
- DISPLAY BASE: Includes exciting environmental display base of black flames
Which weapons are worth targeting?
Pocket Gamer’s October 4, 2026 version 1.4.46 guide names these weapons as Custom Draw priorities:
- Demonic Plum Flower Sword
- The Huntsman
- Thethis’ Grimoire
- Demon King’s Longsword
Match a weapon choice to the hunter and build you intend to use, rather than treating the list as a universal order. The guide notes that a hunter’s default weapon can strengthen that hunter; a signature weapon is not a prerequisite for making a hunter useful. As with hunter selections, verify availability in the live draw before committing.

How much should elemental matchup affect your choice?
Check the enemy’s element before deciding that a higher tier alone will carry an encounter. All Things How’s June 2026 guide says an elemental counter receives a 150% damage bonus and an unfavorable matchup deals 50% damage. These are figures reported by a secondary guide, not primary-source game documentation, so treat them as attributed guidance rather than independently verified official mechanics.

The cited guides do not provide a complete quantitative comparison across all of those factors.

When should you spend Essence Stones?
For a limited F2P budget, avoid spending on every new release. All Things How recommends saving Essence Stones for a high-value unit that addresses a roster need, considering banners that may improve the account in more than one way, and using event rewards and accumulated pity as part of a longer-term plan. That is a resource strategy, not a guaranteed pull schedule; the guide does not establish current currency totals for individual accounts.
- Identify the gap. Decide whether your team needs a particular element, damage, breaking, support, or survivability.
- Compare the candidate with your roster. Consider role and team fit, not rank alone.
- Check the live banner or draw selection. Confirm the hunter or weapon is actually selectable before spending.
- Weigh the opportunity cost. Spend only if the candidate solves a meaningful need better than saving for a later opportunity.
Why current version and event checks matter
Tier lists can change as the game adds characters and balance updates. Pocket Gamer’s shortlist is specifically labeled version 1.4.46 and dated October 4, 2026; revisit it after updates rather than assuming the same priorities will hold indefinitely.
