For a Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra or Fold8, look for a car charger whose phone-facing USB-C port specifically supports USB PD PPS at up to 45W. For a Galaxy Z Flip8, Samsung’s wired charging ceiling is 25W, so a well-specified 25W PPS port can be sufficient. Of the models with manufacturer details available here, the UGREEN 63W USB-C Car Charger and Spigen ArcStation Essential 113W are specification-based options—not tested or confirmed by their makers for the 2026 phones. The available evidence does not substantiate an 11-product ranking, so this guide compares those two candidates and explains how to choose safely.
What matters when choosing a car charger for these Galaxy phones?
Samsung lists maximum wired charging of 45W for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8, and 25W for the Galaxy Z Flip8. Those are phone charging ceilings, not a promise that every charger with the same total-wattage label will reach them. Check the specifications for the individual USB-C port you plan to use, including its PPS support and output when other ports are occupied. Samsung’s 2026 Galaxy Z Fold8 family specifications provide the phone limits; its adapter protocol examples illustrate why a wattage label alone is not enough.
For Fold8 Ultra and Fold8
If your goal is to approach the phones’ stated wired ceiling, prioritize a USB-C port specified for PD PPS up to 45W. Samsung’s 45W adapter profile includes PPS output, but that does not establish that every third-party 45W charger uses the same profile. Neither candidate below explicitly names the 2026 Fold8 family on the manufacturer page described here, so compatibility is based on specifications rather than a model-specific confirmation.

For Flip8
The Flip8’s stated wired ceiling is 25W. A charger with a clearly specified 25W PPS-capable USB-C port may meet that target; buying a higher combined-output adapter does not by itself make the phone charge faster.

For multiple devices
Compare the output allocation for the specific ports used at the same time, not just the adapter’s combined wattage. A second connected device can change what is available to the phone port. Check the current manual or product listing for that shared-output behavior.
Two car chargers with relevant manufacturer specifications
These are candidates based on manufacturer-published specifications, not hands-on test results. Confirm the current model identity, listing, port behavior, and fit in your vehicle before buying.

How to check whether a charger fits your needs
- Match the port to the phone. For a Fold8 Ultra or Fold8, look for USB-C PD PPS up to 45W on the port that will charge the phone. For Flip8, look for a clearly specified 25W PPS option if you want to match its listed wired ceiling.
- Read per-port output, not only total output. An adapter’s combined rating can include power spread across several ports. Confirm the phone port’s own profile and whether it changes when another device is connected.
- Check the cable. Samsung’s published comparison figures use a 3A USB-C cable. Confirm that your cable is suitable for the charger’s intended output and use the cable guidance supplied with the charger and phone.
- Confirm physical and vehicle compatibility. Check that the adapter fits the vehicle’s 12V socket and that the exact product version is the one described in the listing. The specifications cited here do not establish fit in every vehicle.
- Use realistic expectations. Samsung’s charging figures describe its own travel adapters under controlled conditions, not either car charger in this guide. Real charging speed can vary with use and charging conditions.
What Samsung’s charging figures do—and do not—tell you
Samsung reports up to 67% in around 30 minutes for Fold8 Ultra with a 45W adapter and 3A USB-C cable, up to 63% for Fold8 under the same stated setup, and up to 55% for Flip8 with a 25W adapter and 3A cable. These are Samsung internal-lab results starting at 0% with services, features, and screens off. Samsung says actual speed varies with usage and charging conditions, and notes that adapters are sold separately. Those percentages should not be treated as expected results for a car charger.
Samsung recommends using Samsung-approved chargers and cables. Its published PD/PPS profiles for Samsung adapters are useful protocol context, but they do not verify the performance of every third-party car adapter. Charging can also slow because of factors such as temperature, battery charge level, charger, and phone model.

When a wireless car charger is a different choice
This guide covers wired 12V car adapters. Samsung lists fast wireless charging at 20W for Fold8 Ultra and Fold8 and 15W for Flip8, with WPC-compatible wireless charging.
