ComicBook.com reported on October 5, 2026, that Best Buy’s Techtober sale had the 32GB Lenovo Legion Go S for $999.99, compared with a reported $1,199.99 launch price. The report called it the handheld’s lowest price yet, but the available Best Buy listing does not confirm that offer or establish a historical low. Check the live listing for the exact model and price before buying.
What price did ComicBook.com report?
Colette Bennett’s October 5, 2026, ComicBook.com sale report said Best Buy was offering a 32GB Legion Go S for $999.99 and described that price as a new low. The same report gave $1,199.99 as the launch price. These figures are claims in the report, not independently verified current pricing or price-history results.
TechRadar’s October 5, 2026, Techtober deals roundup confirms the retailer was running a promotion, but its returned text does not verify the Legion Go S offer. The captured Best Buy listing also does not reliably corroborate the reported price: its deal end date predates the report, and its price fields do not reconcile with $999.99. Treat the deal as unconfirmed until the live product page shows that price for the model you intend to buy.
Is $999.99 the Legion Go S’s lowest price yet?
That is how ComicBook.com characterized the deal, but the available information does not establish a historical minimum. A retailer listing can show a current or past price; confirming a record low requires dated price-history evidence for the same configuration. No such independent history is established here, so “lowest price yet” should be read as the report’s claim, not a verified record.

Which Legion Go S model has SteamOS?
Best Buy’s listing identifies the SteamOS configuration as model 83N6000GUS, with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Best Buy separately lists a Windows configuration, model 83N60000US, also with Ryzen Z1 Extreme, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The model numbers differ by one character, so check the operating system and complete model number rather than relying on the product name alone.
What to verify on Best Buy before ordering
- Open Best Buy’s live listing for the Legion Go S and confirm the price shown at checkout, not an old deal field or a search result.
- Check that the listing is model 83N6000GUS if you want the SteamOS version; the separate Windows model is 83N60000US.
- Match the specifications—Ryzen Z1 Extreme, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD—to the configuration named in the deal report.
- For a historical-low claim, compare dated price records for this exact model rather than assuming a discount label or launch-price comparison proves a record.
Accessories and compatibility
Best Buy’s SteamOS product listing surfaces a Legion Go S carry case and screen protector, but their current availability and fit across different variants have not been established. Confirm the accessory’s stated compatibility with your exact model before purchasing.
