What the 2024 Best Buy OLED deal headline means
HotHardware’s Tim Sweezy published the original article on Saturday, May 4, 2024. It covered then-available Best Buy offers on Sony, Samsung, and LG OLED TVs, and separately mentioned a Hisense Mini-LED/QLED television. Its weekend timing and prices are historical; they should not be read as offers available now. Read the original HotHardware article.

How to compare an OLED offer before you buy
Compare the exact model rather than relying on a brand name or a broad “OLED deal” label. Retailers may list different sizes and model years at different prices, and the same store does not always have the lowest offer. Tom’s Guide specifically recommends comparing retailers.
- Model and size: Match the full model name and screen size. A 48-inch B6 is not interchangeable with another size or series.
- Model year: Check the year in the listing; a newer model and an older one may have different pricing.
- Price and reference price: Record the live price and any displayed original price or discount. A crossed-out price or sale label may change.
- Retailer and fulfillment: Confirm whether the offer is from Best Buy, Amazon, or another retailer, and check pickup or delivery for your location.
- Exclusive label: Treat exclusivity as applying only to the specific model and listing that display it.
Best Buy’s listing provides model, size, price, and fulfillment details. Use those details to compare the same TV elsewhere; the Amazon starting price reported by Tom’s Guide does not establish that Amazon carries the specific LG B6 at that price.
