The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 is the closest alternative to the Motorola Razr+ if you want another pocketable clamshell. For the comparison here, the baseline is specifically the Motorola Razr Plus (2025); phone features and model generations can change, so check the exact versions sold where you live. If your priority is a much larger screen for multitasking, consider book-style foldables such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, or Motorola Razr Fold instead. They are a different kind of replacement, not larger versions of the same flip-phone experience.
Choose a flip phone or a book-style foldable first
A clamshell foldable closes into a compact shape and opens into a conventional smartphone-sized screen. A book-style foldable opens like a small book, giving you a larger inner display for multitasking, reading, or other work. That larger screen can be useful, but the phone is not a like-for-like substitute if pocketability is the reason you chose a Razr+.
- Stay with a flip: Compare the Galaxy Z Flip7 if you want a folding clamshell and a direct alternative to the Razr Plus (2025).
- Move to a book-style phone: Compare the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold if your priority is a larger work surface. The Motorola Razr Fold is another option in this category.
Foldable recommendations are especially time-sensitive. TechRadar says Samsung announced newer foldables, including the Galaxy Z Flip8 and Z Fold8 family, while noting that it still needed to review them before changing its recommendations. Check the current generation, local availability, and price before deciding which phone is best right now. TechRadar’s foldable-phone guide

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is the clearest Razr+ alternative among the phones covered here because it keeps the compact clamshell form. PhoneArena compares it directly with the Razr Plus (2025). Its comparison reports a 6.9-inch internal display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 4.1-inch cover display, an Exynos 2500 processor, and 50 MP main and 12 MP ultrawide rear cameras. These are model-specific specifications; confirm the exact configuration in your market before buying. PhoneArena’s Razr Plus (2025) vs. Galaxy Z Flip7 comparison

Why consider it over the Razr Plus (2025)?
- Camera flexibility: The Flip7’s rear-camera setup includes an ultrawide camera, useful when fitting more of a scene into a shot. That may matter more to you than a small difference in another camera specification.
- Longer stated support: PhoneArena reports a seven-year commitment for OS and security updates for the Flip7, compared with four years promised for the Razr Plus (2025). Treat these as commitments reported for those models, not a guarantee for every regional variant; check the manufacturers’ current support terms before purchase.
- Published performance results: In PhoneArena’s Geekbench 6 results, the Flip7 scored 2,177 in single-core and 7,419 in multi-core, versus 1,896 and 4,814 for the Razr Plus (2025), respectively. Those are results from that publication’s testing, not a promise of how fast every app will feel in daily use.
- Publication-specific battery estimate: PhoneArena reported 7 hours 3 minutes for the Flip7 and 6 hours 34 minutes for the Razr Plus (2025) in its battery-life estimate test. This is a test result, not a prediction of your own screen time; usage, signal, settings, and other conditions affect battery life.
The Flip7 makes the most sense if you want to keep the flip-phone format but value its ultrawide camera or the longer update commitment reported by PhoneArena. Compare cover-screen functions, durability terms, charging, and local price as well as the headline specs; the cited comparison does not establish how those details will suit your particular use.
Best book-style alternatives for a larger screen
These phones suit buyers prepared to trade some clamshell compactness for a larger unfolded display. They belong on a Razr+ shortlist only if the larger-screen benefits matter more to you than keeping a pocketable flip.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7
Consider the Z Fold7 as a book-style option if your aim is to open your phone into a larger multitasking screen. The sources covered here do not establish a detailed head-to-head winner between it and the Razr Plus (2025). Compare the current model’s full specifications, regional availability, price, durability and support terms before treating it as the right replacement.
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is another book-style choice, with camera and durability points worth checking against your needs. Tom’s Guide describes it as IP68 rated and equipped with a 5x telephoto camera, and highlights productivity improvements. TechRadar says it offers a larger battery and longer-range 5x telephoto camera than the Galaxy Z Fold7. Ratings and specifications can vary by region or retail configuration, so confirm the exact version and its current price where you live. Motorola Razr Fold
The Razr Fold is a book-style foldable, not a clamshell Razr+ replacement. Tom’s Guide reports support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, a 6,000 mAh battery, 80W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging. Those features make it relevant if you want a large-screen Motorola with stylus input, but verify official specifications and the final retail configuration in your market before relying on them. How to decide between these foldables
- Settle the form factor: Choose the Z Flip7 for a clamshell. Consider the Z Fold7, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, or Razr Fold only if you want a book-style inner screen.
- Match the camera to your photos: The Z Flip7’s cited rear-camera mix includes an ultrawide. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is described by Tom’s Guide as having a 5x telephoto. Decide which view you use more often rather than comparing megapixel counts alone.
- Weigh performance evidence carefully: PhoneArena’s benchmark and battery estimate provide a published comparison of the Flip7 and Razr Plus (2025), but results from a review test are not guarantees for everyday use. For other models, compare current full specifications and independent testing rather than assuming the clamshell results apply.
- Read support and durability terms for your region: Check the manufacturer’s current software-update commitment, warranty, repair options, and the exact device’s water- and dust-resistance rating. An IP rating is not a statement that a phone is immune to damage.
- Compare battery and charging in context: Check manufacturer specifications for the exact model sold locally, and keep capacity and charging-rate claims separate from real-world battery life.
- Check what you can actually buy: Confirm current generation, stock, storage configuration, regional compatibility, and local price. Foldable lineups and recommendations can shift quickly.
Which alternative should you choose?
For a direct Razr+ replacement, start with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7: it retains the clamshell format and is the model directly compared with the Razr Plus (2025) in the cited coverage. Choose a book-style phone only if you specifically want a larger unfolded screen—then compare the Galaxy Z Fold7, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Razr Fold against your priorities for cameras, stylus use, support, durability, and local availability.
