For active force feedback, the MOZA AY210 is the strongest all-round choice documented for current PC simulators. It combines 9 N·m of sustained roll torque, up to 210 N of pitch force, 150 mm of pitch travel and native telemetry support for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, X-Plane 12 and DCS World. The BRUNNER CLS-E range is the specialist alternative: the CLS-E NG provides strong pitch-force figures and detailed effects through CLS2Sim, while the CLS-E MK II adds a cockpit-style format and touch display.
Logitech and Honeycomb make more sense when you want a conventional yoke, lower entry cost or a broad accessory ecosystem. They are not motorized force-feedback yokes in the cited specifications. Prices and availability vary by region and date, so treat the figures below as published snapshots rather than permanent street prices.
What a force-feedback yoke adds to a home simulator
A conventional yoke reports your pitch and roll movements to the simulator and usually returns to center with springs or mechanical resistance. An active force-feedback yoke uses motors to apply changing forces commanded by the simulator or its companion software. The result can include resistance near a stall, trim-related pressure, turbulence, ground effects and other cues that a passive yoke cannot generate.
Force ratings are not directly interchangeable. MOZA publishes sustained roll torque in newton-metres and maximum pitch force in newtons; BRUNNER publishes peak pitch force, roll torque and travel. A higher number in one unit does not automatically mean a stronger or more realistic feel in every axis. Travel, software effects, mounting rigidity and the simulator profile matter just as much.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Active systems also require more planning. You need a rigid mount, a powered USB connection and simulator telemetry or a middleware application. A passive yoke can often be plugged in and assigned in minutes; an active unit may need firmware, profiles and force-effect tuning.

MOZA AY210: the clearest current active-feedback choice
What the specifications mean
MOZA’s 2026 support documentation describes the AY210 as a dual-motor force-feedback yoke base with 9 N·m of sustained roll torque and 210 N of maximum pitch force across 150 mm of travel. The roll axis rotates through 180 degrees. Those figures make it the most extensively quantified active option in the cited material, particularly if you want substantial roll resistance and a long pitch stroke.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →A 15-bit magnetic encoder provides high-resolution position sensing, while the stated 1,000 Hz USB refresh rate is intended to keep position updates frequent. The base has 13 programmable front-panel switches and accepts MOZA yoke-series handles, so the base and handle can be treated as separate upgrade decisions.
Simulator integration
The AY210 supports native telemetry force feedback in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, X-Plane 12 and DCS World without plugins. Native support is significant because the simulator can provide flight-state data directly rather than relying on a generic spring effect. The exact sensation still depends on the aircraft, simulator build and force profile; native support should not be read as a guarantee that every aircraft exposes identical trim, autopilot or turbulence behavior.
Mounting and computer requirements
The base is PC-only. Plan a rigid desktop or cockpit attachment before buying: a motor that can deliver meaningful torque will expose flex in a lightweight desk clamp. Leave room for the chosen handle and route the USB cable so it cannot pull on the base during a full roll movement.
Cost and bundles
MOZA’s product page displayed the AY210 base at $969 CAD and described it as in stock with dispatch within three business days when accessed in 2026. A base-plus-MFY-handle bundle displayed at $1,198 CAD. These are time- and region-specific snapshots, not guaranteed current prices. Microsoft’s 2025 Flight Simulator guide separately listed “MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke” at an RRP of $848; the difference demonstrates why currency, tax, bundle contents and date must be checked.

BRUNNER CLS-E: cockpit-oriented feedback through CLS2Sim
CLS-E NG
The CLS-E NG factsheet lists 40 N of peak pitch force, 1.7 N·m of roll torque and 90 mm of pitch travel. It uses USB/CAN connectivity and contactless, high-resolution position feedback. The Beechcraft-style handle includes programmable controls, making the NG more than a bare force base.
Its defining feature is the CLS2Sim environment. The cited documentation lists simulated engine, ground, turbulence, real trim, autopilot and stall effects, with support for X-Plane, FSX, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Prepar3D. This is the most explicit statement in the comparison that trim and autopilot cues are part of the supported effect set.
BRUNNER describes the NG for desktop or cockpit use and specifies brushless-motor technology and a two-year warranty. CLS2Sim requires Windows 7 or newer. If your simulator computer runs another operating system, the Windows requirement is a decisive constraint rather than a minor software detail.
CLS-E MK II
The MK II is the larger, display-equipped model in the cited BRUNNER material. It combines a Beechcraft-style wheel, programmable switch plate, eight-direction hat switch, touch display and contactless position feedback. The factsheet describes longer, cockpit-style travel than the NG but does not state a numeric travel value in the supplied specifications.
Choose the MK II when the display, extra panel controls and deeper cockpit installation matter more than a compact desktop footprint. Choose the NG when you want the CLS2Sim effect set and motorized control in a smaller format. BRUNNER pricing was not stated, so obtain a current regional quotation before comparing its total cost with MOZA.
Conventional alternatives: Logitech and Honeycomb
Logitech G Flight Yoke System
Logitech’s system is a practical entry point when you need both a yoke and throttle quadrant in one purchase. Logitech specifies five total axes, a stainless-steel elevator and aileron control shaft, and 25 programmable buttons and switch positions. The cited product information describes support for Microsoft Flight Simulator, FSX, X-Plane and Prepar3D on PC with the appropriate software or plug-in setup.
It is a conventional controller, not an active motorized yoke. It will report your inputs and provide its built-in mechanical feel, but the cited specifications do not describe simulator-driven trim, stall or autopilot force. Microsoft’s 2025 guide lists a $169.99 RRP, making it the lowest-cost complete yoke-and-throttle option in this comparison.

