What the $690 Best Buy deal referred to
HotHardware reported the $690 maximum discount on October 6, 2025, for an Acer Nitro 60 desktop with an Intel Core i5-14400F, GeForce RTX 5060, 64GB of RAM and a 4TB SSD. Those figures describe that historical offer, not a current price or guaranteed discount. HotHardware’s report also says, “We have not tested this model ourselves,” so its deal coverage is not an independent performance review.

How to compare Acer RTX 50 deals
“RTX 50” identifies a graphics-card generation, not a single performance level. An RTX 5060 laptop and an RTX 5070 Ti desktop are not interchangeable options, and the label alone does not establish how either system performs. The available reports do not provide standardized independent benchmark results for these exact configurations.

- Match the product type: Compare a laptop with a laptop or a desktop with a desktop. For laptops, check the display specifications as well as the GPU; they are not stated in the offers summarized above.
- Verify the exact components: Confirm the processor, full GPU model, installed RAM and storage capacity on the product page. Nitro and Predator names cover multiple configurations.
- Check what is included: The reported Nitro 60 package included a 1TB docking station. Do not assume accessories from one bundle are included with another listing.
- Judge the price against the listing you are buying: Confirm the seller, current checkout price and any stated reference price. A discount label or claimed saving is not a performance measure, and the historical $690 figure does not apply to every Acer RTX 50 system.
- Recheck availability: Sale labels, stock and pickup dates can change. Confirm the offer directly with Best Buy immediately before purchase.
