Which deal made the most sense?
For two services at a low annual cost: Disney+ and Hulu
The bundle’s appeal was the combination of two services for $4.99 a month over a full year. The price applied to the ad-supported versions, not an ad-free tier. MacRumors reported the precise monthly rate and the $12.99 comparison price; the roughly $60 annual figure is the result of multiplying $4.99 by 12 and rounding.
For a short Apple TV+ subscription: Apple TV+
Engadget reported a six-month Apple TV+ promotion at $6 a month. It could suit someone who wanted a shorter commitment than a year, but the report required direct signup through Apple. The offer was not independently confirmed by an Apple announcement in the cited coverage, so its terms should be understood as Engadget’s reporting.

For the lowest promotional monthly rate: HBO Max Basic with Ads
HBO Max’s $2.99 monthly price was for Basic with Ads, not an ad-free plan. Warner Bros. Discovery’s announcement specified the 12-month introductory term, a 70% discount against $10.99 per month, new-customer eligibility, supported signup routes, and the December 1 deadline. Engadget also described a Prime Video add-on route; the official release listed the other channels shown in the table.

Engadget’s updated roundup also included limited-time offers for Sling TV Orange day passes, Paramount+, Starz, Plex, Fubo TV, DirecTV, Audible, and MasterClass. Its examples included a $1 Sling Orange day pass, Paramount+ for $6 for two months, Starz for $12 for one year, and a $150 Plex lifetime pass. These are historical examples from that roundup, not current prices; the cited report did not establish all secondary offers’ eligibility and signup terms on a comparable basis.

Why the advertised monthly price is not the whole comparison
- Check the tier: Disney+ and Hulu’s deal was ad-supported, as was HBO Max’s Basic with Ads offer.
- Compare the full term: Apple TV+ was discounted for six months; the Disney bundle and HBO Max offer ran for 12 months.
- Check eligibility: Disney and Hulu allowed new and eligible returning customers; HBO Max specified new customers only.
- Use the required signup route: Apple TV+ required direct signup through Apple according to Engadget. HBO Max named its website and select partners.
- Review renewal terms: The Disney/Hulu report said its price would revert after 12 months unless cancelled. The cited Apple TV+ and HBO Max offer descriptions do not state a renewal price.
Are these Black Friday streaming deals still available?
No. The named promotions ended December 1, 2025. As of October 8, 2026, this is a retrospective of those offers, not a current deal list. A service’s current subscription or help page does not establish that its 2025 promotion continues.
