The Steam Autumn Sale 2026 ends October 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific, according to Valve’s official schedule. Current sale reporting highlights deep discounts on several horror games, including The Outlast Trials, Darkwood, Resident Evil 2, and Dead Space. Check each game’s localized Steam listing before buying: prices vary by region, and the reported discounts are temporary snapshots.
Horror game deals reported for the Steam Autumn Sale
The following discounts were reported by GameWatcher during the sale. They are not guaranteed prices for every country or currency; confirm the current offer on your local Steam store page.

GameWatcher also names Routine, Tormented Souls 2, and The Sinking City 2 as discounted, but the reviewed reporting does not give exact prices or discount percentages for them. Use their live Steam pages to verify whether an offer is available and what it costs in your region.

For a co-op horror game: The Outlast Trials
The Outlast Trials is the clearest cooperative choice in these listings: Steam classifies it as Multiplayer and Co-op as well as Horror and Survival Horror. Those are Steam’s tags, not a guarantee that every player will prefer its style. Check the store page for current details before purchasing.

For survival horror with a third-person-shooter tag: Resident Evil Requiem
Steam lists Resident Evil Requiem under both Survival Horror and Third-Person Shooter, alongside Zombies and Horror. Its reported 30% reduction is smaller than the reported cuts on several older games, so compare the local amount you would pay rather than judging value by percentage alone.
For a lower reported sale percentage price: compare the older discounted picks
GameWatcher reports 90% discounts for Darkwood and The Outlast Trials, and 80% discounts for Resident Evil 2 and Dead Space. These figures do not establish which game is cheapest in your country: regional base prices differ, and the exact local prices were not supplied. Darkwood is a discounted horror option, but the available sources do not support a more specific play-style comparison.

How to check a deal before you buy
- Open the game’s Steam store page while signed in to the account and region where you plan to play.
- Confirm the displayed price, currency, discount, and sale end time on that listing; do not assume the reported percentage or U.S. price applies locally.
- If choosing between games in a series, check Steam’s publisher or series bundles. A bundle can be useful to compare, but it is not guaranteed to be cheaper in every region or during this sale.
- Add games you may buy later to your Steam wishlist. Valve says discounts of 20% or more can trigger email notifications for wishlisted games; it also says discounted games may be surfaced in Steam specials based on tags, popularity, and recommendation, with front-page selection refreshed regularly. These are discovery features, not a promise that a particular offer will appear for every user.
Valve’s seasonal-sale documentation says released games on Steam can participate in seasonal sales. The Autumn Sale’s official dates are October 1–8, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific; the sale ends October 8, so verify the countdown on Steam rather than relying on an old roundup.
