The Motorola moto g power (2026) is the clearest verified U.S. match for a budget phone with both a 120Hz display and stereo speakers. Motorola announced it at a U.S. launch MSRP of $299.99, but that is not a current price or proof of stock. Other Motorola models have some of the right specifications, yet the available official details do not establish them all as current, affordable U.S. alternatives that meet both requirements.
Best verified pick: Motorola moto g power (2026)
Motorola’s U.S. specifications list a 6.8-inch Full HD+ LCD with 2388 × 1080 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. That confirms the two headline features; it does not establish how the speakers sound in independent listening tests.
The manufacturer lists 128GB of built-in storage, microSD expansion up to 1TB, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP68/IP69 water protection. It specifies a 5,200mAh battery and 30W charging capability. Motorola’s announcement calls the charging system 30W TurboPower; the charger may be sold separately in some markets. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent battery or durability test results. Motorola notes that specifications can vary by market, so check that a listing is for the U.S. model.
What the launch price tells you—and what it does not
Motorola announced a U.S. launch MSRP of $299.99 and said the phone would be sold through Best Buy, Amazon.com, and Motorola.com. The announcement is from 2025; it does not verify an October 2026 street price, current inventory, or the price of an unlocked unit today. 120Hz is a maximum, not a constant
Motorola says Smart & balanced mode can range from 30Hz to 120Hz. The phone may use a lower refresh rate depending on its settings and the app or content. A 120Hz specification therefore means the display can reach that rate; it does not mean every app, game, or screen will run at 120Hz.
Other Motorola models: what is and is not confirmed
| Model | Display information | Stereo-speaker evidence | U.S. budget status |
|---|---|---|---|
| moto g (2025) | Motorola’s U.S. product page lists a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. | Motorola’s comparison-page search result describes two large stereo speakers, but the opened product information did not provide enough detail to verify the full speaker specification. | Current price and complete speaker details are not established here. Check the exact U.S. model and current listing before treating it as a qualifying choice. |
| moto g96 5G | Motorola Support lists a 6.67-inch pOLED screen with a refresh rate up to 144Hz. | Motorola Support lists stereo speakers. | U.S. price and retail availability are not established, so its fit as a U.S. budget recommendation is unconfirmed. |
| moto g (2026) | Motorola’s launch announcement lists a 6.7-inch 120Hz display. | The announcement reviewed here does not confirm stereo speakers. | The announced U.S. launch MSRP was $199.99, not a verified current price. The display claim alone is not enough to qualify it. |
| moto g play (2026) | Motorola’s launch announcement lists a 6.7-inch 120Hz display. | The announcement reviewed here does not confirm stereo speakers. | The announced U.S. launch MSRP was $179.99, not a verified current price. The display claim alone is not enough to qualify it. |
The launch MSRPs for the 2026 moto g and moto g play are not evidence of current pricing. Likewise, a phone’s Dolby branding or high refresh-rate display should not be used as a substitute for confirming that its exact model has stereo speakers.

How to choose and verify a phone before buying
- Confirm both features for the exact model. Look for an official specification page that explicitly states a refresh rate of 120Hz or higher and stereo speakers. Check the market variant and carrier or unlocked model number; specifications can differ across markets.
- Check the current price and stock. Treat a launch MSRP as historical context, not as a live offer. Compare the price of the model actually in stock, and check carrier compatibility if you plan to use an unlocked phone.
- Check what “120Hz” means in practice. See whether the manufacturer describes a maximum or adaptive rate, and whether settings, apps, or content can restrict it. Do not assume every game supports high-refresh playback.
- Match the remaining specifications to your needs. Consider screen size and resolution, storage and expansion, battery and charging specifications, durability rating, weight, headphone jack, and software support. Confirm each detail for the exact regional model rather than inferring it from a similarly named phone.
