Echo Sub is for compatible Echo setups
Echo Sub is not a universal subwoofer: Amazon says it cannot be used on its own and must be paired with supported Echo speakers in an Alexa Home Theater configuration. The Fire TV and Echo models must be a compatible combination; check Amazon’s current compatibility table before purchasing or assuming an existing setup will work. For a purchase that may later expand into stereo or Alexa Home Theater, choose the Echo model only after checking its compatibility with the other speakers and Fire TV devices you own. A low device price is less useful if it cannot join the setup you intend to build.
