Why Forza Horizon 5 is the closest Motorfest alternative
Both games put open-world driving inside a festival framework, so you can explore between events rather than selecting only isolated races. Playground Games describes Forza Horizon 5 as set in a rendition of Mexico, with driving adventures, Showcase events, narrative Horizon Stories, the Horizon Arcade, and the Festival Playlist. That mix makes it the most direct option here if what you want is a festival-style racing game with activities to discover as you roam.

For multiplayer, Playground Games lists cross-platform convoys and modes including Hide & Seek and The Eliminator. Its April 24, 2025 starting guide lists Xbox, Steam, PC, and PlayStation 5 for new players. Those are publisher-listed access options; confirm the current edition and storefront before buying.

Choose Need for Speed Unbound for a street-racing mood
Need for Speed Unbound is a better fit if the appeal is street-racing identity and customizing vehicles, rather than recreating Motorfest’s themed festival structure. EA’s product page lists free roam, PvP, customization, and post-launch content. These features make it relevant to players who want to drive around and race, but its emphasis is different from the festival-and-playlist comparison that favors Forza Horizon 5.
EA’s product page lists purchase paths for Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Epic. Its news listing includes the February 3, 2025 post “END OF KAIZEN REVIEW,” which describes the year of updates and announces no more updates. Treat that as EA’s stated update status in that post, not as a promise about future support.
