Several bowling shoes are sold in manufacturer-listed wide sizes, but the right choice depends on the exact model, size, handedness, and sole setup—not just the brand. Verified options include men’s wide versions of the KR Strikeforce Flyer Mesh and Brunswick Slingshot Black and Renegade, plus women’s wide versions of the KR Strikeforce Maui and Starr. Treat these as candidates to check, not a promise of personal comfort: the available listings do not establish interior measurements or individual fit outcomes.
Wide bowling shoes to compare
The listings below establish that specific wide variants are offered; they do not show that every size or color is in stock. Confirm the width and size on the live listing before ordering.
| Model | Listed wide sizes | Verified features | Variant detail to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| KR Strikeforce Flyer Mesh | Men’s sizes 7–12, 13, 14, and 15 | Engineered mesh upper; padded tongue and collar; non-marking outsole; #8 microfiber slide pad on both shoes with FlexSlide Technology; manufacturer states a two-year warranty. | Verify the selected width and exact size at checkout. |
| Brunswick Slingshot Black | Men’s wide (2E) sizes 8–12, 13, and 14 | Knit upper; slip-on with no lace fastening; molded EVA outsole; raised rubber heel; microfiber slide soles on both shoes. | The wide version is black-only. |
| Brunswick Renegade | Men’s wide (2E) sizes 8–12, 13, 14, and 15 | Synthetic upper; molded EVA outsole; microfiber slide soles on both shoes; padded collar and tongue. | Wide sizes are listed only for the mesh version. Check the exact listing rather than assuming specifications carry across colors. |
| KR Strikeforce Maui | Women’s wide sizes 6–10 and 11 | Knitted upper; lace-up closure; microfiber slide pad on both shoes; manufacturer states a two-year warranty. | Confirm the currently listed color and size variant. |
| KR Strikeforce Starr | Women’s wide sizes shown for right-handed variants, 6.5–11 | Performance shoe with interchangeable slide pad and heel. | The size detail comes from a product result; confirm the specific handedness, size, and availability with the seller. |

What the width labels do—and do not—tell you
A wide label is useful for narrowing the shortlist, but it is not a universal measurement of interior space across brands or models. The listed products use different sizing ranges, and Brunswick identifies its wide versions as 2E. The available listings do not establish a universal conversion rule between men’s and women’s sizing, or provide measured interior widths or shoe-last dimensions.
#1 Best Overall
- Seamless, soft, lightweight and breathable knitted upper
- Microfiber slide sole on both shoes
- Comfort footbed for additional support
- Ultra light outsole with raised rubber heel
Do not infer that a brand offers wide sizing throughout its range. For example, KR Strikeforce lists the Wingman as medium width only, while the Flyer Mesh has a wide option. Confirm width on the individual model page and again for the selected variant.
How to choose between viable models
Start with size and the exact variant
Check the size range for the precise model and width. The Flyer Mesh listing starts at men’s size 7, while the wide Slingshot and Renegade listings start at men’s size 8. The Renegade’s wide sizes are limited to mesh, and the Slingshot wide version is black-only. A model name alone does not guarantee the desired width, size, or color.
Rank #2
- Soft engineered mesh upper: Features a lightweight and breathable engineered mesh upper for long-lasting comfort during bowling sessions.
- Comfort-fit construction: Designed with a specialized construction that ensures a comfortable and secure fit for extended wear.
- Fully textile lined with padded tongue and collar: Interior features complete textile lining with added padding on the tongue and collar for enhanced comfort and support.
- Universal slide soles: Equipped with #8 white microfiber slide pads on both shoes with FlexSlide Technology, suitable for both right- and left-handed bowlers.
- Non-marking rubber outsole: High-quality non-marking rubber outsole provides reliable traction without leaving marks on bowling alley floors.
Match handedness and sole setup to your use
The Flyer Mesh and Slingshot list slide material on both shoes. The Maui also lists a microfiber slide pad on both shoes. By contrast, the Starr is a performance shoe with interchangeable slide pads and heels, and its wide sizing is shown for right-handed variants. Adjustable or interchangeable components may be relevant if you already use that kind of sole system; verify which handedness and components come with the particular listing.

Its assortment includes models from Dexter, Hammer, Brunswick, KR Strikeforce, 3G, and Linds. Treat the category as a retailer-specific discovery tool, not a complete or authoritative manufacturer specification: Bowling.com wide shoes.

Consider closure and upper without treating them as fit proof
The Slingshot is a slip-on with a knit upper; the Flyer Mesh has an engineered mesh upper, and the Maui has a knitted upper and lace-up closure. These are concrete design differences, but a material or closure label cannot predict whether a shoe will feel comfortable on an individual foot.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Verify the fit before committing
- Open the exact product listing. Confirm that the selected model, color, width, handedness, and size are the variant you intend to buy.
- Check the current size and stock details. Availability can change; do not rely on a general model description or retailer category filter alone.
- Try the shoe on if possible. A local pro shop may let you assess the fit directly. KR Strikeforce and Brunswick provide shop locators through their sites.
- Review the seller’s current return terms before ordering. Return policies were not compared for these listings, so check the terms for the specific seller and purchase.
Manufacturer-stated warranties are not a substitute for confirming fit. The Flyer Mesh and Maui listings state two-year warranties; check the relevant product page for the applicable terms.