Select it for its ecosystem and mid-range positioning, not for force-feedback effects. Microsoft’s 2025 guide lists an RRP of $370.58; verify the current regional price and included hardware.
Does the yoke move with autopilot and trim?
Only an active system with an appropriate telemetry or middleware integration can apply simulator-driven force or motion cues. A passive yoke cannot physically move itself when the autopilot changes pitch or when trim is adjusted; it can only report the pilot’s manual input.
- MOZA AY210: native telemetry force feedback is documented for MSFS 2020/2024, X-Plane 12 and DCS World. The documentation establishes simulator data integration, but aircraft-specific trim and autopilot sensations can vary by title and profile.
- BRUNNER CLS-E NG and MK II: CLS2Sim explicitly lists real trim and autopilot effects, in addition to engine, ground, turbulence and stall effects, for its supported simulator family.
- Logitech and Honeycomb: the cited product information describes conventional input hardware and does not specify motorized autopilot or trim response.
When a force effect appears absent, first check that the aircraft is supported, telemetry is enabled and the correct profile is loaded. A simulator’s on-screen autopilot status can change even when the hardware has no mechanism to reproduce that change physically.
Which system works with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12?
| System | Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 | X-Plane 12 | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| MOZA AY210 | Native telemetry force feedback documented | Native telemetry force feedback documented | PC-only; behavior depends on aircraft and profile |
| BRUNNER CLS-E NG | The cited support list names MSFS 2020, not 2024 | Supported through CLS2Sim | Windows 7 or newer required for CLS2Sim |
| BRUNNER CLS-E MK II | The cited factsheet describes the same broad simulator family but does not separately state MSFS 2024 | Supported through CLS2Sim family support | Confirm current CLS2Sim compatibility before purchase |
| Logitech G Flight Yoke System | Microsoft Flight Simulator support is listed; the cited Logitech wording does not distinguish 2020 from 2024 | Supported with the appropriate software or plug-in setup | Conventional yoke; no active force feedback specified |
| Honeycomb ALPHA XPC | Listed by Microsoft’s Flight Simulator guide | Not stated in the cited material | Conventional yoke; verify simulator-specific assignments |
Compatibility listings do not guarantee that every third-party aircraft, custom profile or future simulator update will expose the same controls. Check the vendor’s current support page for your exact simulator version before paying for a premium motorized system.
Do you need a yoke, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals?
You can fly many simulator aircraft with only a yoke and keyboard or controller, but a complete setup normally separates the three primary control jobs:
- Yoke: pitch and roll for aircraft designed around a control wheel or column.
- Throttle quadrant: engine power and, depending on the aircraft, propeller, mixture, flaps, landing gear or other levers.
- Rudder pedals: yaw, nose-wheel steering and differential braking where the aircraft model supports them.
The Logitech system includes a throttle quadrant, so it is the simplest documented all-in-one starting point. MOZA’s AY210 is a yoke base and handle solution; budget separately for throttle and pedals. Honeycomb’s Alpha, Bravo and Charlie lineup supports a staged conventional build. BRUNNER’s force yokes provide programmable handle or panel controls, but the cited material does not say that a throttle quadrant or pedals are included.

