Choose Lunara if you prefer ranged attacks and a more sustain-oriented style; choose Helion if you want close-range combos and burst. Current third-party guides describe both as Light starters and report matching starting stats, but they do not establish a universal winner through official comparative testing. Your preferred combat rhythm is the clearest basis for choosing.
How Lunara and Helion differ in combat
The practical distinction reported by current guides is positioning: Lunara fights at range, while Helion commits to targets at close quarters. Their reported mechanics also support different rhythms.

Choose Lunara if you want to keep your distance
- You prefer attacking from range rather than staying beside a target.
- You like a loop that builds toward attacks and includes some reported recovery.
- You value a potentially safer approach to a longer fight over committing to close-range bursts.
Choose Helion if you want to engage up close
- You enjoy melee combat and staying close to your target.
- You want to chain basic attacks into an empowered skill, as the guide describes.
- You prefer an aggressive, burst-oriented rhythm.
Neither preference proves a higher overall power level. The guides provide a style comparison, not controlled evidence that one starter performs better across the game.

Do their starting stats or element make one better?
The Aniimo Eggs guide reports that Lunara and Helion share the same listed starting stats and are both Light creatures. That report weakens any choice based only on a supposed advantage in their starting stat panels, but it is not independently verified here against official character documentation. Check the current in-game panels if those values matter to your decision.
The official Aniimo Wiki index lists both Lunara and Helion as creatures, but the index does not document their starter mechanics. A separate comparison guide checked September 27, 2026, also describes the broad ranged-versus-melee distinction: Aniimo Eggs starter comparison.

Can you get the other starter later?
A current third-party guide says the other starter can be obtained later, but the official sources cited here do not confirm how or when. Do not assume the choice is reversible or that the second creature is quickly available. Check current in-game acquisition information or an official Aniimo source before relying on that possibility.

Aniimo’s official launch announcement says the PC and console launch was September 16, 2026, followed by the mobile launch on September 23, 2026. It states that mobile players share progression with PC and console players when using the same server and account. The announcement describes launch rewards as in-game items and activities; it does not recommend one starter over the other. See the official Aniimo launch announcement.
