There are no verified best graphics settings to recommend yet. Deep Silver’s free console update for Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux is scheduled for October 29, 2026. The publisher has announced console targets of true 4K at 60 FPS and upscaled 4K at 120 FPS, but has not yet confirmed selectable modes, exact menu settings, or how Xbox Series S differs. Until launch details are available, treat any settings advice as provisional.
What graphics settings should you use before the update launches?
As a cautious starting point, use the best-resolution 60 FPS experience the game makes available. Consider 120 FPS only if your console actually offers that option and your TV or monitor supports it. This is interim guidance based on Deep Silver’s announced targets—not a verified in-game preset or menu recommendation.
Do not look for a specific “Quality,” “Performance,” or other named graphics preset based on the announcement: Deep Silver has not confirmed the names of modes or whether players can choose between the announced targets. The full technical patch notes are due at launch.

These are publisher-announced targets, not independently tested results or confirmation that both options will appear as choices in each console’s settings. Deep Silver has not said that a 4K/60 FPS display needs to support 120 Hz; the display qualification in its announcement applies to the 120 FPS output.

Does 120 FPS require a new TV or monitor?
Deep Silver says the announced upscaled 4K at 120 FPS output requires suitable TV or monitor hardware. The announcement does not identify a specific display standard or model, nor does it say that compatible hardware alone guarantees a selectable 120 FPS mode. A 4K 120 Hz display is relevant if you want to use a 120 FPS output; the announcement does not say it is necessary for 4K at 60 FPS.