For a single-engine trainer, pedals become important for coordinated turns, crosswind work and ground steering. For airliners, a throttle quadrant and autopilot controls usually improve workload management. A force yoke does not remove the need for those separate axes.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to install and tune a force-feedback yoke
1. Make the mechanical mount rigid
Attach the base to a desk or cockpit frame that cannot twist under motor load. Keep the yoke centered and leave its full pitch and roll envelope unobstructed. If the mount flexes, the simulator may receive correct position data while the pilot feels delayed or oscillating forces.
2. Install the required software
For MOZA, connect the AY210 to the PC and use the vendor’s current firmware and configuration software. For BRUNNER, install CLS2Sim on Windows 7 or newer and select the simulator integration required for your title. Conventional Logitech hardware may require the appropriate Logitech software or simulator plug-in; Honeycomb assignments are made in the simulator’s control options.
3. Update firmware before assigning axes
Complete firmware updates with the yoke stationary. Restart the configuration utility and simulator afterward so the operating system exposes the current device profile rather than a stale enumeration.
4. Calibrate center and travel
Use the simulator’s control-calibration page to set the neutral position, full pitch limits and full roll limits. Move slowly to each stop and confirm that the on-screen axis reaches 100 percent without binding. Do not add aggressive dead zones to hide a mechanical problem; fix the mount or alignment first.
5. Assign the primary axes and buttons
Assign pitch and roll to the yoke, then map the throttle, rudder, brakes and any included switches. Remove duplicate bindings from a gamepad or keyboard if two devices are fighting over the same command. With MOZA, label the 13 programmable front switches in your profile; with BRUNNER, map the handle or switch plate according to the aircraft role.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems6. Enable and tune force effects
Start with moderate force and damping. Test in a parked aircraft, then in calm flight, before increasing stall, turbulence or ground effects. Confirm that trim and autopilot cues are present only where the selected integration documents them. If the yoke pulls continuously at neutral, stop the motors and check centering, profile selection and simulator telemetry rather than compensating with excessive physical force.

7. Save per-simulator profiles
Keep separate profiles for MSFS, X-Plane and DCS, and create aircraft-specific variants when control geometry or effect strength differs. Record your preferred center, damping and button assignments so a firmware update can be restored quickly.
Choosing by priority
Choose MOZA AY210 when active force is the priority
It is the best fit when you want the largest published roll-torque figure in this comparison, 150 mm of pitch travel, a 180-degree roll range and native current-simulator telemetry without plugins. Accept the PC-only limitation, the premium cost and the need to source a handle and other controls as required.
Choose BRUNNER CLS-E NG when effect simulation matters most
The NG is appropriate when CLS2Sim’s documented engine, ground, turbulence, trim, autopilot and stall effects are more important than a long desktop travel. Its Windows requirement and 90 mm pitch travel should be confirmed against your cockpit layout.
Choose BRUNNER CLS-E MK II for a display-equipped cockpit
The MK II is the specialist option for a longer-travel cockpit installation with a touch display, switch plate and hat switch. Because the cited factsheet does not state a numeric travel or price, request those details for your region before comparing it with the NG or AY210.
Choose Logitech for a complete, inexpensive starting package
The Logitech system bundles the yoke and throttle quadrant, supplies five axes and 25 programmable controls, and has the lowest cited RRP. It is a sensible choice when active force is not required or when you want to learn your simulator before investing in a motorized base.
Choose Honeycomb for a modular conventional cockpit
The Alpha is the better direction when you want to add a Bravo throttle quadrant and Charlie pedals over time. It is a mid-range conventional-control path, not a force-feedback solution.
Common pitfalls and fixes
- Confusing resistance with telemetry: a spring or mechanical centering force is not simulator-driven feedback. Check whether the product has motors and a documented telemetry integration.
- Comparing incompatible force units: N, N·m, peak and sustained ratings describe different measurements. Compare like-for-like axes and read the qualification beside every number.
- Ignoring the operating system: MOZA’s base is PC-only, and BRUNNER CLS2Sim requires Windows 7 or newer. Confirm the host computer before ordering.
- Using a flexible desk mount: motor torque can move the mount instead of conveying a clean cue. Reinforce the desk or use a cockpit frame.
- Expecting every aircraft to expose every effect: telemetry and CLS2Sim support are not identical to universal aircraft behavior. Test with a documented aircraft profile.
- Buying a yoke without a plan for yaw and power: budget for pedals and a throttle solution if your aircraft or flying style needs them.
- Assuming a listed RRP is today’s price: the cited MOZA pages and Microsoft guide use different dates, currencies and product contexts. Recheck tax, shipping, stock and bundle contents.
Buying checklist
- Decide whether you require active motor force or only accurate conventional axes.
- Confirm your simulator version, aircraft types and operating system.
- Compare force type, travel and range rather than headline numbers alone.
- Verify that the mount can withstand the chosen motor torque.
- Price the complete system, including handle, throttle, pedals, mounting hardware and software.
- Check current regional stock, warranty terms and return policy.
- Plan separate profiles for each simulator and aircraft class.
Verdict
The MOZA AY210 is the strongest documented general recommendation for a modern PC home cockpit that specifically wants active force feedback. The BRUNNER CLS-E NG and MK II are compelling specialist choices when CLS2Sim effects, Windows integration or a display-equipped cockpit outweigh price and simplicity. Logitech is the practical entry-level yoke-and-throttle package, while Honeycomb is the conventional modular path. None of the published figures replaces hands-on testing, so treat the manufacturers’ force ratings, compatibility statements and price snapshots as specifications to verify rather than independent performance measurements.
