For an immediate elite upgrade, target Rodri; for a younger midfielder with room to grow, compare Moisés Caicedo and Ryan Gravenberch. Sandro Tonali and Martín Zubimendi are alternatives if you want a strong current rating at a lower displayed value. The right pick depends on your budget, squad update, and whether your team needs a ready-made starter or a longer-term project.

Choose Rodri for an immediate upgrade
Rodri leads this shortlist at 90 OVR, making him the clearest option if you need a top-level starter now and can accommodate his €110M displayed value. At 30, he is also the oldest player here, so this is more of an immediate-quality decision than a long development bet. The displayed value is not a confirmed asking price.

Caicedo is the stronger current-rated defensive profile in these listed attributes, while Gravenberch has the lower displayed value of the two at €67M versus €80M.
Choose Tonali or Zubimendi to contain the displayed cost
Tonali is 85 OVR at a displayed €60M, with DEF 81 and PHY 84. Zubimendi is 84 OVR at €46M, with DEF 80 and PHY 75. Check your save before making an offer
EA says FC 27 Manager Career uses TransferRoom-informed player valuations that evolve, including an adjusted-value model that considers factors such as form and league strength. EA also says Dynamic OVR can be affected by form, morale, and match fitness. As a result, database values provide a comparison point, not a fixed quote for every save. EA’s FC 27 Career Deep Dive describes these Career Mode changes.
